I've inserted a Merchant and exported, now the merchant doesn't appear. Any ideas?

Merchant resources don't appear directly in game. The usual procedure is to make a creature, then include a script in their conversation that opens the merchant (see wiki). If you've done all that, be sure to place both the merchant and the creature in your area, then go to the ALL section of the palette and export everything you've made.

Ah that would be why, how would I go about making a merchant then? I'm looking at Ilen from single player and cannot see any link between him and the merchant.
