but try usbxtaf i use it so tell me were you dont understand and il tell you what to do

forget that i have a few minut to spare ill tell you how
1. you plug your usb device(meabee i should not specify that but its realy important)
2. you click file then open first usb device 2nd option in the list(in usbxtaf)
3. you should see 2 things cache partition and data partition
4. you go like this data partition/content/e000009bd849858d/then the code for mass effect 2 only have me1 on my usb right now so i dont know what it looks like but try them all if you have many/0000001/then you me2 profile is here its the conteiner for the save
5. drag and drop the file you found in step 4 were ever you want dont forget to back it up
6.you drag it in modio then extract the save file you want to mod
7. you do your thing in gibbed
8. you reinject the file in the container with modio then reash resign realy important oterwise the save gets all ****ed up
9. you go back to usbxtaf now this is realy important you cant drag and drop like you did befor for some reason from hell the save will corupt so you delete the one thats already there then right click the midle of the thing were the save files are then chose inject you chose the modded container
10. click file again then close current drive
and your donne

Anybodies found a way to get money!!! . ROot of all evil. On my 2nd playthrough now and is going to take 3 life long loans to max get all the weapons to lv 7 before I get em again... or lv 10 after I get em.

I did tried running it with XP service and Windows 2000 no luck, from my pov its not the OS or the anti-virus its a program that interfereing with its startup but pinpointing which one is like finding a needle in a haystack. Do you think I should just run it in safe mode with networking think that might help ?

Sorry brother but Im not that familiar with usbxtaf and modding programs, you had me till step 4 cause thats bout as far as Ive got . Let me also point out that I can't for the love of god run Horizon, Modio and Eclipse on my PC all the three just poop out everytime during startup, so modio as u have sated in step 6 is completely outta the question.

Have you tried disabling the UAC on your operating system, and/or running it in compatibility/administrative mode? Another thing you may want to try is closing your internet browser entirely (down to the individual processes). It may help, but I can't promise anything.

For some reason in msconfig I did disable UAC but everytime i run a program the security feature (allow/cancel) still opens up. I did run it in compatibility and no i havent tried shutting down my browser completely.

Hmmm, that's annoying. One thing that may - only may - work is running the program in safe mode. Some of the older programs I have don't work, even with compatibility mode, and I guess that may help? If it doesn't, I'm very sorry, but I just don't have another solution.

got back to me1 and gave me an idea might be able to ex edit it the same way we did back then gonna try it wen i have the time

gibbed kinda made us lazy didnt even think about it until i ad to do it in me1 yesterday

I keep trying to kill Wrex in the file but he won't die. Inside gibbed I have all 4 boxes checked under the two ME1 sections for him to have died. Everything else works fine when I check the file in ME3 but for some reason it keep saying I kept Wrex alive.

never tried it in le fluffie but might work

in usbxtaf on the step that you bloked on in the main window just left click every thing until you see the me2 save then youl understand what i mean usbxtaf is weard wen you look at it for the first time but once you get it its incredybly easy
wen you open the devise what you see is exacly what you would see wen you go in your computer there is a couple folders with more folders inside that also have more folders inside until at some point there is files its exactly the same exept the folder in the xbox memory have ****ed up names that dont make sense the only way to know whats inside is to open it all the way cause the save file themself are properly named so just clic on every thing until you see names you understand then youll be like wow that thing realy is simple

just out of curiosity why do you want to kill wrex

cause seriously is brother is a douche i havent tried it but from what ive seen in my playthrough with wrex alive not having him would realy **** up your mass effect 3 playthrough

I successfully imported an edited ME2 save into ME3 (Xbox360). The ONLY thing I edited was that Wrex is still alive. He was killed in ME1 and I did not want that to be the case in ME3.

When you import a save into ME3, there is a screen with a list of your importable ME2 saves, and when you select any of those saves, a list of major decisions shows up. When I selected my old save game in the list, sure enough, Wrex is dead. When I select my new, edited ME2 save, That entry is gone from the list. Yay!

I start ME3 and eventually get to the Normandy. Wrex's name is not on that memorial wall on the crew deck. (It was definitely on that wall when i imported my original, unedited ME2 save).
I get to the mission (which is the one from the ME3 demo), which features Wrex, and what do I get?

WREAVE!!!  Wrex is dead! I have no Wrex!  

This was very disappointing, but regardless, anybody else run into anything like this? Is there a solution?

It doesn't sound like the same thing to me:

There is nothing that "says" my Wrex is dead. Everything I checked within ME3 said he was alive (what I wanted). It was only when I got to his part of the game, that Wrex was not used. 

-Of course his wording is confusing, so I guess it's arguable what exactly he meant by.  "it keep saying."

Guys I have a few quick questions.

I know this topic is about ME2 saves, but the masseffectsaves.com website (http://www.masseffec...es.com/xbox.php) redirected me to this thread saying that I should look at this thread for "information on how to import saves from BOTH games into Xbox 360"

... so I assume there's some help regarding ME1.

Ultimately, my question is: How do I get ME1 PC save files onto the Xbox 360 so I can play the XBox 360 version of ME1 with it? I can't find an answer to that anywhere.

A few bullet points:

1. I own an XBox 360 Slim, as well as all of the three ME games for 360.
2. I have a ME1 PC save, but it's in a file format called .MassEffectSave. How can I get this save on the Xbox 360 so I can start Mass Effect 1 with it?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ultimately, I just want a Male Shepard who will romance Kaidan, so yes this save is modded. Plus, I actually want to replay ME1 again from the very beginning so I can experience the story. I just want to experience the s/s content from the beginning.

Preferably, I want to start ME1 with this Shepard and play through all three games, instead of starting from ME2.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

modding for mass effect 1 is prety basic on xbox so i dont think you can transfer saves from pc to xbox the only reson we can with me2 is because pordis tweaked the edditor so that it can read and write bote platform if there is a way i dont know of it sry

I dont even remember how to hex edit ME1... I know how to hex edit the money that is easy. Is a rare value and found it. But I know using hex editor messes up your checksums or whatnot. My problem is how to fix that....

How did we fix mE1? how did we hex edited without corrupting it? coz I Know that game has no gibbed editor right?

edit: nvm ME1 was just a hex edit, inject rehash, plug and play. ME3 u can't do that.
hex editting messs up the individual save. I've found talents and money but... comes out corrupt. I need something to fix w/e hex editor messes up which I heard once Darth treton or ...forgot his name, our godfather of ME2 modding. Mention hex editting messes up your checksums or something like that.

hex editting is easy in this game apparently. I've found plenty of values. Squadies talents, my talents, money.... well not plenty of values but all the ones I need.
Anyways yeah without ranting more... how do I fix the hex edit after problem.

yea your right was it dragon age 2 that add a program to fix its checksum or was it mass effect 2 cause i used to ex edit things like weapon training and upgrades in me2 before pordis updated gibbed but what did we do so that the file did not corupt or mabee it just didnt

Da2 we had a program that fixed the checksums, me1 was just plug in and play, me2 after hex we used gibbed to fix sums before rehashing

I seem to recall someone mentioning a rehash tool they used after they modded their me3 to get their eye colour back in this thread.  It was about a week ago iirc, but idk if you want to try to dig through that thread.

Of course if you really want to be adventurous you can begin experimenting with Gibbed's new editor.  I don't know if there are any bugs or even how complete it is.  Last time I looked it seemed things were in place but changes only available on the raw tab.  For the record, I tried a quick change to a few colours and export/import the headmorph.  For me it was corrupted, but it's possible that it was something I did.  Or maybe there is a bug for xbox in the tool, but it does seem to support both pc/xbox formats.  I think the build I used was r29b40.  I didn't spend much time trying to figure it out.  Edit:  It looks like he is well beyond that version now.  Plus there is a link to his twitter if you want to keep up with his progress.  And here is a link to his tools FAQ

Oh, and I don't know if there are any issues with mp.  My guess would be the mp game affects the sp saves but not the other way round---but I don't know that, so ppl might want to be extra careful about possible repercussions from modding.   Just don't come complaining to me if it doesn't work or you don't like the consequences.  ;P
