If you mean his loyalty mission, you'll have to talk to him as usual, but note, that the IFF and Legion's loyalty mission, they don't care when you do them, if you do any off them, the timer starts and soon after, your crew gets snatched and then they go milkshake 1 by 1 until you launch the suicide mission.

No, that will make him selectable when you pick your squad for missions and he will be on the ship after the firt time you go on a mission with him in the squad, it won't make the IFF mission appear, that mission might appear if you tick Legion is Revealed instead.

UPDATE (4/26): It's a been a long time since I've updated this -- the replies past the 2nd post may be outdated. However, modding the save file for this is now much easier to do (thanks to IoCaster's help). Also, I don't have an XBox, but now that save files are moddable on the console this MAY be possible on both platforms.

For this question I'm leaving all things relating to Legion aside.
also, when I was trying to get Miranda in her black outfit at the start of the game one of the things I tried was checking Miranda in alternate appearance and Miranda in 1st appearance and that opened the whole galaxy map as well - don't know why. It also enabled the switching of her outfits without her being loyal.

As far as screwing up the hard drive the worst you can normally do is screw up a single save, unless you tell xport 360 to "restore image from file" and ignore all the warnings it gives you. I got in a hurry and did this thinking I was being clever and when I hooked my 360 HDD back up to the 360 all my profiles were gone and I couldn't access any of my saves or files. I nearly had a heart attack; but thankfully the .pdf that came with Xport360 also told me how to fix the problem my ****** had created.
Thanks, it worked! Apparently I forgot to restart the pc after changing UAC settings.
I too noticed the "restore image" option and was fortunate enough not to fiddle with it until I learned about the lost saves/profiles problem on some forum online. Glad it wasn't permanent in your case.

I want to complete the Collector Ship and Reaper IFF missions as soon as I start disc 2, then prolong the crew getting abducted. Probably not, but would like to know if it's possible, or if it could be possible in the future.

ive made all my changes in Gibbed but in dont undersand what to do when it comes to deleting the original save in Xtaf and injecting the modded save...when i do it and plug my usb into my xbox it just says "corrupted" save, am i missing somthing? any help would be much appreciated!!

Glad I could help. Just make sure to turn the UAC back to normal when you're done modding so you don't start getting viruses and adware and what not.
As for the restore image issue if anyone else was as dumb as I was you can still fix it since the program keeps a backup copy of the old image file your replaced in the Xport360's temp folder (the PDF tells you where it is) so you can just choose to restore image from the proper image file and it fixes the problem.

I got hung up there as well at first. Your original save that you extracted from your usb should still be showing in the xtaf editor - highlight it and hit delete. Then hit inject and a window should open up. Find your new save file which should be on your desktop if you followed the instructions exactly and put that in xtaf. Then remove the USB and put it in the xbox. That's how I've been doing it. If that doesn't work for you than I'm sure some of the more experienced people here can figure out what you're doing wrong.

Hang on a second, using Paint to determine what color you want on something isn't reliable at all! 255 in red and green makes yellow, but a 1 in the R and G fields in the GSE makes a real green color, with a bit of yellow in it! For hair, at least. How does that work?
