[II Relics II]

I have seen quite a few topics asking where to find certain specializations, so I have compiled a list of where to find all of these specializations and what questline they are associated to. (Big thanks to Dragon Age Origins Wiki for the information)

Warrior

Reaver - Kolgrim (Urn of Sacred Ashes) - Redcliffe Questline

Templar - Alistair (With high enough approval), Tome sold at your Camp Site - No Questline

Champion - Curing Arl Eamon (Urn of Sacred Ashes) - Redcliffe Questline

Berserker - Oghren (With high enough approval), Tome sold by Gorim in Denerim - No Questline

Rogue

Assassin - Zevran (With high enough approval), Alarith (Denerim) - No Questline/Denerim Questline

Duelist - Isabella (Located at the Pearl Brothel) - No Questline

Bard - Leiliana (With high enough approval), Alimar's Emporium (Dust Town) - No Questline

Ranger - Buy at your camp site - No Questline

Mage

Blood Mage - Desire Demon - Redcliffe Questline

Shapeshifter - Morrigan (With high enough approval), Varathorn (Dalish Camp) - No Questline

Spirit Healer - Tome sold at the Wonders of Thedas (Denerim) - No Questline

Arcane Warrior - Lower Ruins (Phylactery) - Dalish Questline

Arcane Warrior is in the werewolf area, forget the exact location, but it's crystal on the ground with an arcane warrior spirit trapped inside

I wish there was a different way to get assassin. I killed him cause I'm hardcore like that. I figured he was just a Ranger trainer. Oh well, I guess my next toon wont get that til later in teh game. I guess I'll be a duelist first since I have that.

Has anyone gotten Wynne to teach the healer spec? I thought I read one of the dev's say that the only way to learn it was to buy the manual.

Yeah, I have heard the Blood Mage and Arcane Warrior make a powerful combo.

If I remember, the arcane warrior can be learned at the tower... with the quartermaster? I ain't sure, but I am sure I saw the book to learn that specialisation.

Arcane Warrior: Werewolf ruins, Lower Ruins or the Werewolf Lair, cant remember which sub-area. There will be a phylactory on the floor and about 5 steps to your left is an altar. "Touch" the phylactory then speak to the spirit and learn what knowledge it still possesses. It will tell you it will teach you to be an Arcane Warrior if you place it upon the altar.

arcane warrior is obtained in the ruins in the werewolf area. A phylactery containing the spirit of an ancient elf teaches you.

Spirit healer can't be learned from Wynne, the only way is to buy the manual. You can get one in Denerim from the mages' shop.

Zevran will find you at a certain point in the game.



The Pearl is in Denerim, you'll get a quest from the market guard to clear out some mercenaries who are fighting with Isabella... you have to play cards with her to get her to teach you.

just remember to unlock a book you buy from a merchant save your game buy it get the unlock and reload your game to get your gold back.

As a noble dwarf, you can buy the Berserker tome from your second Ogrim @ Denerim when he became a merchant.

You know, everyone says Morrigan will teach you Shapeshifting if she likes you enough, but it appears 100 status with her isn't sufficient - she still refuses to do so.

For shapeshifting, I think I seen a book on it with the quartermaster for the Dalish elves.

This rings true.It's my favorite Specialization as far as experience goes

and here's what I've gathered:

Specialization Unlocks Locations

Warrior class:
-Berserker : Learned from Oghren or a book sold by Gorim in Denerim Market
-Champion : Learned from Arl Eamon after "Urn of Sacred Ashes" quest
-Reaver : Learned from Kolgrim in the Wyrmling Lair
-Templar : Learned from Alistair or a book sold in Bodahn's Wares (Party Camp Merchant)

Mage class:
-Arcane Warrior : Learned from "The Presence" in Brecillian Ruins Lower Level
-Blood Mage : Learned from Desire Demon in "The Fade" (part of "Arl of Redcliffe" quest)
-Shapeshifter : Learned from Morrigan or Varathorn in the Dalish Camp
-Spirit Healer : Learned from a book sold in the Wonders of Thedas shop at Denerim Market

Rogue class:
-Assassin : Learned from Zevran or Alarith's store in Denerim after starting the "Landsmeet" quest
-Bard : Learned from Leliana or a book sold in Alimar's Emporium at Orzammar Dust Town section
-Duelist : Learned from Isabela in The Pearl at Denerim
-Ranger : Learned from a book sold in Bodahn's Wares (Party Camp Merchant)

as you might have guessed,it depends on your class.I think it's the same for the Desire Demon in The Fade but I'm not sure

Very likely, yes. But can't say either, my warrior is level 3. My mage is level 11 or so.
