As for creating a game save I thought the only way to do that was to use masseffectsaves.com (or a save generator, if there is one) and get a PC save then convert it using Epic Legions tool but, I've never tried it myself.

Gibbed distributed an mShep and femShep save (pc) with the original Gibbed.  The were accessed by the new m/f shep menu, but didn't work in the original xbox Gibbed, just because they were pc saves.  Since my mod to access either pc or xbox saves, they now work as in the original Gibbed again.   So not really anything I added, just a consequence of re-doing the byte order of the Gibbed editor---which was motivated by wanting to use the pc saves ppl were distributing.

Edit:  Oh and I have tried Epic Legion's online tool.  It works great.

afaik it doesn't work on 360.  In particular, this works fine on pc, but on 360 all the texture is missing so it just looks like a weird tent on the head, without even proper colouring.

Is it possible my usb drive or modio is corrupting my saves? I just saved a save to my computer and injected it back into modio and saved it, opened it on my xbox and it was corrupted. I know for sure the original file wasnt corrupted cause i can still play it, but when i use modio to inject it to my usb disk, it comes back corrupted. i just used a save that i made no changes to from the original, non-corrupted version and it still came back corrupted.

Is the career corrupted before you try to play it?  I.e. if you look in the dashboard memory does the career show up as corrupted when you first put it back?

If not, try loading a different career then go back to your modified career.  idk the exact situation, but I've noticed that in some cases it seems to try to pre-load a save when you first select the career and if something has changed or happened to that (maybe modio moved it, or if I deleted it) it will fail to load and then the career shows up as corrupted.

I suppose you are remembering to re-hash re-sign.

this thing's over 150 pages now, so there's no way i'm gonna read all of it, but does anyone know how to give Miranda's dlc. armor to your femshep? obviously you need the dlc. first, but i haven't seen anyone do this yet, and stock Cerberus armor sucks

no it was corrupted before putting it back on my hard drive so i cant move it at all. But the problem is fixed now, i have no clue what caused it but i found an old backup. i made the same changes, and this one didn't end up corrupted.

afaik we can't on console.  The save file doesn't seem to support this.  My understanding is that all that is done on pc by editing the coalesced.ini file--which we can't access on 360.

okk... so i was playing around with tech upgrades when legion started using its shield boost nonstop, so i tuned down the number of tech upgrades and its still doing it. it doesnt even stop to take a shot unless it gets flanked and has no cover. i took away the tech upgrades and its still doing it. the only solution ive found was to go to the shadow brokers base, and remove the power, but i still dont know whats causing it. any help here?

xtaf  I think it is called.  I haven't personally tried it, but c3pu2 uses it iirc, and likes it much better than modio.  Sorry, I don't have a link, but I'm sure it's not hard to find.  In fact, if you look at the 1st post in this forum, I think Javier left a link to the original post and iirc it had some discussion of it.

I believe Javier has a link to hair modding in his google docs, but you can try masseffect2faces also.  N.B. the order they give rgb colours in is the order of the original gibbed editor (I didn't like the order changing when you expanded the +rgba so mine are a different order--be careful with that)

idk if I have tried changing the par/renegade values immediately before a decision, but it certainly does unlock those options.  In fact, that was one of the reasons I first started modding my games.  It was too difficult to get a high enough value on a playthrough without answering all paragon or all renegade---out of character imo.

As a side note.  Some of the faces on the faces database have pc headmorphs.  They will import fine for xbox if you use my version of gibbed.  Also, you may want to collect and save headmorphs you really like, because you can change the headmorph [it]at any time on any save file [/it].  Quite a useful feature sometimes.

Edit:  Practise safe modding---keep backups of your game saves.  :police:     And welcome to modding.  :)

If you haven't resolved this yet, it's caused by setting tech and/or biotic cooldowns to 10 or in other words, no cooldowns. Jacob does behavior with his barrier skill as well. I imagine Grunt does this with fortification also.

Okay I think I may have it, just one last question. How do I change the face code after The original creation screen? Cause I have the new hair and eyes/colour stuff, but I accidently jumped through her face creation scene and her face is too small.

The easiest way is to create a new face via the codes and export then import that headmorph.  iirc there is a web site that discusses the relationship between some of the slider values and headmorph values.  I think I have it bookmarked at home...I'll try to remember to look it up for you.  Edit: c3pu2 posted the link below.  As he says, it can be a pain to do much, but if you only have a little to do, or you just want to play around, it can be worth it.

N.B.  Gibbed reports the facecode that is in the save file, but it does not read it or use it in any way.  So changing it in Gibbed will not change the headmorph.  (sorry)

and i use usbxtaf cause i realy dont like the new modio plus usbxtaf is realy simple to use

Modded a save for my main to change an me1 decision I didnt like, when i loaded it back up into me2 as a new game I kept all my armor and weapons somehow, and my game wont auto save now? the regular save works fine but auto save is dead, anyone else encounter this?

No because Fortification isnt affected by tech or biotic upgrades, but i set them below 10 and it still did it. so i just reset them to 1 and stopped worrying about it.

With the exception of the me2 plot table to which EpicLegion added a bunch of me1 decisions that do take effect immediately according to him.

I have not heard of any autosave issues either.

I should have clarified after I changed the flags I did a new game+ import where I'm now having these issues. Since I'd nnever encountered them before I had hoped someone else would have. I checked the options are still the same, and the only other thing I did was resource editing so I wouldn't have to planet scan lol

I should also clarify that it now seems to be that it is indeed auto saving, it's just flagging the autosave as having been played 2 hours earlier then the save file and the level restart save, which is why it was seeming like it wasnt(loading the level restart or my own save if available when I hit resume). I've since corrected the problem by well eliminating the save file altogether and going back to my backup. Strange though even when I deleted everything but the auto save, then switched missions at the next auto save point it was still listed as 2 hours earlier then the mission restart save.
