But we all know why they limit so much "options" we dont have to fool ourselves, is so they can "sell" us those options AKA '"alternative appereance packs" AKA: Inventory system being resold.

That's why the whole cerberus network thing for me was a joke, as far as I'm concerned it's a way to get a nice bit of casg from people buying the game used. All the weapon packs, alternate outfits should have been what it was used for, instead it was used to release things that weren't finished in time for the game's release.

I dont mind the cerberus network it sitll has potential. If they come out with 3-5 appereances pack, and the rest are free from now on... talking about just appereance packs here.

ANd future weapon packs, costing less than 40 microsoft points, I think they would have done well in my view.

So :

1-Give everyone a set of armor extra that is vaccum sealed generic

=Heavy armor for for humans, either N7 style or, colossus from ME2 pieces.

=Normal ME1 for krogan like the colossus for krogan. Mostly to be sealed

=STG for mordin

=some merc outfit for Jack., and Zaeed... prolly medium armor skeleton

=Kasumi: actually I dont mind her current outfit, she just needs to get some plates added to her armor... would look nice and light.

=Samara.... she just needs some extra plates, and no cleveage in vaccum environments :P.

Nice plate going from chest to abs, some leg plates, tons of ideas out there.

2- actually much simpler.. just allow squadies to wear full sets of armors, simple as that, no interchangeble pieces, no little side scrolling menu. Just press Y over and over to choose.

3- Each of those armor SETS to give their respective bonuses to squad mates. as If SHepw as wearing them.

They dont need to even put the effort into making more ideas for armors, they got plenty for everyone.

Just let Miri wear the... cerberus assault armor, or the full n7 armor, or the inferno, the aegis, the colossus (me2 version) etc etc.

Only thing they need to polish is the vaccum seal armors. And a nice friend in other topics made me realize the high heels are not such a big deal, let them have em I dont care, I just dont want little oxygen masks protecting against outer space radiation, or tatoos, protecting against a krogan smackdown.

That's why I'd rather have this for the pc, there are just so many more options for modding. I don't understand why for single player games like this we can't add our own content. Like having a program for this game, DA,Oblivion etc that would let you add the mods made by the community instead of just the dlc they sell us. Some of the mods I've seen people make put the dlc to shame, would be nice to grab a few of those. My female Shep would look hot with Miranda's open top and her hair, it would go good with her glowing blue eyes.(Saw some pics from the pc version, can make your shep look like anyone, and so many more outfits)

If the Baldur's Gate community is anything to go by then we all know just how awesome user made mods can be given enough time, skill, love and dedication. Unfortunately one reason I don't see mass effect 1-2 ever having this is because for one the devs might worry that doing so will screw up the whole continuity from our saves but at the same time they are also using paid DLC as a major cash-cow at the moment.

When I went looking for the most updated version when I decided to finally use the editor a few weeks ago, I saw that the creator mentioned moving on to other games. His interest in finishing what he started might never be piqued again, unless he wants to accommodate the PS3.

Yeah, it's more a wish than anything likely to happen. Posted Image Why let us do it ourselves when they can nickle and dime us to death doing it for us. I do understand about the continuation part, but if that were the case those saves would just not be allowed, you'd get an error or something. I'd love to have a toolset or something like they have for DA and some way to import things from there. Sadly short of a modded xbox, (even then it's limited) it will never happen, too bad though, it could add so much more replayability to the game. I remember playing Morrowind a while back then spending hundreds more hours playing because of all the mods that were available.

In time, probably 2 more consoles down the road modding will be wide spread, but for now, due to xbox live and all that.

But why can't we... well they make games in computers, so is easy to access the coding on a PC, money is to be hadif they are the ones offering the "add ons"

I mean seriously how much have we saved in money?

1st. Adding weapons to different classes... prolly 180-300 microsoft point there

2nd. Adding hairstyles... probably a weird appereance pack of 180 mp right there

3rd. Adding more powers, probably another dlc, 180 right there.

4th. Adding more points to squadmates, 180 right there.

5th. Adding paragon and renegade points, 180 also there.

6th more credits to have, probably go into some DLC that gives you more rewards like the briding dlc's... soemwhere from 180-800 mp right there as well.

Make math.
that is like wha?? little les than 2000 microsoft points? 20 bucks more or less, multiplied by how many mod?

...... they dont like it because it doesn't profit them.

Like fallout, they dont give a hooters butt about the guys who made the popular weapon modding system for fallout 3. They took it, refined it, and sold it as their own in las vegas.

They weren't happy, with the mods, but if there is a popular one, they take it as their own.

Hey you guys, new to save editing.

Was just wondering if I change the Mass Effect 1 choices in a Mass Effect 2 save and then import it. Would the save where I changed this, carry over those choice changes to ME3? Or would it keep the same choices?

And I know that you have not played ME3, I was just wondering if anyone knew how that worked..

Has anyone figured out how to switch the textures for some DLC armors for Miranda and Kasumi's outfits for femShep? Or is that restricted to PC version?

Wide spread now. Also with a Jtag you can do most of the stuff PC modders can do. I know a guy that runs Fo3 PC mods on his dev kit. A dev kit is obviously different than a jtag.

It's restricted to PC and on top of that I think the PC people have to reload those textures for each new enviroment.  Also, the Kasumi mod (I wanted that for my femshep at first too) looks weird on femshep because the heads aren't the same and you can't get the shadow from the hood to cover your eyes.

If I understand you correctly the answer is almost positively yes.  I say almost because at this point no one knows for sure what will and will not import to the 3rd game and how this will be done, but it is hard to imagine that what you want to do won't import - if I undertstand correctly.

Well, I know for a fact that making changes to the ME1 flags and such will take place one you start a new game + in ME2. I now have a FemShep that hugs Ash on Horizon, gets the email, and has the picture on her desk. XD

Yeah, I've changed lots of stuff too and I know it works when you start a new game and Iike I said, I'm almost positive those changes will import to ME3, but I'm always hesitant to tell people something is for sure before we have first hand proof.  I would be shoked if changes didn't import though.

I am still relatively new to modding... wait what is jtag... tell me tell me tell me :P.

What I was trying to imply, is that probably withina  couple of console generations, not the next one but one after it, consoles will either probably have a keyboard, or can use a pc keyboard, and have the exact same console commands as a PC.

In other words, I think future consoles will be more or less, PC's without  the start up menu :P

May be to soon to ask this question(most likely no one knows for sure). I just don't want to replay the entire game over again. If I use save Editor to Switch from Male to Female. Anyone know if their will be any issues going into mass Effect 3? I have 0 romances with the Male Shepard. I would assume switching wouldn't cause any issues.

Might be a tad off-topic while being on topic at the same time but I figured it would be a question to ask in here.

Anyone have any luck editing Mass Effect 1 for the Xbox 360? So far all I have been able to do is edit experience and credits with ease. When I try editing (adding) talent points, it almost always messes up. I was able to get 2 out of around 20 tries to work for adding talent points (but those were both test characters and therefore wasted)

The only other thing I have been able to do is turn Shep into a Turian....sadly I got one of the plain faced ones, still trying to figure out how to give him Nihlus' face so I can use Phantom Armor with him via the armor-upgrade Y-A glitch.

If anyone has any other info/tips on ME1 360 editing...please do share heh.

Edit: Just to clarify, I am only currently using the base hex editor in modio to do the savegame editing. Basically opening in resigner, editing the file and using a hex converter to figure out the values to change.

Does anyone know if you can shut off the hud from Gibbed?

Also,

In the editor under the levels collection tab there is a whole bunch of stuff along the lines of BioA_Nor_105=True,True does anyone know what these switches are for?  Some of the switches in this location are obvious by their titles but there are a lot that aren't - anyone know?

I think I remember seeing a mod that allowed you to play as Garrus in ME2. Does anyone know how to do that? Or, switch Shepard's model to that of one of his squadmate's?

Here is a video of it, just to show its possibility.

Sorry if this has been posted in the forum already, but I can't seem to find a tutorial anywhere. And yes, I see that it's on the PC, but we've managed to mod everything the PC could on the 360 so far.
