Is it possible to change the colors in the black parts of Shepard's armor in Gibbed? I saw it somewhere but I suspect it was on the PC, however Gibbed does have all the armor stuff there though.
I haven't tried it, but maybe change Tint #3....just make a backup because it may corrupt your save.

I always make backups don't worry. Isn't tint #3 the pattern color or is the pattern thing listed somewhere else? I can't remember.

That's interesting because when I looked for beard color for one of my Shepards it was also set to 0 and his hair and beard color are black. I wonder if it's the same, I'll have to try tomorrow to see if that's what it is.

Copied from the OP:
Modding weapons and ammo:
Go to the "raw" tab. Look for "Squad" and bellow it you'll see "Player" with a + sign next to it. Click on that + sign and scroll down to find "Weapons". Click on weapons and a small, easy to miss square with three dots in it will appear to the right of "Weapons", click on it. In there you can change the ammo of your weapons by changing the number BUT it is extremely important to remember that the heavy weapon is different. For the heavy weapon you need to put a negative number in the "Ammo Used Count"
Now to change your weapon you need to know what the weapon is called in the save editor and change the name in 2 different fields: under the weapon menu and in the "Loadout" menu.
The three special weapons are called(In the WEAPONS menu):
Reverant LMG = SFXWeapon_MachineGun
Krogan Shotgun = SFXWeapon_FlakGun
Widow SR = SFXWeapon_MassCannon
And in the Loadout menu they are called:
SFXGameContent_Inventory.SFXWeapon_MachineGun
SFXGameContent_Inventory.SFXWeapon_FlakGun
SFXGameContent_Inventory.SFXWeapon_MassCannon
WARNING: the spelling is extremely sensitive so spell those EXACTLY as above or you can corrupt your save. Also note that the weapons are NOT added to your ship's inventory and when you pick up another weapon you need to edit your save again....you cannot escape this. If you do not pick up the weapons during missions they will eventually after a while be forced in your inventory....at least some of them so pick up the weapons you find during missions and simply edit the save back to the special weapons. Additionally during the suicide mission's start each of the 8 panels you activate to aid the member you sent in the ventilation shaft will reset all ammo counts back to what they should be(all except the heavy weapon) so save your game whenever you can afterward and edit your ammo again. Also Kasumi's mission will also reset all your ammo.
WARNING 2: You can only give yourself special weapons IF your Shepard is trained in the weapon class...so you need to be trained in using assault rifles to be able to give yourself the Reverant LMG for example.

You do NOT need to be trained in a weapon to give yourself a weapon in that class. This is FALSE
You CAN give yourself a weapon, but that new weapons training MUST override an existing weapons training. For example. I can give my engineer the Revenant and the Widow, and in the Loadout menu just type their respective codes OVER the existing codes for my Engineer's Heavy Pistol and SMG

Anyone know what's wrong with Modio? When I go to their main website it says:
"We are having a big problem with our servers. The site is currently down."
....and the online features of Modio don't work. Modding ME2 still works fine as you don't need the online features nor do you have to log in but does anyone know what's up with it?
The main site is down for some reason, the last few days I kept getting errors trying to go to the site, now when I try it says site problems. I think I got on the site maybe 2-3 times in the last 3 days but it never lasted, I would go to next page of a thread and get an error, maybe they got hacked or something?

Gametuts got hit. There was a full blown DDOS war between some of the bigger modding sites earlier this month. They should be up by now. Se7ensins horizon360 and gametuts all got hit if I remember correctly.

From the pictures it looks like you're doing it right, not exactly sure what the problem could be.jpchipy2005 wrote...
@ChuckNorris18 that was exactly my reference where i got all the info. but it still doesnt work. did anyone see the pictures that i uploaded? maybe there u can see whats going wrong.
thanks!
Maybe check the spelling/punctuation, or check to see if there is a space hidden at the end of the name.
Doesn't look like you're switching weapons, but did you do anything to the loadout menu?
Are you doing anything on the ship or changing anything on the loadout screen in-game?
Other than that, I don't really know what it could be, it should be working from what the pictures show, the amounts are in the right place....wierd.

Nope they're still down. I know a lot of people didn't like their $10 fee for VIP membership but damn this is getting out of hand. It looks like they got caught with their pants down and weren't prepared for whatever thy got hit with....hopefully they can figure somehting out.

I've tried lots of different values for tint#3 and never noticed any in game change on anything. I don't think there is anything you can do with armor colors in this version of Gibbed - too bad.

I saw the black part of the armor in red on a picture. It must have been modded on the PC, I tried tint #3 as well and nothing happened.

Or point me to a guide that tells me where each line of code goes.

Yeah, I've seen some pretty nice stuff from PC mods with the armor colors - stuff that appears to be glowing, all kinds of different colors and as you pointed out changing the black undercolor to name just a few. It's too bad we can't get at that.

1)
Go to Player Appearance-->Morph Head-->Hair Mesh
In the Hair Mesh Field, input "BIOG_HMM_HIR_PRO_R.Cuban.HMM_HAT_Cub_MDL" without quotes.
2)
Under Texture Parameters, I added
Name:
HAIR_Diff
Value:
BIOG_HMM_HIR_PRO_R.Cuban.HMM_HAT_Cub_Diff
Name:
HAIR_Norm
Value:
BIOG_HMM_HIR_PRO_R.Cuban.HMM_HAT_Cub_Norm
Note that PRO_R only applies to males.

Which hats are these ones? I'd like to use one of them on one of my characters.

Hats and accessories will always come out this way on the Xbox 360 version because not all of the texture information for them is stored in the save file. There's no way around this.

I have edited my mass effect 2 save file with no complications (using Modio etc.) and it all works perfectly on my Xbox (9999999 element zero ftw), however now I'm trying to edit my male Shep's hair, and followed the steps shown on post 1 using Gibbed save editor. Basically my dude has a fro' and I'm trying to replace it with Kaiden's hair.
So in the hair mesh bit I put in the code: BIOG_HMM_HIR_PRO.Kaiden.HMM_HIR_Kai_MDL
But when I load it on the xbox it's still the same default afro.
Am I doing something wrong?
Also - Can the Gibbed or Modio editors be used on Mass Effect 1 save files?
