Was fiddling around with this today for the first time, and it was mentioned several times that you could use weapons that aren't covered by classes. For the life of me however i can't seem to find a guide on how that works (or a detailed post, search functions aren't being particularly useful). Any tips would be appreciated

Also, Vaporizer gets all the credit for the improvements and additions to the editor over the past year, so I'm prob not familiar with the newest features of the editor.
Sorry for being so slow... I've not been keeping tabs on the forum for a bit. :/Dark Trainer wrote...
So I must be a newb too, lost with all the files. I am trying to move my PC ME2 save to my Xbox. I've converted my Save via Legion AND Gibbed into an Xbox save (neither one is working in Modio), they now live on my Desktop...but when I try to use Modio it gives me an error saying (modio could not open that file, invalid package). I have .NET 3.5.1. It's not letting me inject anything onto the USB drive...that's the final step I'm missing is getting it from my PC (.xbsave) to my USB where the Xbox will recognize it.
Any help??? I've also formatted my USB drive for the Xbox already. It IS possible to convert a PC save to Xbox right?
From what you describe it sounds like you are trying to open the game save with Modio. Modio works with the xbox container files (career files). I have a generic container in the project files if you need, otherwise just create a new career and use it for your modded game save.
I posted some instructions for pc->xbox conversion in this post on page 166. Let me know if that isn't sufficient.
There is a file in the project files that has some interesting posts. There should be a few posts about weapons. Basically you need to give yourself weapons training for the weapon of your choice and make sure you have the weapon. If you don't see something to help you let me know.EnvyTB075 wrote...

1.
Can you use the editor to make it so you can romance multiple partners at once?
Jak and Tali for example?
2
Can you get bonus powers if you have not done the loyalty missions?
Can I get dominate before I ever get the ability to choose it otherwise?

I want keep the original and make a copy so that I will have a level 60 with a different face and name.
Basically I'm looking to avoid another 60hrs or so just so I can carry the most assets to the last game.

1. i don't believe you will be able to do that, the way the game is structured you pretty much have to choose one or the other sometime during the game before the end.
2. I have never tried it, but i believe you could if you could figure out the code for it and input it into the Modifier.

No, THAT is hardmodding. A softmod for a singleplayer game won't get anyone on your tail, if it breaks down REMEMBER to take out the hard drive. I have experience modding 360 SP games, so as long as it isn't multiplayer, you are fine.Merlin 47 wrote...

This sounds really great and I really thank the info; but I've got just one question.
Will downloading it void my warranty or get the Microsoft hit squad on my tail? They've been getting pretty hardcore about console modding these days and I don't want to risk adding anything if there is a chance that the next Microsoft patch will delete my account in retribution for my desire to mod my game.
Ya I'm wonderin the same thing:?
Hmmm, if Darth doesn't know I'll check out the sites he listed to see if there's any info on their forums or what not about the threat of drawing the wrath of the Microsoft banhammer because I'd love to take advantage of this; but I'm not willing to risk getting my account canceled just so I can get my hair, clothes, guns, armor, etc., looking the way I'd like.
There has been banhammer threats over modding 360's. In fact, if your machine breaks down, you can't get it repaired by Microsoft if it's modified. Microsoft really doesn't like it when their machines have been modified by outside sources. So yes, hit squads will be sent to your profile if it's ever found out that you modded your machine.

This is what I've done and it results with a Save 0 file that I can't open or load when I start Mass Effect 2.
I downloaded a save file from masseffect2saves and converted it into an xbox save file using the tool that was provided in the first post.
Then I started new mass effect 2 career on xbox, transferred it onto the flash drive, and opened it in modio. I then injected the xbox save file that I downloaded from the website and followed the remaining steps. After finishing everything, I open the game and try to load it but nothing happens. The save file called "save file 0" won't open, load, or anything.
I know I'm missing a step, I just can't figure out what I'm doing wrong.
Please any help would be appreciated.
Thanks a lot

OK so I FINALLY picked up ME3 today, but of course I lost my ME2 saves and decided I would follow this guide to import some PC saves to my 360, but of course I am having some problems. For one, I started a fresh character and saved as soon as I awoke in the lab since I want to inject a PC into my 360 one. I formatted my drive and then moved said ME2 save onto that drive and now have the USB drive connected to my PC. Problem is is that I tried to use Modio and it wont find the game save. In Modio I am going to "open from device" and Modio immediatley finds the drive, but says there are no profiles in it. I opened the drive in explorer and found the hidden 360 folder and all I see in there are about 30 data files. Am I doing something wrong?

for ME3 on PC get you banned?
In terms of modding I am talking about adding some Credits because you want a new adept, but you don't have the patience to do a full walkthrough (for level X weaponry) again (and you already played SP all the way about 10 times already)
I don't intend to cheat in Multiplayer, I am a fair player when it comes to gaming, especially MP, the problem is only that doing a character from scratch and adding all the weapons and upgrades, the frustration when doing this the tenth time IS TOO DAMN HIGH!!

Hey Guys, apologizes for the tardiness of this post.
First and foremost, thank you for the tutorial. Okay so, I
am trying to add powers to my Shepard via Gibbed Save Editor.
( Raw > Player > Powers )
(Ex) Sentinel w/Biotic Charge or Tactical Cloak, and
Singularity; replacing the standard powers such as Throw, Cryo Freeze, and/or
Overload.
My codes are presumably correct as I have downloaded several
Saves of different Character classes who contain the desired abilities and have
copied them to the Shepard’s power list. ( Evolved Powers as well )
When I save the Save via Modio to the USB and start the Save
on the 360 console, the standard powers are, instead of being replaced, just
reset ( minus the compensation of those respective talent points ). It makes me
believe that I am doing something right – but not perfect.
I have been reading
and browsing for weeks now on this site as well as others in search of an applicable
solution or similar issue. However the threads most identical to this issue are
commonly PC related with PC compatible solutions. When an X-box related post
does come up, it seems to be ignored or given the ‘idk’.<_<
What must I do to successfully enable these abilities?
I am willing to upload my Shepard Save so that another may assist,
if necessary.
