If you don't have a backup of your container, you can use another.  See the instructions for pc -> xbox and there is an empty container you can use if necessary in the project files.  Note I had to zip it to upload here.

Thanks for a fast reply much appreciated. While waiting I dug up in this thread and indeed found those 2 and I'm gonna try it. The thing is I don't have ME2 on xbox anymore and I don't have ME3 yet ( not delivered ). So can you confirm that if I use the empty container or a container I have for another walkthrough, I will be able to use that save game file to import it into ME3?

From what I see on the videos, in ME3 you do New Game->Import ME2 Character->A career list then, say I choose the empty career you provided-> Then I should see the save game I would put there.
But can you somehow confirm that ? I could just wait till i get the game but won't be able to sleep with that issue unsolved :P

Others on here have successfully used the container I supplied to import their pc saves into me3 xbox.  When you get me3 use it to create the file structure on your usb.  Then follow the instructions about creating the me2 directories for your me2 game save.  You should be fine.

Edit:  The fast reply was coincidence when I saw it.  But I do try to check frequently.   :-)

Okay I'm lost, when I look at the files on my flashdrive all I have is data0000 to data0008.
No folder no nothing, except the save I moved there. In Modio, all it shows is having partition0 with no files what so ever. Thoughts?

If there's nothing my guess would be that you don't have the directories etc. on you flashdrive, there are many posts about it but basicly you have to do all the folders youself etc. I saw Pordis posting the posts a few times already so he/she probably has them all written up he should tell you where to look so you don't have to check the whole 169 pages.

Oh and you sure there isn't a little + right before the Partition 0? :P

Normally the Career Files containing the .xbsav saves are located at this path:
Partition0-Content (Gamesaves, Profiles, DLC)-<your profile, should be a long number>-454108CE[which is the ME2 folder]-00000001[save folder]. I'm not sure if you can do it all manually so better wait for someone who knows exaclty what to do. Also for the save game you will have indeed to put it into a career container file. If you don't have any, use the one provided on Pordis Project page under downloads.

I posted the link to pc->xbox just above a bit.  The easiest way to get the file structure is to save a game from me3 or me2 (if you have it).  Then if necessary add the directories for me2 by hand in modio.  (Edit:  This way your profile directory is set up correctly.)

The Data... files are what windows sees.  The xbox uses a file format not recognised by windows.  Hence the need for modio or usbxtaf.

Uhm, Ok (didn't read 169 pages of discussion, sorry XD). I still have a problem. I imported my ME2 saves from X360 and extracted them without problems, I loaded "ChapterSave.xbsav" in your editor but:
It doesn't show anything flagged in ME2 plot (and I completed the game succesfully), nor in the weapon research or other tabs, I exported the facemorph and tried to import it in another savegame but it doesn't work, plus even though I convert this save for PC it doesn't show at all when I use ME3 (and I put it on the right path on documents folder). Any suggestion on what to do? I'm probably missing something.

Try loading your highest numbered "Save_0097.xbsav" file.  I'm not sure exactly what is in the chapter save file.

Yeah, my mistake, I had two different careers and extracted the newest by mistake (lol it passed a lot since the last time I played it XD). The save worked, but the facemorph was completely wrong, don't know why, but I spent some time adjusting it :D. Anyway it gives a totally different felling playing at level 30 instead of 1 ^^. Thanks for the support ;)!!

Yet another one with a problem. I already got the profile structure using ME3, now when I try to open it using modio it doesnt detects my profile(i am running in administrator mode) so I tried to do it manually. I created a ME3 folder in my profile (used only numbers in name) and threw in a save i converted to xboxsav using epic legion's site. When i plug it back into xbox it doesnt even detects a ME2 folder.

edit//: Nvm, just found your container. One problem though, because modio cant see my profile I can't save changes made to that container.

Use the instructions in the pc->xbox post and the posts it links.

Let me3 create the profile structure on your usb if needed and use modio to create the me2 folders (one for me2 and one under that for the career file saves).  And grab the empty career file from the project files if you need one.

If needed you can copy your profile ID from the structure me3 created into the profile ID of the me2 container in modio.  Put the game save into this container and put the container into the me2->00000001 game save directory.
rehash/resign and save to usb device.

I tried that, but Modio doesn't show anything. Is there a Modi tutorial or something you can link me to? I am able to open my device in Modio, but beyond that it just says Partition 0 and I can't do anything else.

Thanks by the way, you don't really have a stake in this, but your helping quite a bit.

Hmm you can try the site that hosts it.. not sure if there is a tutorial.  The OP of this thread has a walkthrough with pics for modio 3.

So you have saved a game to the usb from me2 or me3 and you still don't see anything?  Is the a "+" next to partion 0 that lets you open it up?

You have saved a game from within me2 or me3?  Not just moved it there with modio, right?
(Or moved a game save to the usb from the xbox menus.)

In modio v3 it should look something like this pic in the project gallery (it may have the game names next to the numbers if you have the view option set to display them, which is the default.)

I solved it. While it wouldnt save my changes done to the container when it was on usb I extracted the container to desktop and opened it there. Even through modio still wouldn't detect my profile it saved everything when closing the window using the X(It wouldn't while it was on USB).

Not positive I understand, but did you save to device after making changes?  Modio uses a temporary copy (somewhere in your documents iirc) to make changes, and that must be saved to the device afterwards.

Anyway, I'm glad you found a way that works.
