Okay, I'm having an odd issue with Gibbed's editor. It seems that regardless whether "[Noveria] Rachni Queen released" is checked in the Mass Effect 1 flags menu, I still encounter the Rachni representative on Illium. And before anyone asks, yes I'm importing my Shepards into new careers so any ME1 flag changes should be taking effect (and oddly enough, one of the tweaked Shepards is an actual import from ME1 who killed the queen on Noveria... I didn't even change his flag, and yet the Rachni are apparently alive and well in his playthrough).

Anyone else have a similar problem?

UPDATE: Also, even though "Met Conrad Verner" and "Intimidated him" are checked and "Got him killed" is unchecked, Conrad is still nowhere to be found at the Eternity bar on Illium.

OK, back to yesterday's thread about entering ammo. I entered 999999 for Ammo Total and -999999 for Ammo Count Used on my Revenant (which I added as a weapon) and my Cryo Gun (heavy Weapon), Shotgun and Hand Cannon. Loaded game, had like 2000378 for the Cryo Gun, 2000037 for the Revenant, 2000056 for the Shotgun and 5 (yes, 5) for the Hand Cannon. Went into battle, picked up some rounds an enemy dropped, and all of a sudden I had 1000005 for the Hand Cannon, and around 1000069 for each of the other weapons. So entering a large positive number for Ammo Total and a large negative number for all weapons (not just heavy weapons) in the Ammo Count Used field seems to yield the desired results, even if they're a little unstable until you pick up some ammo.

When you change the things the import from ME1 it doesn't work on that current playthrough. You have to change it on a save where you beat the game and then start a new game and import that same ME2 character and the changes will take effect.

Piebaker---that's not the issue. "incomplete" hair changes work just fine (some of them can't be complete as we haven't found all the parts yet)

It's got to be something else, something to do with saving in gibbed/rehashing itself etc.

any ideas? because all i did was change the hair, there literally has been no other modifications to it

What flags cause the game to skip the Horizon stage?

Yes, thank you. I'm aware of that. Hence why I put:

"And before anyone asks, yes I'm importing my Shepards into new careers so any ME1 flag changes should be taking effect (and oddly enough, one of the tweaked Shepards is an actual import from ME1 who killed the queen on Noveria... I didn't even change his flag, and yet the Rachni are apparently alive and well in his playthrough)."

I'm testing different variables at the moment to see if I can determine what values cause this glitch. I'll report back what I find.

I think if you mess with any of the ME2 flags involving your party members AT ALL, that meens even their outfits, then Horizon doesn't trigger. Instead, when you look at the galaxy map, you have everybody's recruitment planets are labeled, and the main story missions, Reaper IFF and Suicide Mission.

They only reason I could think of that the costumes would screw with this is because they're tied to your crew's loyalty.

Thanks. I'll uncheck those ME2 flags on the next play through. Apparently it also cancels the collector ship mission.

Okay, despite repeated attempts I cannot get the Rachni Queen representative to reappear on Illium without "Rachni Queen released" selected, so I'm guessing that was just a random glitch (even loading an earlier save from the same career and jumping ahead to Illium showed the representative nowhere to be found... so go figure).

However, it appears that Conrad Verner will ONLY appear on Illium if BOTH "Intimidated him" AND "Charmed him" are selected. If only "Intimidated him" and "Met Conrad Verner" are selected, the game appears to act as though Conrad were killed in ME1 (even though in all cases "Got him killed" is unchecked).

Question, I also wanted the conrad and queen quests to be in this new game

I opened a me2 completion. I edited all of the me1 settings and I checked both of those options you mentioned about conrad. Now I saved it and started a new plus game and imported the edited save so that i finally can get some more me1 gameplay carried into me2

yet, i just opened the new game that is just a few minutes old and the intimidate is unchecked. Should I leave it alone or hard set it ?

When it imported it def reset one of the flags and I just double checked the original and sure enough both are 'on'

i'd hate to play all the way to illium to see that nothing is 'triggered'

and if I do that can I simple edit this adn set the flags and go to illium and conrad appear ?

and the queen rep too ?

Well, in my experience, unless both "Intimidate" and "Charm" are checked then Conrad isn't going to appear on Illium and your only solution would be to recheck those flags and import into a new career again so they carry over.

However, if you want to check quick to be sure, you can play until you get the Normandy SR-2 (about 15 minutes in) and then use the Miranda alt. appearance trick to open Illium immediately and see for yourself whether he's there.

Just open the Henchmen flag tab and check Miranda's "Loyal" box and her "Alternate Appearance" box. When you get back in-game, the entire galaxy map should be open to you, Illium included. That's how I tested out several different ME1 flag settings without having to spend 5 hours playing through Horizon to see the results...

i will do that now and thanks for the shortcut as that's a long ways in

again, my save has them checked and after import only one is checked. I wonder if there is a chance I used a different save. I don't think I did but I do want that to be included as it might be in me3

Does using the Miranda "alternate appearance" trick to recruit characters early cause any problems? If I go to recruit Tali first, will I get the mission to recruit her after Horizon and not be able to complete it, for example?

Is it even possible to recruit disc 2 characters early? lol

Some people talked about using parts of other character's faces before...and I swear I've seen Ashley's eyebrows used on female Shepards...so, out of curiosity, would it be possible to use stuff from the Vanderloo Shepard on a custom male Shepard?

Amanada? You mean Miranda? Kind of confused here. I'm assuming you put Miranda in her alternate outfit to ulock Illium early to test the effects of the changed checkmarks for Conrad. The easiest way would ideally be to just recover/reload a save prior to modding since you hopefully didn't do any quests in between making the change for testing and needing to undo it. The other way involves placing Jacob in his alternate outfit and then removing Miranda's alternate appearence......it SHOULD work but beware it is not something I tested myself and am only giving second hand knowledge based on this thread: http://social.biowar...5/index/1585456

Yea I meant Miranda but didn't bother to fix the runaway fingers typo

I did what you mentioned too and basically it's like I never went there to test.

Thanks for the help!

That's a PC mod. It won't work for the 360 version.
