But here it is:
1- Load up and old save.
2- Make sure you clear the buy back screen from the Normandy trader as only 20 items may be sold, and even if u sell him 20 items some might stay some might get erased. So buy all the buy back screen first, is only 20 items.
3- Sell Up to 20 Items you wish to carry over.
One of my test involved. 4 Heavy Human Colossus. =2 Heavy predators H X.= 6 Bio amps 2 Omni tools, Savant X.- Opctic upgrade, frictionless materials, wedge hammer rounds. Combat exo, medical exo.
4- Make sure after selling the merchant the 20 or less items that you save right then and there in a new file. So make sure you got 1 save file open.
Example: I had 7 saves. I loaded number 7 sold the items then made the new save after selling be 8.
5- After saving go back to the galaxy map and travel to a hub world that isn't the Citadel(for some reason the citadel works sometimes it doesn't. I did it in Noveria and Feros... given I only went to feros once in all the tests so I suggest Noveria.
Traveling to the hub world will trigger and Autosave... which the autosave seems to be a key part.
6- Create a new career. If you turn off your xbox and come back later it wont work... so I guess it has to be in the same session... of gaming?
7- Pass eden prime then go to the normandy trader, he should have most if not all the items you sold.
PS: after step six, after you have already created a career right after the selling of 20 items once u have saved at least once you can go ahead and turn off your xbox the glitch will still work.
To recap:
1-Load an old save
2- Clear buy back menu, then sell the normandy trader up to 20 items, (geth armor don't transfer for me dont know why)
3-Make a new save right after selling the items
4- Go to a hub world (suggested noveria) to trigger tha autosave when you press "land". The autosave will trigger right after you press land. It will be triggered as your shep is standing in the CIC.
5- At this moment go to options, quit, and then create a new career.
6- Start the new career, pass Eden Prime, when you wake up after the beacon has knocked you out cold go to the normandy trader. He will have the items.
TIP:.... only way to buy these items is either selling during step 2-3 some low items to use the dr. whose friends with garrus trick... or mod your game via hex so you can get lots of money early in the game. If you know of other ways feel free.
Be careful not to sell anything until you get your items otherwise some if not all will be pushed aside for the new items you have sold... which makes it difficult to make money without selling for fear of clearing the buy back screen.
Have tested it 5 times. out of which only once I was able to find a pulse rifle(geth armory) that had carried over. The rest none of the armors, battlemaster, rage, or pulse rifles got through.

I do not take credit for this AT ALL. I been surfing the web for 2 days finding different people that have claimed to have done this but most didn't succeed. So I am sure alot out there already know how to but didn't find anything concrete. Either way w/e aint like I'm going to make money out of this. Whoever discovered this glitch to begin with cudos to you bla bla bla. Enjoy.

Cool to know. The geth stuff is maybe because you need the geth license? I know I did the save and reload at major ports trick to get the geth armours for wrex on one playthrough.Spartas Husky wrote...

So if you reload (sometimes a lot) you have a chance of getting some awesome stuff like the Krogan geth armour. Of course once you buy it. you can't reload until next port or visit.

? sorry but I dont understand what the liscenses are for. This glitch allows you to buy any armor you have sold to the quarter master in the old save. Allowing you to buy them back as soon as you wake up in the normandy's medical center. You dont even get to buy any liscenses by then and all the stuff is there. Something about the geth armory just doesn't carry over.
In an old save I sold 5 colossus, 5 battles masters, 3 rage, and 7 pulse rifles.
When I started the new career and finally got to the normandy. Th eonly thing the quartermaster had was the 5 colossus and 1 pulse rifle.
I've transfered upgrades, specifically medical and combat exo, energy plating, combat optics, sledge hammer rounds, frictionless materials.
kassa human turian and quarian.
Armax human and turian versions
Serrice. Bio amps and omni tools (savants)
Was able to purchase them from the buy back screen without the license. The glitch doesn't need em it just basically make the old game share the buy back screen with a new career.

Hey yeah thats the one I used. and I got it to work.... strange.
The azzhole thing to say would be "your missing a step or doing something wrong"... but I dont know then if ur following everything to the letter it must be working.
ALthough dont actually follow "EVERYTHING" to the letter.
For example when I search for 0B0000000000000007506C61796572 which is the player. I find it.
But the exp I dont really find them 9 lines up, from the start of your search. My experience appearns, 6 lines up and 3 to the right in every game. Why I am not sure.
What I did was this.
Search for the codes 0B0000000000000007506C61796572 which is the player. From the beginning of it, meaning putting your cursors right before the 0B. Count 15 lines up. by the way make sure you have 24 columns thats how I search it.
Now from the 5th line to the 15th count 12 columns to the right. Meaning you have made a search area of 10x 12 digit pairs. Go to the 15 line first digit pair and make a search for your experience hex code. Right there you should find it within that search area.
For the money try to get to 1400 I always search that number and is easy to find there isn't anything else...
For the talent points THE SAME thing.
Search your name in text string.
From there do the same, make a box of 10 by 12 and search it there.
Note: SOMETIMES SOMETIMES... and SOMETIMES. My exp in my game doesn't match my hex coding. But is really close. When you get use to it you'll know the area. For me my experience appears in the row 6or row 8. But this has only happended twice and even then I had 980 exp, and the hex said I had 970 so the number wasn't that far off.
try this... if not then.... give me a link to your save and I'll give it a shot.
PS: sometimes when I try to load the modded save while still playing it tells me "disc unreadable". But I just go back in and the modded game loads fine. But freezing xbox is a big no no.
PSS: Anyone knows if with Hex you can add an extra bonus talent. even with upgrades an untrained assault rifle... is not good.

Edit: Also you wouldn't happen to know how to max out the renegade and paragon meters. I know the glitch on Noveria but I wanna know if its possible via hex?

So have a total of 23 columns which they go up to the number 16. They start, 00-09, then 0A, 0B -0F, then 10, 11, 12-16.
Now lets say yous earch the first code to look for the 0B0000000000000007506C61796572 which is the player.
From the beginning of it. Meaning the 0B. Making 0B be 0. Then go up 1 2 3 4 5.
the 5th row is your base for your rectangle area. From 5 keep going up to 15. Then you will have a technically 11 rows 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15.
Now you go back down to that 5th column first digit and you make make it a 0. As in plotting a point in a table. Then you do the same you count 12... maybe to 15 to the right whichever is ur fancy.
You'll have a square technically 11 rows high, 16 colums in width. The codes will be there.
Glad it worked for ya. Not sure if I am explaining it correctly

Oh and no... I've never even tried it or read about it. Given there is no numbers to look for. Without someone far more experienced than me I would not even know where to start looking for the paragon points.

I couldn't get Gibbed Save Editor to work, until I installed NET Framework.
Then I found out that I installed a version that wasn't compatible. So I installed an updated version.
Then I found out that you can't open a save until you extract it from the data with Modio.
And now, Modio won't open because of some bullsh*t error about NET Framework, even though I HAVE THE LATEST F**KING VERSION.
Can someone please help me before I slit my damn wrists?

What version did you install ?
For Modio you'll need version 3.5 or higher (version 4.0 final is out).

I had NET 4.0 installed, and I actually had to install 3.5 to get Modio to work. Weird.

As far as I know you can't. The variables aren't near any markers so getting it to work would require a lot of guess work and trial and error. Even if you get it to work it's probably different for each save.
