Thats the solution, they need to hire at least a couple more moderators if they want to go forth with this idea.Ecael wrote...
The forum needs more moderators, if anything.Mr.BlazenGlazen wrote...
Makes sense...but probably the only reason they haven't done this yet is because of the lack of moderators controlling each forum. Yeah now this board and the character board is being watched but if you add in one more board it might be chaos for the moderators.
(No offense to the ones lurking in each forum now!)

That is not a new suggestion though, Ecael has been saying that we should move them to their own sub-forum the whole time.Shavon wrote...
I've been on a couple of different gaming forums now, and this forum seems to be one of the more organized. I don;t think they will get it perfect, Ecael. I know it may still feel a bit cluttered, but this site is a helluva lot better than the other sites I visit.
Just putting that out there. Give each suggestion of yours time, before making new ones.
*sigh* The point is, they just made a change. Let it sit for a few days before making a new one. That was the point.

It doesn't really, it just moves the problem. I never did like the suggestion to simply move the threads from one forum to another.Mr.BlazenGlazen wrote...
dun worreh ecael i'm not insulting you. So you have nothing against character support threads, and you want to create a subforum for the threads. But they've been moved to the Characters thread. Shouldn't that pretty much fix the problem?
And before anyone starts, I don't have a problem with discussing characters. I have a problem with signal-to-noise.
And before anyone starts on that, I'm not saying character threads are just noise or incapable of thought-provoking content.

I'm still confused as to why Chris moved it to the other forum exactly 4 months after the release of Mass Effect 2, though. Did he explain the reason in any of the threads?Shavon wrote...

@ Ecael, that is what I don't get, either. Chris never mentionend anything, that I am aware of, but it's strange it took this long to notice that all of the character support threads were in the wrong forum. IMO.

I'm wondering how long it would take to get a new sub-forum, not that I personally think it's necessary, but I am still curious.

QFT.
I don't know what architecture this forum uses, but I mod another site's offical forums and if we need a new subforum it's created in a matter of hours not a matter of weeks.

People were doing that even in January. I even had a thread demanding that FemShepard be made a squadmate for when I play my Renegade MaleShep.TelexFerra wrote...
I think he started to realize it when people were making fan threads for people that aren't even squad mates, such as Udina and Anderson.

I suppose its not a big tragedy considering that forum has been dull for a while now. Still, it was the forum I frequented the most.

That further supports the idea of a separate character forum. It would be beneficial for everyone.Atmosfear3 wrote...
