Maybe with a bit of work you could figure it out in the quests. Lemme look up a related topic. brbSpEcIaLRyAn wrote...
Anybody know how to mod in an assignment I forgot to complete. Specifically the one with Thax's stolen goods. I already beat everything its just I forgot to grab the shipping supplies on Samara's mission. I would really appreciate it if somebody could help me. My canon Shepard is depending on it. And if there is no way then I shall just have to deal with it.
E: If its even possible...
Okay, this is a similar topic for modifying the IFF triggering. Quething provided me some more info on this which I'm trying to make more accessible in Gibbed. I posted the info in my blog here. So if you can figure out which quest is the one you are interested in, you may be able to do something similar to retrigger the mission.
P.S. Another thing about tweaking saves on the pc is you can keep the game running, tweak a save, drop it in the directory and load it right up. No need to play around with a career file. The career is just the directory.

Alright I got it. I just unchecked the boxes for having Samara in my party so I can do her mission again. Thanks again Pordis Shepard!

I'd be surprised if that works and you can do the whole mission again. The game usually knows when the mission has been done even if you uncheck the boxes. You can sometimes get part way into the mission though, I know on Jack's mission you can re-land on the prison ship and walk up to the Turian but you can't get any further. I don't think I ever tried to do Samara's mission a second time by unchecking boxes - you may get far enough into the mission to get the info for Thax though since it's near the beginning.
If you are able to replay all of Samara's mission by unchecking boxes in Gibbed please post confirmation that it worked, I'd be interested in knowing. I had convinced myself it wasn't doable with my previous experiments - I know for sure some of them won't work - but would like to know if I'm wrong in thinking it never works.

Yea seems I spoke to soon. I was only able to get to the end of the mission where Samara was waiting to go to the normandy. All I needed was the shipping details for the Thax's stolen goods assignment. The Asari standing by the crime scene just couldn't let me through so I couldn't grab it. Unless there is a way to replay the whole mission I will just have to deal with the fact that I missed it. I don't think that it will have a significant impact on ME3 anyway if any at all.
E: And to answer your question no it didn't work to uncheck all the boxes all that happened was that my xbox froze everytime I tried to load my character. It corrupted my save file as well. I backed up the file though so we shall see if I can recover it. I revovered my save file. I just need to retart Samara's mission. I should also mention I did everything in the game besides Thax's stolen goods. Its not really a big deal if I can get this quest done but I would still like to try.

You can get behind those Asari by making a save in front of them and then changing the location numbers in Gibbed to the correct location numbers right behind them. I had to do that to play that mission with Liara in my squad. But in my case I hadn't done the mission already so once I was by them it all worked fine if you tried that I think the mission would keep getting messed up because you'd be redoing it.
Have you finished the SM and you are just trying to go back and complete everything?
If so you could probably save the game anywhere where you have a squad - then use the location numbers to get behind the Asari and pick up the quest - then save the game and enter the location numbers of your initial save and you should be back to where you started with the quest left unfinished. Then go land on Illium and you should meet the Krogan and complete the quest.

Yeah I finished everything. SM, Overlord, LotSB, Arrival and all the other assignments and loyalty missions. Everything in the game. I guess you could say I am a bit of a completionist when it comes to my main Shep. And do you happen to know what coordinates I need to change in order to get behind the asari?
Just that one assignment I forget to grab. Thats all I need to do everything in the game and then I can move on to bigger and better things.

Believe me, I understand completionism.
Off the top of my head no, but as soon as I can - later tonight - I'll fire up a save and get them for you and post them.

Here are the location numbers to get you back to the Thax quest start in Samara's mission.
I went ahead and actually did the mission without picking up the quest, then after recruiting Samara I went to the Citadel and saved and then used the numbers below and was able to pick up the thax quest and save again. I didn't mod myself back to the citadel and verify that you will meet the Krogan when landing on Illium to close the quest but I'm pretty confident that the rest of the quest will play out properly so you should be good with this.
Remember negative signs and decimals and all the other little things matter so copy exactly.

I'm not usually the type of player that has to experience the hardest difficulty, but not having that one achievement is kind of bothering me.

Theoretically could I change my difficulty to Insanity on the Suicide Mission and uncheck "Changed Difficulty" in Gibbed's to fool the game into thinking I played the whole game on Insanity? Would doing this unlock the achievements?

I've read more than once that that will work although I've never tried it myself. If I remember correctly people were even changing the difficulty just before the last spot on the SM where you can save (can't remember where that is) and then unchecking the box in Gibbed so you don't even need to play the whole SM on insanity if you don't want to.
If you are thinking about doing this for a brand new game you could also just actually play on Insanity and give yourself tons of health/shields, no cool downs, and massive upgrades to your guns and the game will be easier than casual. I think it was Spartas who killed the Human Reaper with one shot on Insanity after jacking his pistol damage beyond belief.

I haven't used a transfer cable before so this may be a dumb question, but what do you mean by the folder is empty? After you transfer the career to xbox does it show up in the dashboard->memory->games view? If so, does it say it is corrupted?spencer1519 wrote...
so here's my problem. I've followed the instructions to the letter (with the exception that I'm using a transfer cable in place of a flash drive), but whenever I try to reload a save onto the xbox, the save doesn't appear. It seems the second I save to device, the data gets deleted. I've immediately tried to load the data after saving it, and the folder is empty. I've tried backing up the unmodded data, but it gets deleted as well. I am simply unable to save a file (modded or otherwise).

So the first run through I did use a usb drive, but had the same problem, but the transfer cable seems to just be a quicker way to... well fail at this point.
I rehash and resign, then save the new files to the HDD, then I've tried opening the files I just saved from the disk I just saved them to, but when I do, the contents of the file (autosave, chaptersave, and save_0002) are all gone. Its just empty.
When I plug back in to the xbox, the save doesn't show up. Their is no corruption, it just isn't there. *poof*

like pordis i have no idea how to help you with the transfer cable but if youd try again with a flash drive and run into probleme again i could help you
if you try again with a flash drive use usbxtaf to extract the save from the flash drive and to put it back in instead of modio
i have no idea why javier change that part of the tutorial modio realy suck for extracting save plus the version of modio that as that function is plain crap bad the previous one is way better
try this:
1.put save on usb drive
2.extract save from usb drive with usbxtaf
3.put save in the old version of modio get the numbered save you want to mod out
4.mod with new version of gibbed by pordis
5.put the numbered save back in the named save with modio reash/resign
6.put the named save back on your usb drive with usbxtaf

Do you have a directory structure like this (note if you don't have a profile on the drive the directories may just show up as the numbers not the names. me2 is 454108CE):spencer1519 wrote...

Are you putting the file into the proper me2 saves directory?
I'm just grasping at straws right now. Perhaps you could try downloading modio again, or using usbxtaf to put the career save onto the disk?
