Well I was operating on the assumption that if told connect your USB to your PC it'd be pretty clear I'm not talking about the port and that you'd know where it goes. And why even mention a USB cable if your PC has a USB port? The cable does absolutely nothing for you if you have a USB port. Generally speaking if I ned to break that down for you then you probably shouldn't even try to mod anything.

Generally speaking ... if all things are so easy, that there is no need to explain anything, why does this topic exists ??? Should be all clear Mr. Super Modder, or not ???

Maybe someone can answer this now, Hopefully.

All my 360 saves are only slightly modified. Max Stats, Money & Resources. Only females have changed hair code. Nothing else is modded.

My question is, will I have anything to worry about when Importing my save into Mass Effect 3? Will I have to do another few runs with a clean save in Mass Effect 2?

Well there's never a 100% guarantee of functionality when it comes to mods but I'm not worried.....I seriously doubt you'll have problems when importing into ME3......the NPC hair might be an issue if the importer can't read it since we know that your appearence will be imported but you don't need to play a new game just for that.....you can easily fix that in Gibbeds when the time comes and only IF it creates problems. Hell pretty much everything you can screw up in Gibbeds can also be fixed in Gibbeds.

I was getting a bit worried that I might need to replay the game a few more times. thanks for the info.

Dont get worried. Whatever you change all you have tot o is change it back into normal parameters. Personally I dont know a huge amount of pc coding and all that stuff. But pc expansions are the same. MOST likely if you changed something simple like extra resources, the expansion aka sequel wont really care, because it wont read it. Like ME2 if you got 9mill credits, all the game reads is you got above 1 mill..... thats it.

You dont have to replay the entire game... unless you want to out of kicks. But simply revert anything you did back.

Resources:

Load a previous unmodded file and look at the amount of resources you had at the end, and then go put something similar to the modded file, i Have 300k left after ending the game, when ME3 I will put something between 30k to 60k in each.

If you placed weapons in hands of allies that aren't theirs, like me avenger to jack or geth rifle to tali, simply change them back.

Credits, same thing.

The game wont care what you have most of the time as long as you dont go nuts. Now they said "maxing abilities" MIGHT mess up your game... well simply copy that file, have normal points added, and another save where everything is maxed, if the game doesn't export properly then thats fine, if not then have fun with maxed out features.

Personally I been doing the exploits of ME1 recently coz Inever even knew they existed, on infinite creds of reloading save files, which also gives you infinite exp. 1 playthrough I was lv 60 already.

Did the loriq quinn thing for paragon renegeade.... ME2 file was fine being imported from that "potentially corrupted glitched".

Now is there a 100% chance like Darth mentioned that the game will work perfectly.... no. But is easier now with USB drives, just make copies of the same.

Once I am done with a character, I go back to a folder, there is a folder with the career heavily modified, and then I quickly make copy revert everything back. I know my Vanguard lv 30 with 9999heat sinks for the revenant, every skill maxed. ALl pistols replaced by Assault rifles with those who have shotguns, and those who hold SMG's hold snipers.

I have a copy of that file where everything is normal, not all skills maxed, no clips modified, no extra weapons.

If my heavil modified save doesn't export correctly, I'll try its mirror pure copy.

IN the end, just make copies, revert anything you change to normal parameters and you'll be fine.

I've.....acquired free dlc's from my friends via liscense transfer and all my modded files work perfectly.

Ello. Been a while since I did this. ANd now I can't for the love of god get the eyes to work right. I got em, worked out. But the color is the thing I am missing, I dont remember what to do after the parameters are changed. The values is the next step from what the opening page does but I can't remember. Even if I change them, and save when I try later to open the file the values remain as if I never tried to changed them I dont really know why.

To be specific, yes I got the TIm's eyes... 3 circles thing, but the color of them is what I can't change for some reason, the RGBA values dont save into the gibbed... on top of which I dont remember the values for the light blue color TIM's eye are :P

any help would be awesome.

Where is your character physically in the game? I was having the same problem for a while and found that the issue was that Shepard was in armor at the time of the mod. For some reason if you mod a save where Shepard is wearing armor like on world or during most missions it reverts your mods back. Try hopping on the Normandy, saving, and modding that save. That did the trick for me.

As for the light blue eyes I can't be certain the code, but if you already have blue eyes on your character, I find that upping the Alpha to 5 not only lightens them up but gives them a sweet glow-in-the-dark effect. Gere's the code for one of my Shepards that I think looks the best so far. 0.1572807, 0.2758328, 0.4877652, 5 (that's ordered R, G, B, A so ya know)

hmmmm I been trying all the modding even before finishing horizon.... right on the secret cerberus station... lol I been restarting the game 3 times and the same... maybe that is why because he is always with armor until I get to the normandy for the first time.

Thanks for the info I am going to see and figure out how it works :P

 Hey guys,

Im trying to change the weapon damage using the HEX Edit guide but I cant find de right values.
I checked the "map" to help me find the right bits but it seems that my save have less information then it was suppose to. Right now Im playing the mission to get Garrus in the team.

Did anybody get lucky doing this ??

From the picture, counting down exactly how it is... I have only foudn the shotgun class specialty... I am still reeling to everything.... apparently the picture is not precise enough or I am just not looking hard enough which is most likely the latter.

although my shotgun specialty is under health upgrade.... and is not like in the picture so I am confused man not sure what to tell you.

PS: Does anyone remember if we can add bonus powers to squadmates... not ordinary powers, but like tugsten ammo, barrier, reave, etc.

Thanks for your answer, I dont know exactly about the bonus powers but Im almost sure that this is not possible, almost like you cant have a Soldier  with specific power from Adept.

I'll try a bit more to find that values and how to edit then and if I make any progress I'll post here.

No I am not saying a specific powers of an adepts, just like shep can have bonus powers, wondering if I could do the same to squadmates. not to give them throw or warp. But to give them barrier, or tugsten ammo and the like.

Sorry, as far as I'm aware this cannot be done.

crap..... ME2 was coming back to me for another couple of rounds but nah... passed it once... and I definitely need squadmates to be more than just that "extra power I need".... sigh.

So sad... with my ideas it would make them perfect....Imagine this

Miranda:

Overload

Warp

GSB(....instead of tech armor)

Tugsten Ammo

FlashBang

SMG/ Mantis sniper

Garrus:

Overload

Concussion

Tugsten

Fortification

Flashbang

My favorite though

Tali:

AI Hacking

Drone

Energy Drain

GSB

Tugsten Ammo

geth pulse Rifle/geth Shotgun

sigh....... hopefully someone will find a way.... PLEASE ANY NERD READING THIS... I will pay u 20 bucks if u can crack it, no kidding.

Can someone help me, I honestly feel like I'm going to cry.... I didn't create a backup of a save, one that I had been doing a 100% complete run on, I wanted all the upgrades so I thought it would be a good idea load up Modio, extract the save, edit it with Gibbed, changing ONLY the values of the resources, I replaced the existing save then injected it back in Modio and resigned. I then went to my 360 and it now says corrupted save... it want's me to delete it and ME2 doesn't even recognise it. I'm pretty upset by this, it was a completest run, imported from ME1, I don't have my ME1 save either, after foolishly deleting it, I had done a good chunk of the game, I had done a fair amount of N7 missions... and now it looks like I will have to start again in ME1 at Eden Prime... all my progress in both games.. gone? Can anyone think of a way to get my save back? Modio still recognizes it.. but that's it.

EDIT: Luckily I hadn't deleted my ME1 save after all, I was just being an idiot, so at least I won't have to restart both games, just re-inport it. <_<

Did you delete your save from USBXTAFGUI and inject your newly modded file back into it?

If you still have the folder with the individual numbered saves on your desktop you could also start a new career with that ME1 save and then move your most recent save from the corrupted career to the new career and then continue from there.  I have rescued a few saves that way.  Often an individual numbered save is still viable even when the career it is part of is corrupted - provided it's moved to a new working career..

Are you trying to change it to a tint vector that is not in the armor locker?  I don't think you can do that with a game save.  Gibbed lets you change armor pieces as well as armor tint but only beyween pieces and colors that are in the game.  If you are trying to change armor color like we change hair color or eye color I don't think it works that way.  I would love to customize armor color beyond what's in the locker but I don't think it will work - I'd love to be proven wrong though.

No no... the colors are.... so so, not trying to change those.

I am speaking about the ... lights. All armors have just blue lights duno why... except Terminus has all red. Wondering if the same way u can change your eye color through gibbed. Is there a way to change those blue color lights to something else.

Somebody in another thread by mistake changed the terminus red lights to aqua blue... how no idea, and I can't seem to find the thread :P.

PS: Has anyone found the Locations in Hex for:

Normal Weaponry ammunition

Biotic Duration/cooldown upgrade.... been trying but since is only one of each...

and the same for tech duration and cooldown upgrade.

too many ...corrupt saves now :P

still glad I can now just add shizload of heavy ammo and change my weaponry without fear of the ammo reseting..... sigh love my arc projector and my .....damn forgot the one of black hole :P

I'd be pretty surprised if you could change the light color on the armor from a game save - I certainly haven't seen it done anywhere.

Isolating the cooldown field should be easy once you have the necessary biotic or tech upgrades (3) and access to the lab.  Just make a save, then apply the cooldown upgrade and save again - don't move or do anything else between saves.  Open both saves in a hex editor and tell the editor to show you what's different.  It's either going to be an on off switch, in which case the game only recognizes if it's been applied or not.  Or, it's going to be adjustable and you will be able to reduce the cooldowns to whatever you want.
