Its working fine no problem so far, except one weird thing. It seems when i save in game, i cannot create a new save file, i can only overwrite my previous one. Is that supposed to happen?

I have Gibbed save editor and Modo plus an XBOX USB. I think I figured it all out as far as transfering to and from the USB, using the save editor (although I dont really need to change anything) and injecting the saves into a career with Modo.
Can I move an entire career file from PC to XBOX or just one save file? I can start a new career on the XBOX and inject my PC save into it but if my PC save has completed everything but my XBOX carrer just woke up at Cerberus wont that cause a problem? Is there anyway to continue the story on XBOX from where I left off on PC?

The only critical save to import for a continuation is the last, finished one. Of course, I haven't seen the me3 import yet, but the me2 import lets you select from the "finished" game saves, so I would think me3 will do something similar.Brutus2 wrote...
I played ME1 & ME2 on PC but I want to play ME3 on XBOX. I really don't like the default story choices they stick you with if you don't import a save so I'm trying to get my PC save into my XBOX (I picked up ME2 for XBOX real cheap) so I can import it into ME3.

The pc saves are complete for xbox, but it is best to use the xbox to create the career container file. See this post for a checklist of moving pc to xbox. And this post and the post it links for info about the career container.
hth
Edit: Oh btw, if you don't have all the dlc on xbox that you had on pc, you might have trouble loading the save on xbox. You can remove the dlc dependencies with Gibbed so it will load, but that might remove those choices from your game save also... idk for sure what that part does.

That sounds like your career file got corrupted. The most likely cause of that is forgetting to rehash/resign---although I have also had it happen when the game seems to try to load something from the save that has been changed or deleted. Such as perhaps replacing the save that was last played in the game.istealcandycane wrote...
Can someone help me? For some reason it's not working for meBasically when I look at 'load games' it asks me whether some data should be deleted or something and that's it. It doesn't do anything :/
If rehash/resign doesn't work, then load a save from another career, put your modded career (rehashed/resigned) back on the xbox and then try loading that save.
Note: If the xbox storage viewer shows the game file as corrupted *before* ever trying to load in in me2, you probably forgot to rehash/resign. If it looks good but me2 won't load it, then prob the second case is your problem.
Edit: I have had this second problem before where even putting the "original" unmodded career back on the game didn't want to load it. idk if it keeps some load info in temporary storage or in your GT, but when that happened, loading a different career then putting the problem career back on worked fine.

Unlike me1, me2 puts all the saves for a career into an xbox container file. You need to use Modio or usbxtaf (or possibly others) to extract the game saves from the container. Gibbed only works with the save files, not the container files. See the OP again for the steps to use with Modio.XmajoX wrote...
Guys,I am having a little problem here. It seems that I can't find any save files on my 360, only career files.![]()
Does anyone have the same problem as I?
btw people. Always keep an unmodded copy of your container file with your original saves for backup. You have been warned!

Ok, I think the mwa thing is to do with me giving the datapad to Pitnefor, not the detective on Illium, thats why
thats unticked and the pitnefor one is. (Incidentally, is there any way
of changing that, one of the few Renegade decisions I made in a pure
Paragon game [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/angry.png[/smilie]) but I still dont get what Astrosmash is.

If any of you have played DA you know there is a dude to made a save generator so you dont gota play through all of DA1 again. I was wondering if there was a save generator for ME2 as well?
I know I know gibbed lets you mod me1 flags, and whether or not your pals survived the suicide mission. But need something more in depth.
Also does anyone remember, how many side missions, and main journal quests can you do after the Normandy gets attack but that you can still save all your crew?

However, when I try to load the saves on the XBOX, the one where I did not change anything does not even appear in the list but they one that I made changes to loads fine. However, if I continue playing with that save file, I can't save any further progress. The game appears to save but it does not create a new save file. No matter how much I play or how many times I try to save, the next time I load the game I am back where I started.

What do the missions "Astrosmash" and "mwaelnora" correspond to on the mission rewards tab, and why are they the only ones unticked on my completionist save?

I have no idea tbh. The values for the mission rewards and research tab are taken from the coalesced.ini file, so it might be possible some aren't even used.
@UKillMe.. Not that I've heard, but I'm interested in knowing too. :-)
@Spartas afaik there is no save generator for me2
@Brutus2 Do you have a large career file (~1mb maybe 10 game saves)? Because I have notice problems that sound like that when I get too many saves in the career file. Maybe try a copy of the career file with only the last 4-5 saves in it and the others backed up on your pc. Let us know if that isn't the problem.

I doubt not having the dlc for me2 will have any impact on import into me3. I would think it will look at the game save only.javen2867 wrote...
So I guess this likely won't have any concrete answer until we see the ME3 import tool yet, but I did ME1 and 2 on the PC, both with full DLC, but want to play ME3 on the Xbox, mostly for multiplayer with friends. I followed the steps to convert a save, picked up ME2 for cheap, but I can't actually play the converted save on ME2, on account of dlc discrepancy. I knew this was going to be an issue, I'm just wondering if it's going to be an issue for ME3 as well.
btw you do know you can remove the dlc dependencies to import into me2 if you want to test it, correct? (Of course I would keep the save with dlc for import into me3, to make certain the save has those plot points.)

1. Is it possible to transfer a pc save to xbox save if you don't have an xbox save on your xbox because I don't have a mass effect save folder on my USB.
2. Modio says my save is an invalid package, I just downloaded a save from masseffect2saves.com and transferred it to an xbox save using gibbed.
Thank you!

Create a new career with me2 xbox, save immediately upon awakening. Move that save to an xbox formatted usb. Put your converted pc save into that career.

Sadly I deleted my saves and everything(cause I thought I never went back to xbox)..how wrong I was.
Is there no other way?

That is the best way to get the career file. me2 seems to load *any* game save I place into a career file, not just game saves that match the career. idk if me3 import will have any problems with it, but my guess would be no.
Do you have a friend who can create a career for you and send that career container to you? That would be the easiest I think. At worst, you could rent the game and create a few career files for yourself as different classes/backgrounds.

Do you have a lot of saves? There is a limit to profiles and saves in each
I have a career save for the Miranda Romance, Tali Romance, and Lirara Romance. I think I may have had one or two others that are just empty and never worked on, but I am thinking of deleting those.
Also, in each career there are at least 3-4 seperate saves.

I'm sure we could find a way to get you an xbox container for your saves if required. Personally, I would pick the platform based on which you want to play it on, with consideration for the mp play if you liked that, since it is not cross-platform. I personally found the mp in the demo to be a lot of fun.deleterguy wrote...
It seems I'll have to get the ps3 version then because I do have 2 playthroughs on that.

However I don't think, well I hope that it's not that bad on the PS3.
