no. i´m sorry but it´s so obvious that this is not the case.
On topic. PC, i simply prefer playing shooters on pc,. Only games i play on my xbox are adventures or action games like Dante´s Inferno...so for the most of the time that thing is collection dust.

You can asign 3 powers and 2 squad powers, which is enough for me. and i agree you are the one person who actually has set up an arguement. ME1 is better on the pc, but it also came out after the xbox version, and ME2 is equal on both, it's just personal prefrence.Cascadus wrote...
...why would anyone prefer the 360 version?
Remove the concept of different platforms and loyalty. Speaking about solely the game, the PC version is flat-out better. This is not personal preference, this is pure objective fact. Shorter load times, less texture pop-in, modding capabilities, power hotkeys, etc, etc. You can make all the arguments about 'the game feels better' or 'aiming with a controller is better', but mechanically, Mass Effect is far stronger on the PC.
If you're talking about ME2, the playing field is leveled extraordinarily, though the PC version has the advantage of scaling. Load times on the Normandy for the 360 can get ridiculous, I can load mine in a few moments. Plus, again, power hotkeys. I'm aware the 360 now has the option of assigning two of them from your power wheel, but on the PC, your options open dramatically.
P.S. you can mod a 360, just not a simple as modding a pc.
Yeah buddy
PS3 is my system of choice. Though I enjoy Xbox Live a lot best of both worlds

Game wise, what does a computer do that a xbox doesn't?xCirdanx wrote...

I don't like more keys, i like it simple and all in one place, load times are not that long for ME2 on the 360, but you are right with the last one; i mean you didn't have to disk swap for ME1, but you do for ME2. when you look at it though there really isn't a diiference in game performance just whatever you perfer.piemanz wrote...

Obviously you haven't seen how well 360 game graphics are on my TV; i run it at 1080p, that's probably what your computer is (considering you have the highest resolution possible), except i get a 46 in screenDethateer wrote...

i know, you perform better with a keyboard, i do better with a controller.piemanz wrote...
I'm not guessing what you like i'm simply stating the advantages the PC has over the Xbox. You're happy with using a controller and thats fine but it's also personal prefrence, having more keys is advantagous.

Better graphics, modding.... and once again it is possible to mod a 360, just not that easy.
Thats probably the one thing that makes the Xbox compete with the PC ,while you can connect your PC to a TV most of the time it's not practical.

See now you are being more specific...game wise
The biggest benefit my computer has over my xbox is the broader mass of games that are available, be it genres or simply all the old games. As you said you can mod on a xbox, again you will have more of those on pc. In my experience patches also come faster and more regular on pc systems. Heck you can even play older platform foreign games on pc (emulator *cough*).
Overall the pc gives me more freedom in my opinion. Not to mention that my xbox hardware is already out of date and i can´t just upgrade it. Of course the console was way cheaper, mostly because they sold it that way with millions of dollar losses (only the Wii is profitable when it comes to the hardware), but while being more expensive, i can and will also be able to run all future games with better graphics for quite a while and only have to do minor upgrades. (who aren´t realy expensive considering i will sell the older hardware anyway).
There is also the point that i don´t just play games on it, it´s my multitasking multimedia platform which i also use to work. (i´m a software dev) So not game wise, i also do a lot of stuff i couldn´t do with my console.
Plus, my games are cheaper
No seriously if you prefer the xbox as your favourite game platform, that´s all just fine. My point was just you can´t do all the same with it, there is more than games, music or watching a movie you can do and that´s why i think the PC is better if you also use it for more. I just got carried a bit away.
I just wish i would have gotten a Wii, some games are a nice party gimmick.
Ok wall of text, sorry, i´m done
(one more thing..any game dev that says "i think pc´s are dead" should think about an other job maybe)

I played ME1 on xbox before I got it for PC, and liked the setup so I still play ME1 on my Logitech controller. However, with the new combat in ME2 I switched to mouse+keyboard.
out of curiousity, im wondering what aspect of ME2s combat system requires more than what a controller is capable of?
im only asking because i play ME2 on a controller on PC and havent found anything lacking in terms of gameplay function. seems about the same as ME1 to me.
Just personal preference.
ME1 had more RPG stuff, a lot more running around, the mako, and slower combat. I prefer using a controller for that. I used my mouse in the inventory though.
ME2 is much more combat heavy and while I can use both a mouse+keyboard and controller effectively, I always play FPS better with a mouse.
On a side note, my PC is my TV, I use a TV turner with my 1080p 23" monitor

360. ME and ME2 where built for the 360, while PC version is a port. I have seen that there is alot of bugs and while the PC have the mods (no longer a big deal since it is poseable to mod ME2 on the 360) I my self perfer the controls on the 360.
Also why do people say the 360 is a port version? Did you guys follow dev? The PC version is in fact the port..........
that bugs the hell out of me for some reason, the PC version of ME is the port not he 360 version cause ME was released on the 360 first and like a year later the PC version came out.
Otherwise I perfer to play on my 360 I've always played on consoles and my pc isn't all that great for gaming.
