I was doing the Kasumi loyalty mission yesterday, and after about 18- 20 tries, (on insanity) Hock stopped regenerating his gunship's shields, & the med station had nothing!! It was enough to beat Hock, but it makes me wonder if this is a program intrinsic to the whole game or just this DLC??
Glitch... Yes or No??

It took you 18-20 tries to beat Hock's gunship? Maybe the game just took pity on you. I've only done Kasumi's mission twice on insanity but I've never had that happen to me.

I died the first time, but that was stupidity on my part.. Second time i kinda just ignored the thing for a long time... after you fight off a couple of waves of ground troups and Kasumi decided to jump up to the thing, i believe its pretty much over n done with from that point...

Basically, what you need to do is deplete the Gunship's shields once. They'll regenerate, but the thing will fly off. As it comes back, Kasumi will inform you that she can take out the shields if she can get a clear shot. Take out any enemies on the ground; once they're all gone, a cut-scene will play in which Kasumi disables the Gunship's shields (and does the splits from a starting point about 20 feet in the air *winces*). At that point, the ship returns, but the shields are gone. Simply down it and take out any ground troops, and the mission is done.
Waiting until Kasumi can get Rapid Shadow Strike and being able to strip Shields will make taking out the ground troops much easier, by the way.

Yes take out the shields once and then clear out the ground forces to trigger the cut scene. The Kasumi stunt scene will trigger even if she is dead and you've been fighting alone.

It took me quite a few tries before I realised the fight doesn't advance until you kill the shields.

If what you guys are saying is true then I think I experienced another glitch my first time through on insanity. I dropped the gunship's shield at least three times killing about four or so waves of enemy mercs and the scene never triggered. The gunship kept returning with full shields along with more mercs until I ran toward the landing area and hid there for awhile.

first off, it's not glitch. it's impossible to take that gunship shield down if hock contiunes to generate it. you have to wait until Kasumi jump to gunship, and hack the shield, deplete it completely. until then, you have to fight against enemies. then you don't need to die 18-20 times? just stay behind the heavy barrier.

I think you're right about having to move forward a bit to trigger the cut scene - I forgot about that.
I think the fastest way to trigger the scene is to deplete the sheilds once - Hock will replenish them immediately - take out the next wave of ground forces and then move forward. At least that's how I remember it.
-maybe you don't even have to drop them once, I don't think I've ever tried moving forward right away after killing the first wave.

I think you do need to drop them once. At least both times I played the mission (2nd time on normal so I was more aggressive and moved forward), Kasumi only told me to kill the remaining forces after one shield-killing session.
And oddly enough, I didn't die even once in this mission on my insanity run! Granted, I escaped many situations by the skin of my teeth, but I actually died more on normal (that's overconfidence and biotic charge bugging out for you
)
