Ok so I've run the gauntlet and retreived the ashes. My quest log says use the ashes to heal Eamon.

Problem is, when I got to his room there's no one to talk to and the ashes in my inventory only have an examine option. Would any one care to clue me in on what I'm missing?

I can't seem to find him anywhere in the castle. Is he hanging out in Redcliffe somewhere?

Yeah, I had the same problem. You have to click on Eamon. I had to angle my camera down facing the floor before I found the spot to click.
