I'm not sure if this has come up yet, but get this:

I successfully imported an edited ME2 save into ME3 (Xbox360). The ONLY thing I edited was that Wrex is still alive. He was killed in ME1 and I did not want that to be the case in ME3.

When you import a save into ME3, there is a screen with a list of your importable ME2 saves, and when you select any of those saves, a list of major decisions shows up. When I selected my old save game in the list, sure enough, Wrex is dead. When I select my new, edited ME2 save, That entry is gone from the list. Yay!

I start ME3 and eventually get to the Normandy. Wrex's name is not on that memorial wall on the crew deck. (It was definitely on that wall when i imported my original, unedited ME2 save).
I get to the mission (which is the one from the ME3 demo), which features Wrex, and what do I get?

WREAVE!!!  Wrex is dead! I have no Wrex!

This was very disappointing, but regardless, anybody else run into anything like this? Is there a solution?

Could you please give me a detailed step by step as to how you did that (Import ME2 save from the PC im assuming onto the 360). Im trying to accomplish that but Ive been hitting way too many walls .
I have a lvl 26 female infiltrator to import from the PC onto the box so that I can continue the storyline Thali and Thane were the only companions that died in my playthrough. And a 1GB xbox formatted usb.
For some reason I can't run modio, horizon and eclipse. Am however running le fuffie, gibbed editor and usbxtaf.
Ive had ME3 since its release but haven't played it at all coz i wanted to find a way to import my ME2 saves so i could follow that storyline.

I was using all xbox saves. Not PC saves. Regardless here's what I did:
I used Modio 4 Beta
I used the latest version of Gibbed. (9, I think)
On xbox: Moved save from ME2 onto usb drive.
On computer: Opened the USB "device" with Modio 4.
"Extracted" the save game file and saved it out.
Opened the extracted save file with Gibbed.
Made the appropriate changes, in this case, I un-checked all the boxes refereing to Wrex being dead.
Saved the save game file.
Dragged and dropped the edited save file into Modio 4
Rehash and Signed in Modio 4
Took USB drive back to Xbox. Moved save file back onto xbox hard drive.
Booted up ME3. Imported save, and there it was, ready to import.

Also keep in mind, that this eventually failed. ME2 import into ME3 said Wrex was alive. His name was not on the memorial on Normandy, but when it came time in ME3 for Wrex to make his appearance, he wasn't there. It was Wreave instead.

le fluffie works with the container file iirc, right?  Could you show me what the directory structure is on your usb device as seen by usbxtaf (show me where you put your career file)?  I'll try to help.

Edit:  You can put E000xxxxxx where your profile is if you are concerned about showing it.  (idk if it is a problem or not).

Hey guys,

I know that modding the previously unselectable hairstyles in ME2 was an option with gibbed. Can we do that with ME3?

The change to the old "default" hair (I believe it was coded as "sexy") for femshep made me pretty sad, but if I could gibb my file with this hair...well, I'd be happy.

http://masseffect2fa...php?faceID=2477

Thanks for any input!

Read the FAQ on Gibbed's me3tools page (links posted one page back here).  That is the most current info I have.

ugh yes... Although my points are reset at random:
My points are Rest if I die and I have to reload.
When ever there is an autosave... which even when it is turned off there are some scripted I guess.
Whenever I turned off my xbox and come back. It is REALLY annoying. However my squadies points dont reset they are fine no matter what.

Grenades, medigel dont work, after you use it , it goes back to its cap.

Shame. But w/e I wanted money really. Hopefully I can get TIM's eyes back but who knows. Let me know about skills. I am very content with my Sentinel Skills recharge in a second or two at most even with armor on so I likie. Wished however the weight wasn't much of an issue. But I can bare with it.

Just want to say, thank you so much for creating this tool and continuing to help the community. Originally played the first game on PC 6 or so times but never played the second. Got it and 3 for XBOX and thankfully have recreated my playthru's decisions. Everything was just all wrong the default way, completely different to my lil mass effect world. Had some problems getting it working and finally realized I hadn't been saving to device or rehashing so now all is well.

Thanks again,
Westby

I remember back when I was modding on Xbox about a year ago, my game would always freeze around the collectors base or just pretty much part 2 of the game. Anybody ever have this issue and/or fix it. Want to mess around with this stuff again, just don't want to have to mess up saves.

i just found this and tried to do it, so far no luck. i dled all software, plugged in a usb device and had the xbox format it. then moved a ME2 save to the device. plugged in the device to my pc, and tried to find it with modio 3 and modio 4 beta. it cant see the save. grr.

in addition, while the xbox will allow me to move the save, it will not allow me to copy it. odd huh.

any help would be appreciated. i have played an enormous amount of ME 2 and i would love to transfer a cool save to ME3.

thank-you in advance for you help in this matter.

I have got a question:

Is there a way to convert my Mass Effect 1 Savegame from PC to XBOX 360?

The way which is here described is only for Mass Effect 2, right?

A link would help me.

Thanks!

wait wait... can you explain that ??

Using the Talent points on a skill... isn't that what we been doing?.

Well Regarding how many talents points according to level. Well I have all maxed at level 60. and the last skill tree is all the way to rank 4, with 3 tp remaining. so I simply told gibbed I had 11... not 3 plus 11 but a  total of 11. So that when used I would have 0.. zero tp remaining. Still reset after a while. Tried giving myself 14 points. So I would still have "3" extra at lv 60. Nothing.

you just made me laugh there my message was so unclear
for my defence it was late i read it now and its so confused even i dont get it

im impressed you managed to aswer my question anyway

so you cant max all power even at lvl 60 thats disapointing

got an idea later that night in me2 editor you did not need to use tp to max out powers you could do it in the editor itself in the power colection page you can change the rank of the power in your case 4 and write 6 (3and 4 in me2)
might be a way to go around that
wen you say it gets reset does it mean only the last power you maxed or all your powers are back to 0
if its all powers does the tp gets reset to its original state or the moded one(not sure thats clear lets say the normal amount is 60 and you get it to 64 to max every thing wen it reset it goes back to 60 or 64)

Me2 editor, when maxed powers, gives you one of the two evolutions of rank 4. it doesn't help you beyond that and the talent points are already allocated automatically depending on your evolutio in ME2. So there ar eno extra talent points there that you can use to work your way around the issue.

When I mean reset let me further clarify:
Powers all get reset in the same way when you go to the med bay and you "res pec". All you points allocated to any of the powers get reinbursed to your total talent point. So I get back having 183 Points inn total lv 6, all powers to no rank.

Weird thing is, that my squadies remain unchange. No matter if I die or w/e their powers remain untouched even after hex editing, gibbed ....which is weird.

EDit: trying to add both evolutions to a power through gibbed does not work. The reason being or at least my assumption is that gibb takes the power on top before all others. Each power has two evolutions in the menu and the top one is taken in account over the bottom one. So simply putting , 1, 1 on the first evolution means only the top choice will be counting. Bummer but oh well.

For using Horizon:

1) Go into Mass Effect 2 on your Xbox and create a new game, choose as many options as possible that are in the save you are taking from an online source(ie: vanguard, name).
2) Make sure you save to either your flash drive directly or use system settings to move it there from the Xbox menu.

Now this bit doesn't require your flashdrive.

3) Go to the website you are taking the pcsave from and download it.
4) Now open Gibbed and edit your character's name and class, make it the same as the one you created on the Xbox.
5) Now that it is edited, save it in the Save_0010.xbsav format.
6) Now insert your flashdrive into your computer.
7) Open Horizon as an Administrator and make sure your device is selected.
8) On the right there should be a bunch of tabs that say games, profiles, videos, etc. Click the game tab, then Mass Effect 2, and then open the profile for the character you created. This is done by double clicking.
9) Now a little window should pop up with a bunch of gibberish on it, click the tab that says content or something similar. In the list should be something that saves auto save an a number of files that follow the aforementioned format of Save_0000.xbsav .
10) Now with that tab open right click in the white space there and select inject file, then select the desired save. If nothing pops up it should have worked and there may not be obvious changes, if that occurs exit Horizon and  then restart it. Reopen the profile you injected to to confirm it is there. Then rehash/resign.
11) Eject your USB from your computer then reinsert it to your Xbox.
12) You should have it added to your USB, transfer it to your Xbox HDD and start Mass Effect 3, selecting it from the available saves/profiles.

If there are any questions PM me.

Just wanted to post to say THANK YOU for this. I'd spent a couple hours trying to get Modio to work for me with no luck, and your instructions with Horizon worked like a charm.

The me2 saves are in an xbox container owned by you so moving is the only option to get it off the hdd.

If modio is causing problems, try usbxtaf.  c3pu2 likes it a lot better and can prob help you with it if you have problems.

Guys I have a few quick questions.

I know this topic is about ME2 saves, but the masseffectsaves.com website (http://www.masseffec...es.com/xbox.php) redirected me to this thread saying that I should look at this thread for "information on how to import saves from BOTH games into Xbox 360"

... so I assume there's some help regarding ME1.

Ultimately, my question is: How do I get ME1 PC save files onto the Xbox 360 so I can play the XBox 360 version of ME1 with it? I can't find an answer to that anywhere.
<snip>
Preferably, I want to start ME1 with this Shepard and play through all three games, instead of starting from ME2.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

idk of any way to import the pc me1 saves into xbox me1.  The best I'm aware of is importing the pc me2 save into xbox me2.  Sorry.

If you do find something about it, please let me know.

anyone know how to get rid of the male afro hairstyle if you started with it? I've been trying to get rid of it for hours, but no matter what i do the afro stays, texture changes though.
