This is the ME2 forum... so obviously people like the game enough to be here, but sometimes it becomes easy to forget given the complaining that can occur.  With the fact that no game is perfect in mind, I was wondering how people rank ME2 compared to other Xbox 360 games.  Feel free to give a Top 5 with comments if desired...

1. ME2: Never played a single game this much...ever.  Every time I beat it, I want to turn around and play again.

2. Forza 3: Car porn, plain and simple.  Inclusion of Porsche makes it better than any of the GT games.

3. Fallout 3: Great game, bad ending, gold standard DLC expansions.

4. ME1: This could easily be tied for 3rd as the central storyline/core of the game is so good.  Side missions lack replayability (being a completionist was tough at times due to repetition).

5. Assassins Creed 2: I enjoyed AC1, and AC2 was all of that and so much more.  Huge improvment in every way over the original.  Stabbing was never so much fun.

They fixed the Fallout 3 ending, it's not bad any more.

1) ME2: I don't know if I am still in a high about having this game, but I can not put it down. The combat and characters are amazing. I love that I can play it without pausing. Just a far more polished game than ME.

2) ME: My 2nd favorite RPG ever. 40+ playthroughs

3) NBA 2k9: With the right slider adjustments and you have almost a perfect SIM bball game

4) MLB 2k8: Again, with the legwork and slider adjustments and this game can a brilliant SIM. Baseball my favorite sport, but this game takes a lot of work to be fun.

5) Fall out 3: The environment was great and there was so much to do.

Broken Steel did "fix" the ending... but I found the standard game ending... meh.

Still, the game was great in so many other ways (Chinese stealth armour and a gauss rifle = ME2 infiltrator)

1. ME2: Umm, duh.

2. COD4: Online gaming perfection.

3. Halo 3: Game's just ok, but it has one of the best communities.

4. BFBC2: Who doesn't like to blow up a building with a tank and watch as the entire enemy team dies in the ruble.

5. ME: The best true RPG on the 360.

If you look on my profile on www.xbox.com you would realize that you are asking for a gigantic list of comparisons that would take me hours to compile.

1. The Orange Box- The sheer variety and quality of each of the games is remarkable, and Team Fortress 2 more than makes up as the Multiplayer fragment of them.

2. Mass Effect 2- The combat mechanics may be overrefined in places, but I find myself constantly returning to it.

3. Bad Company 2- As Multiplayer based games go, Bad Company 2 sets the bar for large scale, epic games, and an incredible destruction system.

4. Oblivion- For the scope of the open world and amount of options for your character.

5. Halo 3- It's an overhyped game full of prepubescent children everywhere, but the developer to community cohesion is unmatched.

Mass Effect is my favorite 360 game, but it is not my favorite game. Advent Rising on the original xbox is still my favorite game...but that's another discussion...as for 360 games...

Gotta go...

1. ME1-Game opened my mind to what a game could be...

2. ME2- played it even more than ME1, but I still prefer original.

3. Halo3- for obvious reasons

4. Dark Sector- trully underrated game

5. Dead Space-pleasant surprise that has potential to be new standard for survival horror...

1. Mass Effect 1 - My first RPG, I've played it countless times and love it.

2. GhostBusters - A childhood dream come true.

3. Kameo - Rareware's last good game since the orginal Perfect Dark on N64.

4. Mass Effect 2 - Good game, but not as replayable as Mass Effect 1, it bit too lineaer. Also the new game + didn't* help either. Five playthroughs later I refuse* to play again. I refuse to collect every weapon and ship upgrade again and mine planets again.

5. Resident Evil 5 - I wasn't a fan of Resident Evil 4, I prefer the older real Resident Evil games that were based on survival horror, which were Resident Evil 1,2,3, and Code Venonica( I hated RE: Zero). The only reason I consider this in the top 5 in my 360 collection is because the online mercs, and the fact my fav RE character is in(Jill Valentine).

I agree about the planet mining... that just completely takes away the fun in the game (I hate spending like 5 or 6 hours mining planets).

Why?  I mean why would you spend so long doing that?  I haven't done planet mining since my first playthrough :P

(with the exception of for instance checking out Zoyra and Jacob's recruitment mission since you have to scan those)

Funny thing ya know, 360 has no really good true exclusives. ME2 is on 360 AND PC. ME best RPG on 360? yeah, Lost odyssey was damn good.

Anyway, I'm not going to do compare 5, I'm going to compare 20!

1) ME 2: + Gameplay, Length, VA, Content, +Visuals, +Interaction, +Immersion when it works, +Polish
                    Music, sound design
                - Pacing, -Immersion breaking, -Science Fiction issues, Feel issues (no armor for squadmates),                                  Grinding(Planet scanning)
= Disconnect (Planet Scanning, Loading screens, think early 80's  late90'spresentation),                                                    Character models

2) Fallout 3 + Open World, Dynamic Gameplay, Length, Immersion, Quest Structure, DLC
                      - Pacing, Character Models, VA, Storyline
                     = Level scaling seems off

3) Left 4 Dead + Pacing, Co-OP interaction, Intensity, Gameplay Balance
                           -  Content, Single player bots
= DLC on Xbox costs money on PC doesnt.  Know why but is still strange

4) Halo 3         + Multiplayer, Multiplayer Content, Forge, Gameplay balance, Weapon feel, Co-op campaign,
                              Unlockable options for Single Player
                           - Storyline, Campaign, VA (specifically VA recasting FU Bungie), Graphics, Feel of game

5) Call of Duty 4  +Pacing, Intensity, unlockable obtions for Single Player, Story presentation
                                - Multiplayer setup, Difficulty scaling, static backgrounds
= Another use of Disconnect (but in a way that is a plus)

6)  Mass Effect   + VA, late game intensity, Customization, Immersion
                                 Music, Sound Design
                              - Stability, Gameplay Feel (not same as SciFi feel as I mentioned in ME 2), Pacing
Character Models, some customization systems, inventory system & loot
Gameplay diversions do not help pacing, sidequest implementation, DLC implementation
= Disconnect (Worlds of open terrain remind me of old mech games and Delta Force
                                  as well as Tribes)

7) Pac Man CE  +Gameplay, scaling intensity, dynamic boards, visuals
                              - Only a few boards, no infinite mode

8) Far Cry 2        + Immersion, Content, Feel, scope, setting & Graphical detail
                             - Plot, bugs and gameplay design issues, scope is a hindrance
= Pulls off a first person Elder Scrolls better than Fallout 3 (in a way)

9) Gears of War +Pacing, Co-op content, Gameplay, Visuals, Weapon Feel, Single player campaign
                              -Gameplay content, Storyline, Multiplayer
=Immersive for the most part but deals with specific immersion breakers at random times

10) Oblivion        +Content, interface, DLC, Quest structure
                              - Content limitations from previous games, Storyline/main quest, VA, Models

11) Fable 2         +Content, gameplay feel, scope, plot twist
-Lack of immersion, annoying gimmicks, gameplay rules that hamper the experience
                                Character models, VA

12) Condemned +Atmosphere, Immersion, Storyline, Gameplay mechanics, VA
                               - Gameplay ends up repitive, repetitive environments

13) R6 Vegas 2  +Gameplay, customization, multiplayer balance, game mods, content, Co-op
                               -VA, Storyline

14) Beautiful Katamari +Gameplay premise, eccentricity, scope, gameplay goals
-Graphics, lack of VA, Controls, gameplay balance issues

15) Perfect Dark Zero +Content, multiplayer content
-Graphics, VA, storyline, Gameplay, Controls, Character Models, pacing

16) Too Human +Presentation, Gameplay Ideas, storyline ideas, player models, VA
-Controls, level scaling, level design, story implimentation, interface

17)  EDF 2017 +Content, Gameplay
-Level design, VA, Graphics, too much content, physics

18)  Resident Evil 5 +Content, Graphics, Sound design, level design
                                     -Controls, pacing, storyline

19)  Dragon Age  +Content, customization, VA, scope, sound design
                                -Polish, pacing, Models, Graphics

20)  Bioshock   +Storyline, Atmosphere, Gameplay, Immersion, VA, Sound design, Music
-Pacing, overstays its welcome, storyline falters, gameplay doesn't hold up for duration

Ok, I kind of got lazy after awhile.  I could go on for 146 more games but I won't.  Also this list definately isn't in order, I absolutately hate Perfect Dark Zero and I would put DA, ME and ME 2 in my top five with most likely ME 2 being at the top.

Well the Halo franchise was always Xbox's thing, infact i believe Halo1 made the Xbox, but Halo got a little slopy with their last two game (Halo wars + odst) hopefully Reach will resurect the Halo franchise.
Halo is always the best to play with friends, You know just messin around, and i don't think anyone can argue that.

The DLC the Bethesda bought out will never be beaten. I don't care how free the first lot of ME stuff was. Even the crummy Pit is still better than Zaeed. Bugger guns and armour, the added gameplay they added was massive.

Not yet, waiting for it to go down in price :bandit:

Also haven't played Modern Warfare 2 which in itself seems to be an accomplishment since everyone I see on XBL has that game going.

Well, Bayonetta is awesome ... if you have good skills.

'cos that's a game about dying in 2 hits, and if you can pwn everything then it's a great experience. If you die repeatedly, well, you're just not Japanese enough.

1) Fallout 3- I seriously still play this with well over 300 hours.
2) ME2- Do i have to say why?
3) DA:O- What can I say? Bioware makes some good games
4) CoD: WaW- Much better than MW2, no matter if the world thinks different. best online shooter.
5) BIA: HH- Excellent game and awesome third instalment to my favourite game series, can't wait for whats's next.
6) Dead space- No other game has immersed me more into a certain scenario than this.
7) L4D- Crazy online game which feels like a movie sometimes.
8) Guitar hero: WT- I fell in love with the drums, kinda sad but it's the reason i bought an actual drum set.(Which I love even more)
9) Skate 2- not sure why. It's just fun to play.
10) GTA IV- ... it's GTA IV

I agree, the Show is amazing, but with the slider adjustments I had great experiences with 2k and I like TCP and TCB more than button hitting and pitching.  Believe me, I wish I had a PS3 because the offseason stuff for the Show is outstanding.
