Just a question I have been wondering for a long time. I am gonna try and change the gender of the character but what voice will the character have? Will she still have the male sheppards voice? If not how will the romance scenes work with miranda etc when sheppard speaks? I mean its not like there are any female to female voice files in the game. Am I right?

Not sure about the voice, but I think that the romance will stay the same (Miranda etc if your Shep was male), make sure you have a face though if you're switching or it will screw up.

Yeah, I wanted to play as Tali. I lol'd seeing that male voice coming out her body.

Was just wondering if it was possible.

You can do it on PC; but no one knows a way to do it on 360 yet.  It involves editing some of the game's data files (copying the models and texture files for Tali and renaming the copy you made so that you can put it into the partition the game uses to store Shepard's armor models), while the 360 save editor only allows you to edit the save files.

It may be possible in the future; but right now there's no way.

I had a theory about tricking the game by creating a file which the 360 recognizes as DLC (like the DLC for the Cerberus armor and shotgun, etc.) since those files aren't written onto the disk.  In theory some of the tools the PC modders use might be able to do it, for example I could try making a copy of the texture and model for Tali and edit it so that the game would recognize it as an alternate armor for Shepard, then put that data into a file that the game would recognize as DLC.

But I abandoned the concept because I realized that if I figured out how to do it, it would also allow me to use the same basic process to pirate paid DLC and that's the sort of thing that Microsoft and EA would understandably get pissed about.

Hey, I appreciate your help and advice. Sorry for the late response.

I'm having an issue with modding and freezing. I've noticed that whenever my save file reaches a size of 1 MB the game freezes and I won't be able to start it up again until I remove the save file from my hard drive. Rehashing and Resigning doesn't seem to solve this issue. Does anyone know of a possible fix? I know the obvious solution would be to not make that many saves but if I can solve this issue I'd like to.

EDIT: My problem is exactly the same as the problem ImplodingGoat and a few others have had earlier in this thread. I've gotten this freeze/corrupted issue on two different modded careers. The thing is I've only modded credits and elements so I don't think the actual modding is causing this problem. Most of the people that have reported this problem all mentioned that they completed a good portion of the game, so it's more than possible for them to have 1 MB worth of save files in their careers. So has anyone who's modded been able to make it to 1 MB without this freezing issue?

Guys, just wanted to give a headsup - the modio file included in the archived modding tools contains a trojan virus in the Modio Launch.exe My pc norton Antivirus just detected it and removed it. Just to give you all a heads up before you download it. My old comp was destroyed by a virus. I just got a new one, so modio and me2 modding for the 360 isnt really worth the risk to me.

Grab Modio from Gametuts, that's the site that made it, I got it from there months ago and haven't had any problems. This game is quite fun to mod, even if we can't do nearly what pc users can, there are still some fun options as far as save modding goes.

I got Modio from the RAR archive that's linked in the first post. So i'm guessing that anyone else who downloaded that particular one will have the same thing - a trojan. Just giving a heads up so people won't get their systems wrecked. I just got back from that, it's not fun.

Hmm im now interested in the accessories i've seen some people add to their shepard e.g. the Alliance berret and Garrus's visor some other stuff to. They said it was done via Gibbed but i haven't found any tutorials so far:\\

The problem with the berets is that the textures aren't stored in the save file, so you can get the mesh to work but there's no texture, it's just pure white, like when you try to use Ashley's hair. Having the same problem with DA trying to turn my dog into Witherfang, the model is there but no textures. Posted Image

Thanks so much for all the guides on this thread.

No more scanning or grinding out for credits. Also, yay to getting Legion early.

Just one quick question, is there a way to equip your squadmates with other weapons? ie: Give Miranda an AR?

Glad you had no issues :)

As for Miranda, yes it's totally possible, but you have to overwrite one of her existing weapons to do it

The only problem is that is that the AR doesn't rest on her back... it floats there.  If you don't mind the aesthetic awckwardness... then go for it.

I need some help.... I'm trying to get Ashley's hairstyle onto my shepard and I use this place for the codes:

http://www.masseffec...torial=saveEdit

but every time I try it and then load up the game the hairstyle is there, but it's white! :(

I've tried changing the colors under the vector parameters but it was still this like solid looking white.

Help would be appreciated! :D

The textures for Ash's hair aren't in the saved game editor - there's nothing you can do to fix the white.

You do have access to all the regular hairstyles (obviously) as well as sexy, cyberbabe, mom and the mohawk.

Just playing around with a hex editor, kinda confusing, a lot easier right at the beginning of the game, but you can do some cool stuff like changing weapon tiers, effects etc. The journeys dlc are great because they have 5 effects for the belt and necklace and 4 for the helm. Posted Image

I downloaded Modio from the link in this thread aswell and i didn't get any viruses.  You sure it didn't come from something else you downloaded?

Just been looking into gibbed with more detail, i don't know if this has been brought up before but i've only just noticed it. There is a box under Player>Appearance called Casual ID, now is that possible to put mirandas loyalty outfit ID in there? If so how do you find out the ID's? :P

It won't work you can only change casual outfits you already have access to with that field.

As JukeFrog pointed out earlier, I've also been having issues with game freezing and not loading, after my save files reach 1 mb, has anyone figured a way around this? Aside from decreasing number of saves.
