For a short-term fling, probably Shiala. From the interaction with her on Illium, it seems like she's been trying so hard to find her place in the universe, and along comes this dashing commander who liberates her from thralldom and indoctrination, gives her a purpose, and reaffirms that purpose. Despite all that, she feels almost lost and decidedly lonely, and maybe over the course of a romantic weekend, I (that is to say, Shepard, even though I only play FemSheps), could help her find her inner strength. This wouldn't be like a "do'em and dump'em" relationship for humans, as this kind of thing is perfectly normal among the asari.



For permanent bondmate, without a doubt Liara. She's smart as a whip, can kick seventeen kinds of ass and not break a sweat, and yet is so innocent and full of wonder. Sure, the years since Shepard's death have been hellish, but she's made of sterner stuff than is readily apparent. She's sacrificed so much for me already, she clearly wants to resume the relationship.



So much for the topic, eh? I've given plenty of in-game reason, but IRL, it would still be the same: short fling, Shiala; long-term, Liara. And yes, I dig the asari in general. Tali is like a nerdy younger sister, Miranda is a comrade-in-arms, Samara is the sage old warrior and an honorable ally, Ashley...same as Miranda...at least in ME1.

Haha, the first time I heard that I was like WTF. It was the only move I was able to do with Scorpion. back back forth if I remember correctly.
