Im starting a new game and would like to use the face from my first save's character. Since there is no option for this in the character creator. How do I go about
doing this?

If you want to use the exact same face, it's possible. If you want to alter it, you have to start from scratch.
You need to open both savegames (new and old character) from the toolset. Go in SAVEGAME_PLAYERCHAr -> SAVEGAME_PLAYERCHAR_CHAR -> SAVEGAME_PLAYER_MORPH (near the bottom) and copy the value from the old file to the new.

What the... how did you... wait... how could you... ??
I don't get it.
when you click on the empty field there should be a "..." button on the right, can you click on that and confirm that there is nothing in there ?
If there is really nothing, would you mind uploading that file somewhere ? I'd be curious to take a look at it. ^^'

Hmm... I just tried this with a Female Cousland, and the game crashed upon loading. I copied the old value into the new. Didn't delete either, and saved both.
Anyone have a clue as to why this is?

Just use the DA face replacer mod. You can extract the mor from your old save and put it in your new one.

If i use this "toolset" will my gameplay be interfered with in any way? I feel like using mods or whatever is like cheating the game so like using the toolset to use my old face on a new char is just that right? It's just using the codes to get the exact features? im new to this so sorry

Well, you won't be using the toolset to replace the faces. You can use the toolset to create a new look, and then take that look and exchange it with a save game, or use it for an entirely new game. The toolset will have no effect on your gameplay in this instance and is simply a medium for creating a new look for your character. As well, any mods used to alter a characters looks should not affect your gameplay.
To exchange faces, you can use the face replacer mod, as mentioned above, and that should not affect gameplay.
