This is Nu-Titan's image of the hex editor and where the values of the upgrades are, I just added where I found the Krogan Vitality and Geth Shield Strength upgrades. Please verify and let me know if the locations work guys. More specifically the Krogan Vitality Upgrade is the 2nd byte before the Biotic DMG upgrade and the Geth Shield Strength upgrade is the 18th byte after the Biotic DMG upgrade.....please let me know if they work for you as well.

The krogan upgrade as well as the geth shield upgrade where in the spots that you said( Grunt wont die at all now ) thanks.

So with this modding am i able to do things like:

1. Giving shepard all 3 uber weapons?
2. Giving shepard training for assault rifles, sniper rifles and shotguns?
3. Giving a vanguard certain abilities, like throw and singularity?
4. Giving shepard the alliance uniform?

Thanks

1) yes
2) only through hex editing
3) no, only bonus powers that you gain from loyalty missions
4) no

I am guessing the DLC is going to trigger the romance with Liara too which will probably let the me3 import work with this save, nice!

The DLC they need to release is a M mature DLC pack that expands current scenes and opens new ones. It just could be put out as a 18 plus rating and it's not in the game but a buyers choice

I bet it would sell better than all other DLCs but I could be wrong.

If the biotic/tech cooldown switches can be changed they might be worth locating as well. I'm not sure what to expect with these switches though. Would they be preset "on" and "off" 20% cooldown or would the 20% itself be changeable? It would be nice to have 50% - 75% cooldowns for rapid Adept warp bombing.

I def want that ability if it can be lowered

I'm still new to this. Can someone explain to me the process of getting my character's head morph so I can have it saved??

I'll give this one a go as I've done this a couple of times.
First you'll need to extract the save you wish to use - details of how to do this and the links to the necessary tools are on page one of this board.
Load the save into gibbed and go to the toolbox tab and export the headmorph from your character to somewhere on your PC.  You can now import this using the same process on any other saves you wish.
There are lots of other appearance stuff you can do - different hairstyles for femsheps, TIM's eyes, etc. all of which are covered throughout 80+ pages here or can be found at http://www.masseffect2faces.com/.
Hope this helps but let me know if you need more details.

Okay.  Thanks for the explanation.  Sounds simple enough.  One more thing, isn't there a place I can go find other headmorphs to try out?  I've read through a few pages of this thread but don't remember where I saw the link??

I looked around for a while trying to find these some time ago and don't think I really got anywhere so I ended up using a face from masseffect2faces - just scroll down to the creation code when creating your shep and put in the one from the site - use this as a base and you can then go back to anything you want to change and just change that (hair colour, skin tone, etc.) .  I then used gibbed to change the hair and eyes to make it a bit more individual.
Sorry I couldn't be more help.

You can also paste in a face code under appearance on the raw tab in gibbed if you already have a character you want to change.  I haven't tried this, but I don't see it should be an issue although if there was any problem you could create a new character and then export the head morph and import it onto the existing character.

Thanks for that info. Maybe someone will come up with a database of headmorphs one of these days. : )

I can't see it happening now.
Some of the faces at the website I mentioned above do have links to the files, so you may have some luck there, otherwise all files are labelled me2headmorph if you want to search.

I need to make a Liara in squad save for Heretic Station

Does anyone have the location codes for either the initial auto save or from a manual save (without moving after you morph into the level) for Heretic Station? It's the only main mission left that I haven't done with Liara. Zero gravity plus double singularity should be cool .

Thanks

Can I use other character's skin textures for Shepard. I saw somebody mention using Ashley's texture for their FemShep, for example.

If so, how can I do this?

You can change the skin color as you wish but not the texture. You can change your skin color to whatever color you please so technically if you can find out the skin color vectors of Ashley you can then plug those in for Shepard. If you mean using ashley's body or face for your shepard then no....that's not possible with Gibbed's as you'd need access to the .ini files and only PC gamers can access those so far.

I have no idea. Maybe someone who has a Mac could propperly answer this. At a bare minnimum you absolutely need Gibbed's Save Editor(360 version) and Modio so you can try and see if they run on a Mac and if they don't do a google search to see if there are Mac compatible versions of those programs. Being able to use the HxD hex editor can also prove very benefficial as it's the only way to get all the speacial weapons in the SR2's weapon locker, mod upgrades and change/give yourself training for the 3 weapon classes otherwise only available on the collector ship and there you're restricted to only one class or bonus weapon so you may want to look into that too.

If all else fails you may need to try finding alternative programs to Modio(Le Fluffie is a possible alternative and there are others) and HxD(there are tons of hex editors out there, some better than others) but there is no alternative to Gibbed's Save Editor that I know of.

Hey thanks, I was able to  find a chapter save in an old career after all and it works perfectly - even begins with the cut scene.  These numbers are slightly different - is this the auto save or a manual one right from the entry point?  You said you've "been trying to get this" - not sure what you mean but if it isn't working the chapter save definitely will.

This one is a manual save but still shows the cut scene for some reason( dont know why i saved after the cut scene ) and what i meant by  "been trying to get this" was i was trying to get to this level by doin story mode normal took a long time though.

First of all, THANK YOU. I've finally sorted out all the superficial problems I had with all my Sheps (i.e. back stories, missed quests in ME1 etc - I'm too honest to mod any of the weapons or anything like that)

Basically, I'm trying to get TIM's eyes onto my infiltrator, and I'm halfway there. I've got the eyes themselves on, but for some reason whatever I do to the colour values they're coming up red. I'm aiming for a sort of dark royal blue colour (the values I got from Paint were B250, G20, R1) but I can't work out how to translate that into the values on Gibbed. Help please? Much appreciated

I would like to make one of my Shepard created in Mass Effect 2 have a Mass Effect 1 past. Now, I know how to do this, edit the flags in the editor and import that Shepard into a new play through.

My question is that are there any flags that are more important then others? Id rather not crash my game so if theres any guides or advice to be givin, please tell me.

Basically I'm trying to make a completely renegade character, if that matters at all.

That happens when you forget this part: Change "EYE_Iris_Colour_Vector" name to "Emis_Color" (without the quotes) and then change the colour values

NOTE that it goes from saying "Colour" to saying "Color"......it's tricky but spelling it correctly is extremely important or it won't work.

There's no guide to which boxes to check that I know of but use some common sense and don't do anything you couldn't by normally playing the game.....such as saving both Kaidan and Ashley or both abandoning and saving the council or making both udina and anderson councilors for example....and you should be fine. You get the idea....just make sure there are no contradictions and you'll be OK.
