Hello hello hello. been a hell of a long time since I've been here. Any new stuff on the gibb or hex editing since last time?

Well aside from the hidden dev upgrades of Calcified Exoskeleton, and Quarian Shield Capacitor, and using Sheploo face textures, and 5+ bonus powers, I don't think so. I could be wrong though.

dont think you are but good to see you both back

Glad to be back :) Sorry for the absence, new job, new house, finally got a decent HDTV  :P

Recently started a new playthrough with this shepard :P

ever played fem shep if not you should Jennifer Hale's performance is way better than Mark Meer's(no offence to him its just that shes a great voice actress and is performance looks bad in comparison) even so that i tried starting from me 1 and go all the way with sheploo so id have one ready for me 3 i didnt even make it to eden prime its like watching a bad movie (once again no offence meant ive seen much worst living in the french part of canada movie are not in original version they are french dub in other words unwatchable i have too wait for dvd to watch them in eng but going of track sry)

My save recently got to 500KB and now no matter what I do I can't mod my save. I can't inject files or I can't replace files because when I Resign and Rehash my save goes down to 22KB-284KB and the game won't read it.

Does anyone know what I can do? I've tried deleting all the individual saves and I've tried making a lot of individual saves. The problem persists.

The only thing it sounds familiar to is what I've posted previously.  I have on occasion, messed up a career file by deleting or changing a save that the game seems to try to load automatically.  (My best guess is that somewhere it keeps some last used info--different from the autosave---that it tries to load before you select anything, and if it is missing or corrupted it messes up the whole career.  It acts more like a hard reference to a file location rather than a filename.)

Anyway, the way I have fixed it is to delete the corrupted career from the xbox.  Load a different career.  Then put the fixed career back and switch careers back to it.

The things I am sure of are:  First, once it gets to this state, even a good career will have problems.  I have tried putting back the original career before modding and still had trouble.  Second, switching careers first changes whatever reference it is looking for to the other career, allowing you to put back a fixed career file.

Well my avatar is my fav and the one I've worked on the most.  I got caught up in working on the hair/colour,face structure modding with the Gibbed editor and ran into some issues trying to get the on screen colour to match what I thought it would and got frustrated before I got around to working on my mshep much.  There seem to be multiple things that can affect colour in the editor and I've not put in the time to figure them all out yet.

I never got pics of my msheps--but mostly stuck to one there.  My femsheps kinda evolved into my avatar. :P

Now that I can get screenshots on pc rather than phone pics from console, I'll see about digging out the evolution of my sheps and posting in my album.

he could always trie to reash/resign with horison instead of modio some time wen one screw up the other doesnt owever im not sure horison is completely compatible with me2 save

because modio often make smaller file for no reason usually its not a problem though

So, I am curious, but haven't had a chance to check. What would be the max number you can put in the upgrade fields for tech and biotic powers?

For example, for tech duration, you can place the number 10, and make your tech attacks have no cooldown. For weapons, you can make weapon damage set as 10, and they'll be appended with a 'j' in their name.

So my question is, how far can I push it? Could I conceivably make it 99. For damage, that would probably be needlessly excessive, but for duration...

Hmm... I've never tried anything over 10 for damage and 5 for duration/cooldown because it would be a little too overpowered, but I don't see why you wouldn't be able to use higher numbers.

You can choose to "not" destroy the baby human reaper? thats new to me.

To solve your problem do like I did. Have a save right before you head through the Omega 4 Relay.
That way you can not only have multiple saves for your love interests but also for the endings.... I got large amounts of endings.

-1 No Love Interest. Paragon Ending destroying base
-2 No love Interest, renegade ending keeping base
-3 Tali and paragon
--4 Tali and renegade
-5 Miri and Paragon
-6 miri and renegade

If your not satisfied with your ending then just save it and load up a previous save and keep on going. That way you got multiple endings in the ways you like them.

If your going for jack then you'll have even more. But there ya go. Just make a save ebfore the Suicide Mission and you'll have all the endings.

for my biotic wen i play on insanity i go 20/5/10 and its not excessive its strong enough so i dont need guns but not so much as to kill in one hit. its pretymuch like playing normal with an unmoded save

i have no idea if can or can not kill the human reaper cause i never went renegade at this point in the game

yea could do that

but its not realy to have multiple possibility as much as to have the perfect import for my first playthrough cause i hope to get the better ending on my first playtrough like i did for mass effect 2

if this is all me1 stuff just do like i did and ex edit yourself with enough point to max out everything no need to reasing them that way

and ex edit is still the only way to my knowledge but its pretty easy wen you get the hang of it

oh hex edit then. I'll look around for intrusctions then. But for your perfect playthrough. Thats what I mean if you have multiple saves after the collector base youll have many options for your first ME3 game. Either way perfect falls within a conundrum... what is perfect for me aint perfect for you and vise versa. Hence why I suggest making multiple quick endings so you'll have choices down the road when ME3 comes out. You never know 4 months from now that your train of thought might have chance in regards with what you'd consider a perfect ending.

This may be a little off topic and I think I know the answer to this question already but does anyone know how to skip the opening cinematic? While its a great opener and I do like it seeing it once in a while when you see it more than 3 times just to get to the CC it can get a tad bit annoying...

Lol. I know what you mean.  AFAIK you can't on the xbox.  IIRC they mod the ini file on pc to do it.

If this is for creating new sheps, and you have access to a pc that will run the me2 demo, you could do it on pc then transfer the save though.

Forgot also to mention this: I gotten back into hex editing after months. But now my Hex Workshop tells me my trial period expired and I can't use it. Even if I download another one it tells me the same. Hell I've erased it completely from the computer and still nothing. Is there anyway to download another one and still use it. or for that matter maybe I didn't erase it completely from the computer so if anyone knows exactly how to bypass this I wold be grateful.

Haha okay i'll try that I really just wanna see some of the stuff I can do with the character creator. Maybe I cn create a good looking shep without mods. We shall see. Thanks for the reply!

Hey Spartas,

I can't remember when you were here last Spartas, do you have Pordis' new Gibbed editor that has all the hex editing stuff included? - no need to hex anymore for ME2.   Your hex workshop question made me wonder if maybe that was after you were here last?

New Gibbed Editor? wow... Nah last time I was here i left with hex editing being able to give weapons to my sentinel from soldier. Unlocking the upgrrades early... reducing cooldowns... basically by having more cooldown upgrades than normal.... and yeah that was it.

Edit: downlaoded the newer version.... donw know why the dudes that do the editor raise my hopes with that "power" tab if its never implemented :crying:

But the hex question is actually for ME1 I found with help from here and some digging that you can give your self some extra skill points in ME1 through hex editing, but my hex editor went on the fritz.

Keeps telling me my :30 day trial is over:

even though I used it for way longer than that when I first started. And I delete it, redownload from somewhere else is still comes after I reinstall it with the same message.

Anybody know how to mod in an assignment I forgot to complete. Specifically the one with Thax's stolen goods. I already beat everything its just I forgot to grab the shipping supplies on Samara's mission. I would really appreciate it if somebody could help me. My canon Shepard is depending on it. And if there is no way then I shall just have to deal with it.

E: If its even possible...

I understand the modding of ME is not as Fallout. You hae to extra the save from USB XTAXF then use modio or another one to extra the save from within that file.... if I remeber correctly haven't read the instructions yet. Sitll dealing with fallout. Hxd I got... is just seems empty... no caculator... no easy way to navigate unlock workshop.
