Downloaded Content Not Working

I entered the pomo code in game and it was told sucessful i reset game and tried to located the code before and after i reset game.I have looked everywhere including the quest journel etc and i can't find the quest for the codes content or the item anywhere?
Am I missing something?I assumed after being told it was sucessful and a reloading of the game id have seen some indication in game it worked,not just the web page saying my code has been successful entered.
My question is where the hells my item or quest for the item???????

You entered a code for which DLC? If you entered a code, the DLC you have registered would be listed here http://social.biowar...ntitlements.php Is the DLC that you registered listed here? If so, are you logged in to the game? When you look at the downloadable content part of the menu, is it showing as being installed, or is the game not downloading it?

I have the same problem. The DLC that I register is listed here http://social.biowar...ntitlements.php, but still nothing, when I look at the downloadable content part of the menu. What's wrong?

Are you logged into the game, do you have a firewall or ip blocker that is blocking the server? You can manually download the DLC from here: http://dragonage.wik...oadable_Content if the game is not autodownloading your registered DLC. You would install using daupdater.exe. Note that you still need to be able to connect to the server after installing as you need to authenticate your DLC.

The same with me. It reads I can download the content for mass effect 2 ( i dont have this game). But there are no links to download the content for Dragon age .

Dragon age downloads the DLC in game, the info on your registered page just states what DLC you have registered and that the server will download that DLC when you login to the game. If that doesn't work you can see my post above and install manually.

I wonder if there's a server issue. No matter what I try at the moment, the game doesn't think any of my DLC is authentic.

These problems are good but I think I can go one better:

OS Win7 HP

DA:O Retail DVD (un-patched)



Purchased and started playing the game on 3/29.

Had an issue with downloading the included bonus DLC.

Contacted Tech Support and problem was resolved (there was a problem
with Dupdater/.NET Framework.)



4/14 Made a Bioware point purchase.

When logged in I am unable to dl available dlc because point balance is
zero (I did not receive a redeem code for the points I purchased)

Contacted Tech Support by chat, twice (no resolution.) Called Tech
Support and after rehashing the history I was told I needed to speak to a
higher tier Tech.

I could not wait and so I made an appointment for a call back ( was set
for 11 am yesterday.) Did not get call back. Contacted Tech support by
E-mail and was given another run around to rehash information.



My conclusion: Unless you deal with a upper tier Tech, you are talking
to Crack headed Parrot-Chimps.



I assume when you purchase points you are supposed to be assigned a
redeem code for them? They never will answer that question. I provided
all requested transaction info : Name, Acc., order#, etc. There is a pdf
guide on the DA site that purports to instruct users on how to redeem
points but completely misses the mark on a key piece of info: where do
you get the redeem code after you have purchased the points?:whistle:

So you already have the DLC installed, however when you go to play now it's not working? I just went into DAO and didn't have authentication issues, I see you're in Canada, but I don't think they have separate servers for Canada. And you have no firewall or anything blocking the server, no new mods that may have edited the addins or manifest xml files?

For Bioware points, you purchase them and get a confirmation email. In the game it should allow you to use these points on the downloadable content section, you need to login with the same email address tied to your profile and that you made the purchase with. So when you are logged into the game, it shows zero points? You don't get a redeem code to enter on this site, after you select what to purchase with your points in the game, it should auto add the DLC in your registered promotion page.

Not happening, available content = Return to Otsagar when I click on the point balance update button I get 0. So far as I am aware there is no way to DL content without submitting a code.



This does not (your explanation) excuse the way EA support has handled my issue, hell I've had better support call experiences with GFWL.

For DLC that you purchase you don't enter any code. You just purchase the points, then redeem within the game or you can on the site, it is then added to your account. The way to redeem on the site is to go here http://social.bioware.com/page/da1-dlc and select buy now on whatever DLC you want. Then enter your password. When you do this is it saying at the bottom: "You do not have enough BioWare points to complete this transaction" and asking you to purchase more points? Can you verify that you used the same email address to register the game here and to purchase your points?



I'm not trying to excuse what seems like not very good customer service from EA support, however I am trying to help you.

Id like to know why content like Shale and Wardens keep are only compatible with game version 1.0 however there are patches out for later versions that wont let me install these 2 DLC. Is there any fix to this?

Broand, please provider more info. What is your OS, have you been able to install these before patching, are you using any mods, have you edited your addins or manifest xml files, what is the specific error message you are received, what is the patch number that you are using, do you have Awakenings installed, are you logged into the game?



The DLC should be compatible with all updates/patches as it only requires atleast version 1.0.

I just bought the game yesterday. installed it, bought wardens keep with bioware points. Used my redeem code for Shale. They are both at 100% downloaded however they wont install. In the right pane, it says requires game version 1.0. I am also running vista as my OS.

When you first load the game at the lower left hand corner I believe it says what version you are using. You can also right click on the DAO exe, look at the properties, then files and look for product version #

Yes I did this, when I clicked the final transaction button (purchase?) It just sucked the points off of my balance, never asked for any account verification, and gave no option to download. I was recently given the impression that once you cliked the final transaction button and the points are taken you return to the available content/download tab in the game and download should procede autoamtically. That does'nt happen. I just get a zero balance again and no option to download the content that is diplayed as being available. I have tried clearing the download cache but I'm not sure if clicking the button is actually doing anything (there is no feedback after I clik it.)

Pc Version.
Windows7 64
Having same issue DAO Exe file number is # 1.09353.0 also version 1.3.
Any clue why code accepted  and comfirmed yet no trace to be found or no intructions promo
ted. Games Also isbrand new.

First up register your game.



Once you're registered you can see what you should be able to download on the entitlements page.



You download content in the game not off this site. If you're having issues check out the FAQ. 99% of the time you will find the answer in there.

Your kidding me lol to see the content possibily now have to register the game;)?
Game is registered nothing shows up on any pages or in games and when i go to try to enter the code again it tell me the code has been used.

Liriel, If nothing is showing up in the game under downloadable content, the first step is to make sure that the Dragon Age Content Update service is running.  Try giving it a manual kickstart before you start the game:
1.) Press the windows key + R (or click Start and then RUN) and type in services.msc and press ENTER
2.) Locate the Dragon Age: Origins - Content Update in the list of services.
3.) Right click it and select START

If that doesn't solve the problem there is more advanced troubleshooting in the Redeemed DLC Troubleshooting FAQ.

This usually points to an installation problem, that unfortunately the game does not message properly, and implies that there is a version incompatibility when there isn't.  As long as you have a higher version then the DLC requires then the version is fine.

To resolve your installation problems:
* Clear the Download Cache.  From the game launcher select "Configure", then when the configuration utility launches go to Repair, and click on "Clear Download Cache".
* Delete the My Documents\\Bioware\\Dragon Age\\Settings\\Manifest.xml file.  It might also be necessary to delete the Addins.xml file in the same directory, but that will effectively uninstall all DLC and addons (including Awakenings), and they would all need to be reinstalled.
* Make sure your My Documents directory is located on the C: drive.  Right click on USERNAME\\My Documents and select Properties.  Go to the location tab, and if the path is not on the C: drive, click on Restore Default to move it back.  You can move it back later after the DLC installs.
* If your Windows Region and Language settings are not set to English (United States) set them to that until the DLC installs.

If none of that works, try manually installing the DLC .  Links and instructions are in section 4 of the Redeemed DLC Troubleshooting FAQ.  Even if the manual installation process fails it will usually give better error messages to help figure out what's going wrong.
