As I mentioned in my first reply, that forum has now become the Gameplay and Gameplay Mechanics forum. Even the moderator stickies at the top are non-character related.

I've seen people try to start character support threads there, but they either get ignored or chased out by people who don't want to see character-related fanart or fanfiction.

So Ecael i get your point. However here is BioWare's own description of Characters, classes and Builds sub-forum:
Share your stories, artwork, music, web
sites or other creative works inspired by Mass Effect 2. Game
registration is required to post in this forum, but all visitors may
read.

And here is their description of this sub-forum:
This forum is for Mass Effect 2 fans to discuss the game's storyline and quests.

Pretty clear to me that the Character forum was intented to be the place for fan-fic, fan-pics, and character support threads. If the sub-fourm purposes have changed then they should change the descriptions to reflect that. I mean if it is going to be a free-for-all why even have sub-fourms.

Christina Norman essentially uses it for gameplay feedback and balance tweaking at this point. No one would want the support threads to end up in that forum.

Collider's suggestion is the best one -- split that forum so that there is a separate forum for Characters.

The mods wouldn't dare lock the larger support threads out of fear of retaliation (pun intended?). I'd like it if they locked the duplicate support threads that get bumped up every once in a while; Zaeed alone has 3 or 4 of them.

Post the link to other support threads that need blocking when you can. I'll maintain the list.

It's harder to find and browse the group forums, though. Having the support threads organized in another subforum by itself would make it easily accessible to anyone who wants to join the discussion.

I'd be cool with making a sub-forum. The story threads do really get overwhelmed. I don't necessarily see it as a bad thing, but it does kind of miss the point.

You'd have to block practically everything in the BioWare forum while making the character support threads an exception in AdBlock, but it could work.

Then again, why would you need to block the other threads? All the main support threads are already on the front page.
