Lets get back on the dialog topic.

Whats the point? MEW3 is not going to be like DAO in length. It's hard to make alot of dialog for a short game.

What's the point of talking about it, or what's the point of Bioware adding dialog in ME3?

Whats the point of complaining about it? ME3 will have more dialog then ME2, bt people will still complain that there is not that much.

Like with ME 2 actually.  If you line em up side by side you'd notice that :P

I would like to see more dialog myself between the squadmates and Shep and more squad banter in ME3.  More banter between the squadmates themselves.  More banter in combat also.  It would also be kinda neat to go walking around the ship and run into a say Jacob and Samara for example, cracking jokes with the chef.
Something like that would be kinda neat in ME3.

I wouldn't mind more squad banter either, as it doesn't interrupt gameplay. I miss that from ME1. And its great in Dragon Age.

To me they are boring and give me a headache.  I am not a hardcore gamer either I suppose.

Alot of PC games are.  Console games are known for streamlining elements.  PC Games are known for throwing a bunch of **** into a system to see if it works.

I still take my pc though.:D

X-Com was brilliant even though I pretty much described it in my post.  But there are other cases that I have found where I have loaded up a PC game and immediately was like FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

This thread is about more dialog in ME3.  The game isn't released yet, so there is nothing to complain about in that aspect of it.  Yes, though there is a lot moaning about ME2.

Thane Krios:  Taking on the Collectors would require going through the Omega 4 relay, no ship has made it back alive.

Realy? BG1+2, KOTOR, Fallout and FF6 had fantastic gameplay and fantastic story. ME was a choir to play because of it's gameplay. Nice try.

To you. I loathed BG 1 and 2 combat and nearly cried because of the gameplay. Hell it was hard to play through it. KOTOR was bland but bearable (mostly due to the abundance of dialogue). Fallout I never played FF6 is a JRPG and thus the gameplay was fine. Story to me was meh.

Nice Try.

Nice try? The games I listed have been cited for there gameplay, and having played them it shows an RPG can have both. ME was cited for it's story and charatcers, but critised for it's gameplay. The game needs solid gameplay, not just a story.

And ME2 was lauded for its gameplay and critizied for its story. The only thing I'm seeing is that there needs to be a better balance.

And BG to me had horrible gameplay. That is individual interpretation. DA for instance had some boring combat too. (Not to mention nearly endless).

And yes the game does need solid gameplay. But not at the determiment of the story which to me is what happened in ME2. But this is mostly individual interpretation.

Criticized by whom? I really wanted to know which reviews heavy criticized ME2's story, besides some of the people here and others around it. Some people say it like it was a huge complaint that everybody shouted of.

Just saying, peopel will complain about ME3 too. Bioware is going to ****** off people with ME3 while some people will love it, look at ME2. Some people hate it, some people love it and perfer it over ME2.

Not ME though.  They both have advantages and disadvantages.  PC has cleaner graphics and Xbox needs an upgrade.  You can mod ME with PC and the performance is better if you have the hardware.

Thane Krios:  Taking on the Collectors would require going through the Omega 4 relay, no ship has made it back alive.

There needs to be a : "I already know this can we go already?!?" dialogue option.

I want squad banter like Jagged Alliance 2 had.  Like in the middle of combat Jacob would be yelling at Thane, or if Garrus got downed Tali would freak out.

But thats not what this discussion is about

I wanted party banter between Tali and Miri, or miri and Jack like Alistair and Morrigan.

I like dialog!
Although I'm not going to lie, asking for more dialog seems like a dangerous thing since ME does all voice acting?
Seems rought on poor BioWare to have to make so much branching dialog and try to keep it all acted out, I would die if ME3 had any lines that didn't get spoken (It's part of the games sweetness).
Although I would equally dislike if at any point they said " Please insert dialog disc 3 "
D'oh!

I feel bad for BioWare, they have such great power,
and with great power comes great responsibility :crying:
