Saint, should have read the many threads the only DLC gear that transfers is the gear from Return to Ostagar. thus the Blood Dragon wasn't going to. why it is important to get Cailens Armour.

Yeah, i know that now. But at the time you just want to get into a new game. If you have to read through all kinds of threads before jumping onto a game, it kind of defeats the object of excitement.

What I can't stand though, is that the armour is gone but the wieght of it is still with you. That's just lazy coding... Anybody got any ideas on how I am supposed to get around this without playing through dragon age origins from the start?

Da Saint:

all non-portable DLC gear gets removed, but their stats remain on your character (this can be exploited in a positive way too)

If you want to start awakenings 'vanilla' just;

load your last save (the one you imported into awakenings), remove the armour, make a new save import this one into awakenings.

There is an 'advanced load'-ish option where you can choose a specific save.
