im having the same problem as jkoopman. only when i click on the file i get this message (!   Cannot execute "C:\\\\DOCUME~1\\\\Rickyy\\\\LOCALS~1\\\\Temp\\\\Rar$EX00.962\\\\USBXTAFGUI_v17.exe"). i have winrar. and i also have windows xp proffesional. i know nothing about what .net drivers are or id update them considering i just got myneighbor to fix our computer and put the new os on it.  i really have no clue what to do and ive downloaded every single version of the usb xplorer i could find on many sites. so please help.

Go to www.windowsupdate.com and look under Optional Software Updates for the .NET updates.

not to sound negative. i don't think there is anything illegal about modifying save files BUT i also doubt we'd ever get an official green light from either MS or BW.

Of course not, its against Xbox LIVE Terms of Use after all.

EDIT: I did ask and the Xbox team did answer: "Those found engaging in this behavior will be actioned."

Question: If I decide to mod my "game complete" lvl.30 male vanguard ME2 save (in wich I imported my lvl.60 male solider ME1 save), can I change that to lvl.30 female adept?

I know you can then import that modded save into a new playthrough, I'm just curious about changing your gender and class. I'm asking this because I only have a lvl.60 male solider ME1 save, and I really don't feel like going through ME1 again so that I can have a femShep save to import. Basicly I just want a new femShep playthrough with all the ME1 bonuses and decisions I have with my import maleShep.

Yes, but when you change your class, unless you retrained to free up the talent points you spent, they will be lost, when you lose the vanguard skills the points in them go too. so, remember to edit the free talents points as well.

I strongly suggest for those who are worried about this being a bannable offense on XBL make an offline 'dummy' profile for the sole purpose of modding the game.

Hey, could you just take the armor values from the pc modders and add them into gibbed to mod for the 360 version? (can't try right now at the moment)

That's possible too? Awesome.

A question though. I know you can't mess with the squad mates before completing Freedom's Progress. Does that apply to alternative hair too? Or can you savely give your Shepard another look and much more credits and resources when modding a save file made just after waking up in the Cerberus facility?

Does this mean we can mod other games too? Like Fallout 3, Oblivion and DA:O?

Hmm,,...probably provided someone makes a tool for it.

All it really does is edit existing values within the stock game. LIVE can't even have a way to track these values and even if it did, it still isn't against the Terms of Use of Microsoft and LIVE

I never modded Fallout 3 myself but a lot of crazy things have been done with that game......like taking a PC save file and coverted it to a 360 save file. I was well past playing the game when I found this so I never really looked into it that much.

You can change your class at any time BUT if you already took the bonus weapon class from the collectr ship you will loose it and NOT be able to select again in future imports upon importing the character. So I recommend creating a new adept with the ME1 save import and then mod what you want there.

It is possible to change your gender BUT when you change gender you need to have a face of the oposite gender ready to import on your shepard. With that said I suggest you create a brand new shepard of the opposite gender, open the save in the save editor and under the toolbox tab hit the export button. Now select an easy to remember place to save the exported apprearence. Now open the save of the shepard whose gender you want to change in the save editor, place/remove a checkmark in the box next to the words "is female" go to the Toolbox tab and hit Import. Find the exported appearence you saved earlier and open it. Follow the steps 8 through 13 normally from here.

Is there any chance that modding your ME2 Gamesave could cause problems when it comes time to import that save to ME3?

I highly doubt it. Importing ME2 saves in NG+ works perfectly fine and all the info about weapons, armor and ammo and so on is likely to be discarded by ME3 which should make it even less problematic. The only thing that I think ***MIGHT*** cause problems are the hair mods if ME3 doesn't know how to read them but it's easy to just change the hair back or import a normal face with normal hair on your shepard in ME2 through the save editor and that should make it allright.

Thnx a lot man. I'll try it out and see how it goes. :)

is there a way to use this to get infinite ammo? or do you just edit unused ammo to like 999999 or something?

No infinite ammo, as far as I understand it, you can just give yourself a bunch of ammo.

Question. When I try to put the files for the Gibbed editor into a folder on my desktop, I get an error message: File header is damaged. Abort Operation?

If I click no, then I get an "item not found" message.

What version of windows are you using and what link did you use to download the Gibbed Editor?

This is a good link if you haven't already used it

Thanks, that link worked. It wasn't working when I first tried to use it, so I used to individual download for each program.

Hey I got this to work using the USB key feature just a couple things.

Make sure you use the "Safely Remove Hardware" or the next time you plug the key into the 360 it might say the stick is unformatted and you will lose everything on there.

Also I did this and ME2 can no longer manage the saves in the character I messed around with. It appears that the file is read-only. Autosave doesn't even overwrite the old autosave file making the thing useless. Any suggestions?

Strange, I've never encounted any of these issues. Perhaps you tinkered too much in the Gibbed Save Editor.

I've only messed with it to get credits, resources, TIM's eyes, get my soldier to have the Widow, Revenant, and Claymore, and used it to trick the game into thinking my new ME2 save had played ME1 as a paragon

Can you replace textures? The textures mods are sweet and i'd like to change some stuff around.
