The only time I felt the swearing was a little bit over-the-top and out of place was when Aria had her "Don't. ****. With Aria." bit. Even that seemed okay to me though, because I felt it was kind of in character for her, since she sort of came off as having a ridiculously grandose sense of herself that she only got away with because she could tear your head off with biotics and shove it where the sun didn't shine.



So in other words... no. But I can see why others might feel that way.

I live in Scotland, it seems pretty normal to me, not a day goes by I don't hear swearing of some kind, from someone.

The only time when I thought it was a bit overboard was with the Joker mission. He said nothing but "****". I'm sure a normal person in Jeff's position would say the same, but there are other swears besides **** out there as well. A bit more variety would have been nice, but that's just my opinion. Others think it's way funnier to see Jeff repeat **** over & over again.

All in all: Not too much swearing in this game, had more "Oh SH*T" moments myself than what they had in the game. I'd say keep it the way it is. The swearing didn't come off as annoying or overused imo.

Amen to that.  Though, he does get to say, when you talk to Tarak, and you have Zaeed in your group "You know this a-hole?"  Or of course, his great line to TIM:  "I'm getting a lot of bull---t on this line."  But yeah, a f-bomb or true on occasion wouldn't be out of character.  The thresher maw, finding out the origins of the Collectors, a line like "did a f--ing GETH just save my life?"

This is coming from the viewpoint of someone who was a fan of Mass Effect 1. I mean, I liked that game because it was epic and retro and was funny and yet it had little swearing. Most games nowadays swear waaay too much. Gears could get away with it at some points but mostly it was stupid. The Call of Duties are also going down this path. In fact, the only 15-rated games (M in America) I haven't seen doing this now are the Halo games but even they over use the B words slightly.

And also, the use of language in ME2 was rediculous. I mean, the only two characters who got away with it were Joker and Jack. And none of it came out right to be honest. I was expecting Miranda at the start to say a more appropiate "abloodyhero!" which would suit her accent more. But her saying it slowly didn't really work. It's the same with the Physics obsessed Marines outside the Citadel.

Which is your opinion, and from my point of view quite a hard one to understand. I thought Zaeed's dialogue was brilliant. I'm unashamedly English (and I mean that more than just literally) and I say 'son of a b****' all the time. It's probably my most used 'swear', to adopt the American turn of phrase. I thought the way he said b***ard, and times he said it was not only hilarious, but totally in keeping with his character.

I do wonder why someone with such a fantastic London accent is called Zaeed Massani, but I guess that's just 22nd century cross-culturalism for you.

I do understand people that feel the Aria line was a little forced - almost like it was there just to be 'naughty', but I liked it. Sure, it's more hollywood than gangster, but it brought a little smile to my face when I heard it.

I agree with whoever said Shepard should swear more, would really be nice to have one of those times where we're confronted with a big, bad enemy (*ahem*, three YMIRs at once) and I let out a slow "Oh Fuu***" for Shepard to do it too. That said, I know that if they did that, people like you who aren't such a fan of 'excessive' swearing would by crying out that 'their' Shepard would never do that. And I guess that's fine.

Your point about Zaeed is just stupid man, Zaeed was probibly raised in the Terminus systems by parents of british descent hence the accent, but the Terminus systems are full of underworld gangs who sware more than the upper class.

No swearing is awesome, and there is hardly any swearing in ME 2. I do not know in which country you watch your television but here in Germany there is a decent amount of swearing in the tv, and compared to the normal amount of swearing ME 2 is harmless.
