Hi, just started DA and I am afraid a bug corrupted my game.

I thought I gained the blood mage specialization by trading with Connor's demon, but the next time I leveled up, all the specialization options were still locked.

Between unlocking blood mage specialization and leveling up I had some weird freeze-up. The game froze and after reboot constantly froze during opening credits. After playing another game, Dragon Age started working again but all audio/subtitle options were reseted and the game showed all help tips again, "press left trigger to open radial menu", although I had seen them all already.

I am guessing that either the bug that reseted settings wiped out my blood mage specialization too, or I need to do something more to get access to blood magic.

So all I need to know is that should I be able to spend specialization point on blood magic after making deal with the Connor's Demon? If yes, my game's corrupted and I need to load earlier save, if not I have completely misunderstood specialization options.

The Blood Mage specialization should be available to you when you reach level 7. Are you there yet?

I was 8 when dealing with demon and no specialization was available when I reached level 9 after making the deal.

Update: I did have one earlier save at Redcliffe. I loaded that and although game still showed the beginner help tips I mentioned earlier, I was able to get the blood mage specialization after leveling up.
