I have a career save for the Miranda Romance, Tali Romance, and Lirara Romance. I think I may have had one or two others that are just empty and never worked on, but I am thinking of deleting those.
Also, in each career there are at least 3-4 seperate saves.

Can someone help me? For some reason it's not working for meBasically when I look at 'load games' it asks me whether some data should be deleted or something and that's it. It doesn't do anything :/
Is this a modded save? Does the xbox storage->game browser show the career as corrupted?

For two of the careers I have about 10 saves, I am deleting most of them as I don't need them, I simply had them just in case a decision gave me an outcome I didn't like.
Also something new has happened. When I started playing my modded career, I get a notice that says some of my saves for that career are corrupted, would I like them removed?
I hit yes, but then it doesn't remove any. So I deleted all of them for that career, then created a new save, but I still get that notice.
Thing is I don't notice anything wrong. My game is working completely fine and I can still load the saves even though it says some are corrupted. Any idea what is going on there?
And will it still let me import one of them to ME3 once I beat the game on that save?

On the loading... that is strange. There isn't a problem with dlc is there? Even that shouldn't be the case though.
And as long as you have the saves backed up on your pc, you should be able to delete unecessary ones from the career.

Do I need to buy ME2 (for the pc this time) and insert the save file onto a blank character in that game, or can I just use the program to extract the save file from my xbox, and then store it in a folder and retrieve it later using ME3's retrieve a career function?
If I can, please detail the steps, I really don't want to wipe my xbox 360 career or screw up my new laptop, and sometimes I do stupid things when not given explicit instructions.....
Thanks in advance, everybody who helped post here is awesome, along with the OP of course

But the me2 pc version reads the converted xbox gamesaves fine. I don't recall if I tested the import of a finished game or not.
What exactly are you trying? I assume you converted the xbsav files to pcsav first? Oh, and just for testing the loading of a save on pc, you can prob try the me2 demo. It is limited in some fashion, I don't recall exactly what the limit is... time or content. Edit: I think import was one of the limits.
Of course if you have a friend with me2 pc, you can always send the save to them to try. See if they have a problem with it.
Does me3 pc require you to put the completed me2 saves in a special directory for import to me3?

I've been looking into the ME 3 importer, so far its bugged to crap, trying to avoid anything, and so far the only real person whose had no problems is someone who ironically did use the save editor, where his wife's saves are not showing up at all, which didn't use any sort of edit or glitch.

I'm downloading a save on my pc to transfer to my 360, going through all the steps, but when I load up ME2, the saves don't load (either as a new game plus or the save itself) and ME3 doesn't even recognize that there is a save to load.
Any help would be appreciated.

I tried to use Modio to perhaps inject them into the drive or whatever but Modio won't open them and is telling me that they are incorrect format or something. Any help?

Please keep in mind that A) this is how I do it - there are undoubtedly shortcuts but I didn't take them!
WHAT YOU NEED:
Xbox 360 copy of ME2, Zaeed and Normandy Crash Site installed (and any other major story DLC you might have; if you've obtained minor DLC on the PC that doesn't exist on the 'box like I have e.g. Terminus Armor, it simply won't show up)
Modio
Xbox formatted USB drive
Epic Legion's tool (http://legion.cal24.pl/me2/)
Your PC saves
1) Upload your saves to EL's site and download them as xbsav files
2) Fire up ME2 on Xbox 360 and create a new career with the same name as your PC career (e.g. mine was "Jack" Shepard - dare to be different)
3) Run through and get to the first point you can save - after Shepard wakes up and leaves the infirmary
4) Quit to Xbox home screen, go to settings, and go to Memory
5) Open your HD in the menu, then navigate to games - ME2 - your career save
6) MOVE career save onto your Xbox formatted USB drive (it will not copy)
7) Plug the USB into your computer and fire up Modio; hit "Open Save from Device"
8) Navigate to your career save, pop it open, and go into File Contents
9) Now's where those converted files you downloaded come in - inject those (properly formatted: Save_000x) into the career save file. Detailed instructions for this available at the top of this topic
10) Rehash, resign, save file, eject USB
11) Transfer career save back from USB-->Xbox
12) Open ME2, open career save, and enjoy
Again: I do not promise this will work on ME3, however I replayed the end of my game (gotta save Garrus!) and got through everything fine - the game tracked my completion of the loyalty quests, and gave me credit for saving the Normandy crew. I now have an end-of-game save as per expectations; however, none of the achievements I had (20 enemies scream, recruit specialist etc.) have been awarded on 360 beyond the ones I re-earned through endgame. If ME3 has bonus unlocks that rely on those like ME2 did, I might be SOL.
Anyways, I hope this helps. Looking forward to importing my save into ME3 - if anyone else tries this method please post your results on the ME3 import.
Cheers.

Last night. Took ME2 save (End game and all DLC completed), and edited a few things. I really just want Wrex back.
Created a new save (not replace).
Loaded onto USB
Loaded onto Xbox
Loaded ME2
Loaded edited save game
Flew to Tuchanka
Wrex alive. yay!
Bought ME3 this morning.
Chose to import from ME2
-Nothing there. No career to import.
Loaded ME2 Save back onto USB
Checked ME2 save with the editor. Everything looks fine.
Loaded ME2 save BY ITSELF onto USB - no previous saves
Loaded onto Xbox
Loaded ME2 - LOAD GAME FREEZES XBOX.
I have no ME2 save at all now!
Tried to go back to computer and reload ME2 save onto USB then onto Xbox
I hit "move" and it did it's usual thing.
Loaded up ME2
No option for "Load Game"
I really have no ME2 save at all!
I'm currently loading the "Xbox360" folder (with the Data000x files) that I backed up from my USB drive when I originally copied the the save over to the USB drive. Fingers crossed that I can get my ME2 save back. I really don't want to have to replay ME2 right now, when everyone is playing ME3 and talking about it.
UPDATE: Copying the backup worked. I'm back to square one again. I still would really like to have Wrex back though

Loading headmorphs or making changes in Gibbed *does not* show or generate face codes. If there is a face code in your save file it may or may not be for your current face. This is part of the problem ppl are having with me1 created faces that have never been altered.incinerator950 wrote...
Would I be allowed to change the headmorph in a current run, and will it generate a facial code?

I just got the game today, but haven't even opened it yet, and I dunno when I'll get a chance to look at the importing issues. All I can suggest for ppl is to keep up with this forum on import issues and workarounds.
Edit: For pc -> xbox ppl looking for an xbox container.. give me a bit and I'll put up a link to one you can try. Or better, try to get one from a friend. But Caveat Emptor. I will not assume responsibility for ppl borking their saves.
Okay there is a John_32_Soldier_060312.zip file in my project files you can use for a container. Use at your own risk.

ugh got a bad feeling about this and all my saves are ones I took from my xbox and tweaked. I never got a pc one from a site to edit.
and they show up fine when i try to import a me2 to me2 but me3 is new and appears buggy even on non modded saves

I've done exactly that (several times with different saves) with no luck.
Mass Effect 3 doesn't even think there's a character to import and Mass Effect 2 won't even load the save. It does absolutely nothing besides sit there and look pretty.

Thank you for this guide as this is exactly what I am looking for except I really want my completed PC run of ME2 to transfer over and import nicely to start a new ME3 game on the xbox.
But to get this straight all I have to do is start a brand new ME2 game on the xbox then once this "dummy" save file is created follow your guide and inject my level 30 PC shepard (via converting the pcsav --> xbsav per legion's site) into this save file and transfer this data to my xbox USB drive and move it to the game data on my main xbox HD.
ME3 should see this save file as a completed career run of ME2 with all of my progress from the past two games on PC? Or are you saying I still have to complete ME2 on xbox even with my PC completed run injected into it. If so I guess I'll just have to do the fastest ME2 run on the xbox ever if it means I can keep my shepard that I have scuplted to be mine over the past 2 games on PC
If this works I will love you and everyone who made software to make this possible. I dont have a xbox copy of ME2 atm but will borrow from a friend if this works I will post here

I don't think you need to recomplete the game, your PC end game should probably work OK. Even if you do need to recomplete though, I did it last night from a collector base save and it took all of 30 minutes. The most annoying part was hitting the damn Reaper's eyes with a joystick instead of smooth mouse targeting.

Thats a good Idea I have tons of saves on my PC where I can start back at the collector base end game sequence. But other people posting are getting me worried that It won't work but I'll try anyways.
haha, yeah your right, I'm a PC gamer at the core and the only reason I got ME3 on xbox was because all my friends are console gamers and with the new co-op and multiplayer I'd like to play with them. I cannot stand aiming anytype of shooter with joysticks though, just feels unnatural to me.
