Still that gives me an idea... that could really make Insanity fun instead of just an endurance test.... if theyt ake me out in 8 shots... I should be able to do the same.... hmmmmmmm

Hey everyone, havent posted yet (at least i dont think, its been a long time) but i've been using this page as a reference since page 10, ive read up to 30 in the past hour and dont have time to read anymore, but wanted to add this, if you mod the level of your powers through gibbeds editor, say I have inferno rounds and set them to level 10, it actually does make a difference ingame. Im taking down collectors in 6 shots in insanity mode.
Like i said, I dont know if this has been covered (only gotten through 30 pages so far) but I thought i'd add it to the list.
Just to be clear, you are setting the "current rank" field in the expanded powers collection area where it says
class Name
Current Rank
Name
Wheel display index.
to a number higher than 4? Are you changing just the "evolved" field of the power or are you changing the other as well? I'm pretty sure that hasn't been covered before in this thread. Are you noticing a difference in all the powers or just the ammo powers? If this is true that's a good find.

yes im setting the current rank to 10, and im just setting the evolved to 10, im not touching the other ones. 100 doesnt seem to do anything, it feels like when i have it set to 10. But heres the thing, it feels like the power of the shot cuts in and out, against harbinger with the incisor sniper rifle a shot (3 bullets) sometimes takes his barrier down halfway, but then ill shoot a new harbinger in the same spot and it does very little damage for 1 or 2 trigger pulls then it starts doing mega damage. Im gonna have to try and set the evolved and regular ammo powers to 10 and see what happens.
Let us know what you find out.

Now I understand why PC gamers love modding so much. It's almost like a drug, once you start you get hooked on it lol.

you fix what you think is wrong, and you make the experienced more personalized... some call it cheating.... others call it being resourceful

I know in the future the difference between console and PC will be minimal.

well since i have no access to a console cause im on a 360, i cant tell if there is any actual extra damage being done, but i can say this, it sure as hell feels like theres more damage being done. maybe i should get the pc version and see if i can pull up the stats.

I use this site to get the rough idea of the color ratios and then just tweak from there. Scroll down a bit and you'll see the sliders.

I actually managed to get it done earlier when I found a BGR generator.
That is a really useful link though. Definitely should be on the first page.

This was discussed a while back but at the time it wasn't something I was really following - but did we ever figure out how mix the squadmates powers? Like giving Miranda pull, or Kasumi warp.
Not sure that's possible, every time I've changed anything but bonus powers my save is corrupted, bonus powers have been the only thing I've been able to add without corrupting the save, although I haven't tried adding a bonus power to a squadmate yet.

dude i want concussive shot on a vanguard, now that would be friggin awesome!Perhaps there's a step we are missing when it comes to adding regular powers, maybe the power is worded differently or something, or maybe it ties into our class name somehow. I would love to be able to pick exactly which powers I want for my shep, no matter the class that uses them. I'd give my Vanguard, tech armor, singularity,pull/push field, warp ammo, and slam, and maybe cryo ammo because it's fun. Sadly though every time I've tried to add a class specific power like tech shiekd, or a regular one like push/pull it doesn't work.
I tried, everything I can think of... Zaeed's disruptor coding, is different from normal soldier coding.
Its weird....
Soldier powers, differe from Zaeeds, and jacobs.
Tried, putting in their, codes, rewording them.... mergin both of the sentences in weird ways....damn Bio/EA.
ME3 has to have a cutstom class build.... or an ME1 system of "add X power to your new career"
On top of redoing the cooldown system.
sigh sentinel with ammo powers..... that is so perfect... so perfect., oh and assault rifles instead of spitball rifles

True, they ****(&^(ed it up with the universal cooldown completely.
But I rather like having just 4-5 levels...maybe 6.
Instead of 12-13... because the gradual increase are just so.... it doesn't show I guess... for me.
Now.... when it comes to cooldowns... man ME1 is awesome.
Like I suggested elsewhere, have tech tree cooldowns, and penalties for continous use.
If I use singularity it should not have anything to do with me throwing a nice incinirate into the mix lol. Just an example, singularity is just for adepts... but...BUT, they should bring back the
"starting new career" "select extra skill". Like in ME1.
but in ME3, they should go a step further, and add, 1 of each.
Starting new career:
Select extra powers:
Select extra biotic power
-
-
-
-
AFterwards, select, extra tech power
-
-
-
Then, select 2 extra ammo powers
-
-
Finally, select extra weapon specialization.
Or they could just make it, so that when we pass the game, with ALL classes, in hardcore, that we get the nice "Beast effect" achievement
yes no?...

I was arguing for this all the way back to ME1 so I think you've got a great point. I don't get why game developers try to control the options in their games so much. The reward for any complete insanity playthru should be "create your own class" meaning you get to choose everything. It would help to keep used copies of the game off store shelves by adding more replay value to the game. In the same vein I don't get why we don't get customization color sliders for armor, or hair, or lipstick, or eyes, or guns etc. etc. in the game. It could be implimented easily (as we all know from modding) and would add to the RPG (personalizing) element of the game. There is no downside - it could be done easily (since modders can already do it) and it would add greatly to replay value.

True, we dont add more space to the game with modding hairstyles... maybe adding a menu for it, takes a bit of space... but I dont think woudl be alot.
I agree though, is not like we are asking for a Saint Row cuztomization options or something of the like... ME1 and a bit more, with tabs of course would have been fine... and by "a bit more" I mean personal options.... hair cut, eyes.
Can't believe in 100 years there is not a single stylist in the galaxy, at my fingertips lol.
A. Choose armor pieces.
B. Choose armor pieces for squadies.
C. Powers have individual cooldowns, many ideas for this.
D. Plastic surgeon. (facial features, eye color etc)
E. Stylist, someone for a haircut.
F.Weapon dealers.
G.Normandy paint job.
I dont want the cerberus logo all over the place....
But we all know why they limit so much "options" we dont have to fool ourselves, is so they can "sell" us those options AKA '"alternative appereance packs" AKA: Inventory system being resold.
