game would have been awesome if the actions and dialogues were an half-and-half.
this is a game full of amazing plot. And to resolve some troubles by the use of force that's just make the game really typical and stupid. <_<<_<

No thanks. Let the npc's keep it short and to the point. I want more gameplay, not talking.
The dialogue was more succinct in ME2, despite the fact that there was probably more of it than in the first game. It just felt like less because you weren't loaded with a ton of exposition from characters who only existed just to tell you about the game world (i.e. Tali in ME1 just talking about quarians).
In ME3, I wouldn't like to see more dialogue so much as I'd like to see branching dialogue, such as NPC's responding far differently based on your choices from past games and how you behave towards them. Don't get me wrong, Samara's Loyalty quest was unique and a highlight of the game, and I'd love to see more quests with a lot of investigation/dialogue, but I think it's more important that the NPC's are there to react to your decisions believably.

Even if I like dialoge there must a balance, I do not wish to see the 3 hours rantings as in Metal Gear series.
ME series have a good balance, it long enough without me starting to ask myself if I soon be allowed to PLAY THE GAME:

Thanks for proving my point that shooter fans and RPG fans don't and can't mesh.

It depedns on the dialogue. For example, I liked talking with most DAO characters, with Liara in ME1 (she had too less:crying:) and with characters like Garrus or Thane or Grunt and, especially, Legion, who is one of my favourites. But the dialogue with Miranda, Jacob and a few others really sucks. Want less of that.

Just look at the way Bioware marketed ME2. Shooter fans went into ME1 thinking 'SPLUSHUNS because of the trailer and when they saw the story was the main focus, all hell broke loose on the original forums and thus we got ME2.

Many players simply lack the patience (or long enough attention span) to enjoy longer conversations. Just look at how many people complained about elevators in ME1. I mean, those rides were not THAT long...
I certainly support longer and/or more frequent conversations but singnificant portion of the fanbase will be opposed to this and Bioware will probably bend over backwards (again) to prevent losing these customers.

And to the person saying more gameplay less content, go play halo, this is suppose to be EQUAL parts shooter/RPG so stop asking for unequal set ups!
Eag, if Bioware doesnt do sweepoing changes that include ALOT more RPG elements into ME3, they have already lost far more accounts then gained from the shooter crowd, if you go by whats being said on net!
Easily 3 in 5 players unhappy with the lack of RPG element and 1 in 4 not getting ME3 ubless fixed to include RPG elements.
So really, Bioware has to choose. Earn back over a million subs by making the RPG elements just as important or loss a couple hundread thousand twitch players that dont like having to think in games.
Answer is obvious to me but im not in charge!

Woah! slow down. I like RPg's. And I am most decidedly NOT a fan of first person shooters.
But I like the customization element of RPG'S more than dialouge: leveling up, skill trees, item looting etc.
For me, these are the things that bring me back to a game even more than a great story. For the record, I am currrently playing The Witcher and Divinity 2 and enjoying both.
I realize I am in the minority here, especially on a Bioware site.

Only if its meaningful and interesting. Metal Gear Solid 4 had like 15-25 min cutscenes full of redundant dialogue which made me want to strangle myself.

I would love some more dialogue. I rather have less squad mates in ME3 than shallow dialogues.
And I would prefer more gameplay. Once you have heard the dialouge and know the story...well, there is little reason to see the same cutscene playout time and again. I enjoy experimenting with different classes to see how they handle different situations. Last time I checked, these were part of the RPG experience too. In fact, didn't Gygax and co. model Dungeons and Dragons after strategic military scenarios? Someone correct me if I'm wrong here.
And this might sound condescending, but If I really crave a good story, I read a book. If I want an interactive experience involving strategy - I play a game.

I didn't know that reading a book you can create/manage your own dialogue between characters. <_<slimgrin wrote...

Interesting. Obviously I don't agree. The roots of this game is RPG and that is unlikely to change. Thanks for your thoughts, though.slimgrin wrote...

That matters less to me than creating and managing the character himself. Otherwise the dialouge choices become a cheap parody of a 'choose your own adventure' book. There was a reason those never took off.
