Your directories are just the numbers, right? You are remembering to rehash/resign? Modio loads the career to device without error? Do you see the game save when you look on the xbox storage->usb->games->mass effect 2?imthedan wrote...

Pordis, I did what you said, but it's still not finding it on the 360. Do I do all of this in the explore my device? Do I have to do anything else afterwards? I changed the name to Save_0001.xbsav and I put it in the Saves folder, but it's still not finding it.
Double check the pc->xbox checklist. And if still not working, let us know. Maybe pm me and we can arrange for you to send your container to me to check.
Okay try this. In Modio's 360 explorer select View->options and uncheck the "read game names".imthedan wrote...

No, my directories are exactly like I wrote them out. The folder for Mass Effect 3 and Mass Effect 2 are: ("Mass Effect 3 (numbers)" and when I made the Mass Effect 2 directory, I did the same thing; Mass Effect 2 (numbers)")
I did it like that because that's how it was automatically created when I did a ME3 save. How exactly should the folder structure look?
No, I didn't rehash. I detected my device, but I couldn't find my folder structure there. It only shows the ME3 files, but when I explore the device, it finds it fine.
Also, no I don't see it on my USB drive. The only place I see it is under explore this device under Mobio.

Yes. The saves must be in a container file. Use the empty one I uploaded to the project files John_32_Soldier_060312.zip <- unzip the file first. I couldn't upload the raw file.imthedan wrote...
I think my problem is I don't have a container. I am just putting the Save_0001.xbsav file under the 00000001 folder. Do I have to have some type of 'container folder'? I went back and read the help thread, and it says that, but I don't know what to do to make a container file.

Then File->Drive options-> reload.
Now when you look at the directories under your Profile do you only see the numbers? If the ones you added still have the text, rename them to only the numbers.
It should look something like this: Modio explorer

ppl trying to create the file structure on your usb. The easiest way is to fire up me3 and create a save on the usb device. That will create most of the structure. You will just have to create the me2 directory and the me2 saves directory under it. See the instructions for pc --> xbox

I *think* your pic looks okay... I'm not used to modio (I suspect it's displaying only the numbers for me2 directory because it doesn't yet know the game info)imthedan wrote...

Sorry. I didn't see this post before.
I did this and Mobio is finding the file without a problem now. So, now I just injected my xbox save into the one in your container file. Then I just rehash it and it should be fine?
Does it matter if my save is for a Vanguard? Yours says for Solider.
Thanks. I really appreciate the help.
No. afaik there is no editor for me1. There was a forum thread around someplace iirc about some limited hex editing for credits, but that's all I've ever seen. This editor only works on me2 saves. Sorry.auraofair wrote...
I'm going back through from the beginning of the series so....... 1) can i use gibbed on mass effect saves 2) my mass effect saves are coming up as .sav how do i change them?
Ooooo, I will so take you up on that sometime.imthedan wrote...
Ok, it's working now. I think it was just the container file that I was missing.
Pordis, I love you. I am going to buy you a beer some time.
Hmm. Only through me2 afaik. You have me2 on xbox but me1 save on pc?auraofair wrote...
Ok so no editing but is there a way to bring a PC ME1 save to 360

Okay, let's start with just the transfer process.TheRedHalo wrote...
I've tried 2 different versions of Modio, 3 versions of the save editor, and usbxtafgui_v44. I've tried modifying save files and i've tried creating new ones with the save editor. And every time I try to use the save then in ME 2 it freezes or says the files are corrupted. And when I try to load it with ME 3 it most often just doesn't even see the save or it says it's corrupted. It's just getting very frustrating especially since it seems so simple.
Use Modio 3. It works and although v4 has worked for ppl it might have issues depending on the build you have.
First just try copying your save without modding back to the xbox. Inject it into the career with a different save name.
So if your save is Save_0001.xbsav inject it back without modding as Save_1001.xbsav. Rehash/resign and save to device. Eject usb from pc. See if me2 will accept that save properly. If that doesn't work, we need to investigate your process of transferring to/from xbox.
If that all works, then try a simple mod like a name change, or increase credits. Inject back as a different save and see if it loads up in xbox.
N.B.: If the transfer in test one above doesn't work. Try loading a different career in me2. Then put your test career back on the xbox and try loading it. Sometimes the game seems to try autoloading something in the career file that seems to mess it up if it has changed.

If you don't have a backup of your container, you can use another. See the instructions for pc -> xbox and there is an empty container you can use if necessary in the project files. Note I had to zip it to upload here.radpat wrote...
Hello guys, I'm asking for help, here's my situation:
I had a ME2 save game from Xbox 360 with an unfinished playthrough. After some work I managed to import it to PC etc. I finished my game etc. and decided to get it back to my container file on Xbox. I failed here and file end up being corrupted. I think at least; on the xbox dashboard it ends up being names in chinese characters and squares, while if I try opening it with modio, It says that I can't and that the parameter isn't valid.
Now is there anyway to fix it? And if not, can I get that save game into another career file and will it work to import it to ME3? If not, what to do so that I can import it to ME3?
There shouldn't be any trouble, unless possibly you are using characters not available in the game. I've done this to change names in me2 before and me3 read my name fine on the one import I've done.dawsdgd wrote...
Does anyone know if the change in name of your character using gibbed transfers to mass effect 3?
