Thanks for response! I did manage to fix everything. I did have one of the save files that had completed. My problem was the whole 'cloud import problem', which was fixed by transferring from 360 hdd to usb thumb drive; then ME3 had recognized my ME2 import :)
----
Have a new question now though: Getting an error message, in modio, when trying to reinject modded game save on ME2....
"There was an error while saving file- reason: parameter is not valid" (Modio message)
- Does that mean I modded something incorrectly?
- I am supposed to 'inject file into ROOT'? or 'inject into current folder'

Save to device should put it in the correct folder for you.  You want it in the me2->saves folder under your GT.

Here is an example of the directory structure under Modio.  N.B. depending how you have viewing set in modio it might give you names or numbers for the directories.

I've got everything in the correct folders...
My problem is within Modio, when trying to (re)inject a modded save into the career file.

I get this message: "There was an error while saving file- reason: parameter is not valid" (Modio message)
The newly injected save then shows up under 'file contents', but after transferring career save back to 360 and playing the game, I go to load the career save and the newly injected save is not present amoung all the others
(which is not a surprise as modio warned there was an error)

A) Specifically, do you (or anyone) know, what exactly, would trigger modio to show the "There was an error while saving file- reason: parameter is not valid" (Modio message)?

A1)  Did I maybe mod something incorrectly with the gibbed save editor you think, or what?
will that red message appear if I changed something that should not have been changed or went out of the accepted range with something?

thanks in advance for any advice!

BTW @Pordis Shepard are you the one who created/added to gibbed editor I'm currently using (know you don't know what I'm using :P) But could swear I read your name somewhere in a readme file or something..
If so, have you done any similar add-ons to any ME3 editors that add 'Helpers'?
-> Can't find any ME3 Editors that have helpers explaining what a given value means, ect...

Well, you can easily check if it's the game save by trying to inject a different one or an unmodded one.  But I don't think Modio would care about that.

Are you using files from a different location than normal?  Network drive?  Protected directory?

Last resort, you could try d/l modio again, or check your .Net install to see if something has gone awry there.

Gibbed created both me2 and me3 editors.  I made some minor changes to the me2 editor and posted it here.  Vaporizer has been doing all the recent work on the me2 editor here.

If you are interested in the me3 editing you prob want to follow the me3 Gibbed thread.

Sorry if it's been said(I don't feel like reading through 179 pagesImage IPB), but can you get the ME1 N7 armor from the prologue? If so, what's the value for it? Thanks.

I have been wanting to try modding my saves for a while and finally got around to it. I formatted by flash drive and moved my saved game files over to the flash drive but when i plug it into my computer, it shows up as empty. I am able to plug it into my xbox and the files show up on my xbox and I move it back to the hard drive but for some reason it just doesn't show up on the computer.

Can anyone please help me?

How are you trying to look at the files? R u just exploring the falsh drive or r u looking at it on MODIO? Because I think when you just explore it the save files don't show up.

I tried both. First i just tried going to My computer and looking at the flash drive. Next i tried using "explore my device" and "open file from device" using Modio but it didnt find my device. Is this a flash drive problem or perhasp i am not moving my files over correctly? I also did run the program as admin when i opened Modio but no changes

I guess they are having site problems... I'm sure google will find some other uploads of the program, or you can use my old modio v3 copy until they get their site back up.

I don't know of any way on xbox to get different armour than what's available in the game.

You can see the files on the usb device on the xbox? (By going to system->storage->your usb device.)  But modio doesn't even recognise the device?

The usb shouldn't be a prob if it is working on the xbox.  Maybe try d/l modio again, or using usbxtaf to find the files on the usb stick.

They seem to be having trouble getting back up, but their post on fb seems to indicate they will eventually.

See my post immediately above yours for a temp modio v3 link.

Such a sad person. :( I am trying to follow your steps Pordis about changing PC saves into Xbox saves but I seem to be getting stuck on step one. *facepalm* Does it work differently if I am taking a save from masseffectsaves.com?

No the game saves from there should be fine..  Please refresh my memory what error/problem are you having?

Edit:  Things are kinda quiet here and I don't check very often, so feel free to pm me if you like.

I'd be surprised. Unless you jtag it, only save games can be modded.

This type of mod could not gears =(

This mod requires a "Third Party" program to run with called TexMod.

You run ME2 through that program while loading texture packages you've downloaded (I.E the one you've linked)

It's a great program but kills your fps o.O

Although if you Jtag your xbox you could mod the coalesced.ini file, however Jtag'ing your xbox automatically gets you a perma ban...so yea not really worth it. That's why I went for a laptop, more convenient, more powerful, better fps ...and I love it XD

Does anyone know if this is compatible with Ubuntu 11.10? Or better yet, Xubuntu 11.10?

EDIT: I realise I will have to use .wine, but other than that, I'm extremely confused and lost.<_<

You will need an environment where you can run Microsoft .Net3.5.   I haven't played around with wine in ages, but if it can run that environment, you have a chance.   I've only tried it on winXP and later.

Edit:  The source is available for Gibbed and you could prob port it to Java or get it to run under Mono.  The problem would be getting something to fill the role of Modio to extract the container from the FatX partition and extract the game saves from the xbox career container.

I'm having a problem with the gibbed save editor: i downloaded the xbox version and tried opening it but now when i click on it i will get an error message saying, 'Mass effect 2 saved editor has stopped working.' Any idea as to why this would be happening? I even did a system restore to two days ago and it still won't open, and i even shut down my anti virus programs and still nothing.

Quick question, is there going to be an update of the ME2 editor that includes ME1 plot flags such as "Rita's Sister" or "Hostle's Data"?

I have no idea about this things so I have to ask: Can the Gibbed editor delete face codes and how?

A nice instructions of how to do them would be wonderful, (where to go, what to click etc.)

Nevermind, found it!! :D

So I must be a newb too, lost with all the files. I am trying to move my PC ME2 save to my Xbox. I've converted my Save via Legion AND Gibbed into an Xbox save (neither one is working in Modio), they now live on my Desktop...but when I try to use Modio it gives me an error saying (modio could not open that file, invalid package). I have .NET 3.5.1. It's not letting me inject anything onto the USB drive...that's the final step I'm missing is getting it from my PC (.xbsave) to my USB where the Xbox will recognize it.

Any help??? I've also formatted my USB drive for the Xbox already. It IS possible to convert a PC save to Xbox right?
