Now I wish I had some skill with photoshop! I want to see farmer Shepard with his crack team of farm hands, recruited to help you fight off the invading big biotech companies. (Single player only)
The Illussive Man runs a local organic farmers co-operative that objects to all modern farming methods.

Anyone know where to get the original gibbed editor for the 360? The link at the start page doesn't work anymore, the file is no longer on se7en sins as far as I can tell.

I think I have it lying around someplace.  The one I have came from it, though...so basically the same thing.  Is there some specific reason you need XanderChaos'  version rather than the one I have posted?  (Edit:  If so let me know and I'll hunt it down for you.  I'm just too lazy to bother if there isn't a good reason to look. ;P)

Awhile back I was trying to take my party members weapons away so I could be the only person fighting on the battlefield with a gun (other than my enemies). I tried and tried, doing exactly what someone else on here did, but for some reason it wouldn't work. I forgot the other members name but they said they used to original gibbed, thats when I realized I didn't have that one anymore, ever since your newer version came out I think I deleted it. I was hoping getting my hands on that would allow me to that mod but IDK we'll see. Unless you know of a way to remove party members weapons with the new version. The old process was to replace their weapon code with the word "none" (no quotations) and then they had no weapon. It never worked for me though. Any help is much appreciated.

It was me.

I thought I actually used Pordis' editor to do it, but I would be surprised if it matters one way or another.

Here is a screen cap I took of what squadmates look like without guns.

It's pretty immersion breaking and they don't walk they slide when they move.  I never played more than a level with the game like that so I don't know how stable it is or even if it has to be remodded for every mission.

If you want to play with squadmates unable to do damage with their guns then I would use Pordis' editor and try putting negative values in the upgrade fields.  Negative upgrade values reduced both health and shields when I tried them ( I was able to take both down to zero and it affected squadmates) so I would assume they work like that on weapon damage too.  Just give your squadmates the same gun, one you are not using, and take it's damage down to almost nothing, like -50 in the upgrade field.  That way they won't have the stupid look they have when you take the guns away completely.  That should work, it's worth a try anyway.  The negative mod will also last from mission to mission - at least it did with health and shields.

I've not searched the whole thread. Just to ask, how do you "convert" a PC Save so you can play it on Xbox? I've opened a PC Save with Gibbet and saved it as Xbox Save, but thats not "openable" with my Xbox or either Modio :/

Yeah, thanks, well this doesn't help me either :/ . I can open my PC Save with Gibbet and save it as Xbox Save . But how do I open this now with my Xbox? I can't open the Save with Modio (Invalid Package) and if I just put it on my USB Xbox stick I don't even see the file.

because on xbox the save is in a character profile so you need to put that save in one because the game cant read a naked save

I have also tried that. But ingame on my 360 it just shows up the normal Xbox Saves, not the PC-to-Xbox-converted save

Edit: Works now. I don't know what I did wrong, but I did it a few times and now it works. Ty for help

Ok guys, I'm stumped! Played ME2 on PC a year ago. Decided to play on my XBox 360 slim so I purchased a pre-owned copy. Played through the intro to the part where you wake up. Got pistol, opened door and then saved game. Went to copy saved game (only 224MB in size?) to USB stick so I can Gibbed edit and xbox says that this file cannot be moved or copied?? So,

1. Where are the save games located?
2. How do I copy/move saved game now?

Btw, looked in Profile, saved game not there also. Help!

Forget it. After further research here, discovered you have to 'Move" file not 'Copy". My bad!

Go to memory under "my xbox" then "games" ME2.
Find the save and select it then move it - you cannot copy it.

Thanks for the help, I'm going to try that instead, it sounds a lot better than having my squadmates float around. I'm having another issue though. Today I tried to mod, I was going to attempt using the original gibbed to do this, I notced the save I took off my xbox on my usb didn't have the .xbsav or whatever extension on it.  As a result I could extract it with modio but not open it in gibbed. I looked at some old saves I have backed up on my computer and their extension is gone too. IDK how that happened, at first I thought I extracted the file improperly but as you can see that's not the case, can anyone help me with this?

EDIT: I also notice that when extracting, under "save as type" the drop down box has nothing in it, no file type at all, when I click on it to select a file type, nothing shows up either. This is really weird, I've never heard or seen this before, any help would be appreciated.

first you have to check if the file extension is realy gone and its not just windows acting up and hiding it when your sure its realy gone just write it back and windows is supose to recognise it again(thats true for any file type if you know the extension just write it back and its fixed)

here what it should look like : Save_0026.xbsav

o and by the way you should all use the old metode with usbxtaff never ad any problem that way and every monts some one as trouble will doing it the way javier said to do it in the op usbxtaf + old modio is way more stable and reliable than only new modio

I tried to type the extension when I extracted it, but it gave me an error message saying something about invalid path parameter or something like that. Also if I download a save from modio's uploads, it doesn't have the extension either.

It sounds more like you are talking about the career save that you extract from the xbox.  It does not have any extension.  Are you talking about the career file named like:  name_xx_class_DDMMYY  or the game save named: Save_0001.xbsav ?

Wow... I feel dumb now, lol, let me apologize to everyone, it's been like, months since I last modded, I completely skipped extracting the save in modio, lol, thanks pordis, I needed that distinction of "name_xx_class_DDMMYY" or "Save_0001" , wow I can't believe I did that lol.

np  In fact there is no career on pc version.  Just a directory named for the career with all the save files in it.

Very stupid question - do you use the ME1 career save or ME2 career save? I'm trying to skip ME1 and trying to make a save that i can use for ME2... what kind of "save" do i use?

To answer your question, to mod your ME2 game, u use your ME2 game save.
I think pordis' editor actually allows you to create a save but I'm not sure how, I could be wrong. I believe if you search the forum there are ways to make it so that you don't have to actually play ME1 to get certain decisions to take effect in ME2. I think you could actually start a new game and just use the editor to make some of the decisions you would have if you played ME1. Also you can download the interactive comic from the xbox live market, I think it's called genesis? It lets you pick things from ME1 if you didn't play already.

I'm sure other people on here can offer you some other solutions too, and if I made a mistake, everyone feel free to point it out, I don't want to give misinformation to another modder on this forum.

Aside from all that, I'd recommend you play ME1, one of the greatest games ever, and you'd be missing out if you didn't play it.

Ah thanks :)  I've already played ME1.  I love doing the main quest but its the side quests that get me burned out lol hence why i'm trying to skip it :)

The original Gibbed for pc would create a default save for mshep and femshep.  Mine should give you the same save for pc and the equivalent for xbox, but I can't say I've really tested them much.  afaik there is no editor for the me1 game saves.

Have fun modding, and be safe...keep backups.:police:

Very stupid question - do you use the ME1 career save or ME2 career save? I'm trying to skip ME1 and trying to make a save that i can use for ME2... what kind of "save" do i use?

THIS HAS BEEN TESTED - create a new ME2 save with an ME1 import if available (not absolutely necessary) - get through the prologue and save at the med bay. Extract the save and mod the ME1 plot flags to what you want; then under the raw tab, change the END GAME STATE to "Lived to fight another day".  This step is necessary as ME1 plot flags only trigger when importing the save from either ME1 or as a NG+ - so changing the end game gives you a completed ME2 playthrough for you to create a new game+ import with. Also change the character name in gibbeds if you wish and this will be recognised on the import.

EDIT: I didn't know genesis was available on XBOX so I looked it up - 320 points? Thanks, but no thanks.
I would suggest keeping the save you modded to use as a template for any other ME1 histories you wish to create so you don't have to watch the Normandy explode twice each time you want to try something new.

Lol.  idk that I've wanted to throw the tv out the window...but I've felt like screaming a few times. xD

@Mark B  Thanks for clarifying.  I was responding to the narrow point about being able to create a new game from scratch with Gibbed...but forgetting that what you said is more relevant for most ppl.
