He's just released his fixpack, which fixes over 50 bugs in the game.

It shouldn't cause problems with future patches (obviously he'll review and update this fixpack as and when that happens).

Bioware really should hire him on like he suggests, since apparently they are all far too busy to correct bugs that have, for the most part, existed since release.

We must write here to ensure BioWare's reading this and includes his work into the official patches!
A) Bioware can concentrate on technical problems
Bioware doesn't need to search for bugs, bc apparently their "fixlist" only has major problems, not minor ones.
C) It's far easier to write bugs to Qwinn than it is writing here. Bioware responds only if major bugs occur or if some bug-thread has more posts than 10.
Keep up the good work, Qwinn!

What i really find interesting is the fact that people like to complain in this board about bugs like hell (well, see all the topics), but now that somebody fixes even smaller bugs (which are unlikely ever to be fixed by BioWare!) it's disturbing to see so few people posting here. I know that official patches are important for technical and gameplay issues, but those fixes by Qwinn are really a must have!

It would also really help if its popularity was boosted by every downloader. Some projects don't even have any files yet appear on the very first page.

Bump.
BioWare CLEARLY does NOT have enough employee's assigned to Dragon Age. What is the f'ing deal anyways? Once a product releases it's time to cut the strings or what??? The product is still on the shelves, still selling, DLC is still selling.... Revenue is actively being produced but BioWare, now attached to EA, simply cannot assign resources to provide even a hotfix patch for crashing issues. It seems to me that Dragon Age is GAME OVER and we all might as well stick with 1.02 and try to be happy with it because I'll tell you for damn sure that this product WILL be left behind without most issues having been fixed. EA has proven this time and again. The next product always overtakes current product. ****** poor management.

This fellow deserves a lot more praise, if all these fixes are working properly. Installing now. These are mostly small bugs, and I've only had a handful of these bugs myself (stupid crime wave mostly), but such a long list of fixes is great work indeed!
Edit: Holy crap, this is the same Qwinn who made Qwinn's Planescape:Torment fixpack! Good job yet again.

Serion amakiir,
Maybe so but not unique.
Look at how many other games have unofficial patches made possible by game modders.
Remember Oscuro's Oblivion Overhaul?
Well now Oscuro is with Obsidian Entertainment working on Fallout New Vegas - that should be something to look out for.
So there is every chance that Qwinn could end up working for some game developer.

It's extremely unfortunate that game developers have actually become so lazy that it's up to members of the community to fix the problems with these massively flawed games.
Nonetheless, thanks much for the fix, Qwinn.

Thank you for the fixes. The only thing that worries me is if DA turns into Fallout with all the community patches.

Egosoft once included a modders fix pack into a full release patch in there X series of games and gave the credit to the modder, it would be nice if bioware did the same here - one of the main problems is that if you use any mod is that you lose any 'my game is broken' rights as they then tell you to remove many mods.
That said - I think I might use this mod as it's beginning to look like Bioware are not going to fix the bugs.
Well done Qwinn - and thanks for the hard work.
