Do you prefer Mass Effect on the PC or Xbox 360?

IMO it doesn't matter which system there is no difference to me other than more keybinds on PC.

But now i'll leave because I already sense heavy PC fanboy-ism incoming.

I'm kidding.
Anyway, I can only afford console. I think the PC has a lot of cool advantages (hot keys, mouse, etc.) but I love the XBOX controller, and the XBOX achievements.

Also, I can spend Microsoft points on any game-bioware points always have a unhealthy amount left unused.

While it's still civil, I'll throw in my 2 cents. I play ME on the 360. Actually, I bought a 360 specifically to play Mass Effect, I was PS3 only before and really had no intention of getting a 360, but I figured it was worth it for ME, and I was right.
I never used my PCs as gaming machines even back when I still used Windows. These days I have a Mac anyway. But I've always been a console gamer, all the way back to the Atari 2600. Controllers are just more intuitive to me than keyboard/mouse (even for shooters, I've never understood that argument) - it just takes me out of the experience when I do it with a physical interface that is a workhorse and a writing tool to me. Plus I just can't deal with the hardware configuration crap. Same reason I switched to Mac. I like my computers and gaming machines to just, you know, work without me having to tinker with them endlessly and having to understand every nook and cranny of how they work. I don't fault people who enjoy that as part of the gaming hobby, but I'd rather just pop in the game and play.

That's why I threw in just kidding. Obviously not trying to ruffle any feathers, and dry humor does not translate well to text.

Controls of course, social peace at home with no fight over TV (i am very MEolic), the ability to semi-AFK EvE online at same time, the ability to mod/edit (and avoid scaning for exemple) and finally, 'tis a ME1 one tho, less stupid mini games on PC.

If I had it my way, I'd like to play it on PS3.
I love my Xbox 360, (especially the controller, so much better than the slippery Dual Shock 3) but the ever present fear of RRoD makes me wish it was available for PS3.

Actually this can be done on 360 as well.

My choice is pc and steam. It is much quieter than the 360, I can do other work on it, no disc needed, small form factor is barely bigger than a 360 plus adapter/cables.

The PC version has everything the console version has + better controls, less anoying planet scanning and slight modding possibilites.

I was just making sure the OP would know. Obviously modding is always easier on the PC.
Ah, ok, sorry.
So far, yes it is easier.
It is very nice someone found a way to mod it on consoles and it is only the begining, give modders some time and they will prolly make alot more nice stuff.

...though only by a very small margin. The port is halfway decent, but it could have been so much more that it's almost depressing (same med to low res textures as on the 360, no utilization of the additional keys of the keyboard, etc...).

Unlike Dragon Age which is clearly better on PC.

Dragon Age is definitely better on a PC. For ME1 and ME2, I would say there are pretty close to the same experience. I prefer to play on PC because my laptop can play on high settings and I prefer the portability that goes with that. Its always nice when my wife and I go out of town and I can convince her to drive for a bit while I play Mass Effect.

So I hear... not to derail the thread, but how bad are the console versions? I kind of want to get it, but I've heard bad things about the dumbed down combat system...
