I too have been having the random crashes of DA:O on my Win 7 64bit windows PC like a lot of you. I check the event viewer after every crash and it seems to be a different faulting module every time. Sometimes its the DAOrigins.exe and sometimes its some .dll file. *sigh*
I've tried the EA "support" recommendations and quite a few from these boards, but alas, no luck. I did notice however, that my 1st attempt to update my video drivers didn't work. I rand the Nvidia update driver app, however, the version on my Device Manager (for the Display) didn't change. So, I ran it again.
Currently, for my GTS 250 I have the driver version 8.17.11.9745. Is that the same as the 197.45 nvidia drivers some people here quote that they've installed to fix crashing problems?
What I'm asking is 197.45 the same as 8.17.11.9745? Am I up to date?
