Makes sense...but probably the only reason they haven't done this yet is because of the lack of moderators controlling each forum. Yeah now this board and the character board is being watched but if you add in one more board it might be chaos for the moderators.

The forum needs more moderators, if anything.

Thats the solution, they need to hire at least a couple more moderators if they want to go forth with this idea.

It doesn't really, it just moves the problem. I never did like the suggestion to simply move the threads from one forum to another.

And before anyone starts, I don't have a problem with discussing characters. I have a problem with signal-to-noise.

And before anyone starts on that, I'm not saying character threads are just noise or incapable of thought-provoking content.

That is not a new suggestion though, Ecael has been saying that we should move them to their own sub-forum the whole time.

I'm still confused as to why Chris moved it to the other forum exactly 4 months after the release of Mass Effect 2, though. Did he explain the reason in any of the threads?

nope, he just said that he decided to move all of the character support threads, and apparantely he unlocked and unpermabanned the tali thread. Things are getting a little out of wack as of late.

I think he started to realize it when people were making fan threads for people that aren't even squad mates, such as Udina and Anderson.

I don't know what architecture this forum uses, but I mod another site's offical forums and if we need a new subforum it's created in a matter of hours not a matter of weeks.

People were doing that even in January. I even had a thread demanding that FemShepard be made a squadmate for when I play my Renegade MaleShep.

That further supports the idea of a separate character forum. It would be beneficial for everyone.
