All the Adept videos I've seen always seem to look like they're making do with what the adept has, while vanguard and infiltrator videos make the game look like dificulty wasn't even considered. If I had a quarter for every time there'd be 4+ enemies together but one would wander off by himself in cover when I was a Vanguard...

Asari Shepard at Haestrom
Asari Shepard is an level 22 Vanguard, level 3 shotgun, sniper, smg, tech, biotic, heavy skin and damage reduction upgrades (+extras). She uses Cryo ammunition (all weapons) for some CC effects and Energy Drain to keep her shield up. I tried not to use Charge at all, but couldn't resist to use it a couple of times. One time as an shortcut and the other as an coup de grace.

Very nice to see I've managed to inspire people. Thanks! mi55ter I don't know, I'll try to get Soldier @ dantius towers video done at some point, and I haven't started even thinking about engineer yet... Maybe I'll do a NG+ shotgun-infiltrator video once I finish my infiltrator playthrough, we'll see.

A walk in the Geth park indeed, thats how I prefer to play. To make it look like an easy smooth run - shep's day at the office. Thats why I like both Vanguard and Infiltrator - they can move around quickly and safely (charge and cloak), Soldiers are great for a solo playthrough, but I like ME special abilities too much to trade them for superior firepower + there's always the Collector ship.
I'm looking forward to your Soldier video nonetheless.

Seeing Adept do something like
Horizon would be crazy. Already gave up on the class myself; my adept
found itself magically poof into an infiltrator.
Horizon isn't that hard. I'll give it a shot later this week. I'm guessing you would like to see the last fight(s) - double scions with some husks and the Collectors (the Praetorian is boring). No squadies and HW allowed

I don't really see a need for singularity, so playing the class was a chore. Seeing an adept go to town would be fun, but so far the videos I've seen just reinforce my conclusion that the class has to try harder than everyone else to beat the game.

Why use the cloak at 0:19? No need to. And why use that pistol instead of the Locust? Please explain.
Not sure which video you mean .. as cruc1al's hasn't even started yet at 0:19.
Anyhow, important functions of cloak is so you don't get shot at ('cos when you do cloak, your shields don't recharge during), and the damage bonus it gives you.
Pistol + Tempest > Locust
Pistol does x2 damage vs. armour (if you have the armour piercing upgrade), and can crit (if, again, you have the upgrade).
Tempest does x2 damage vs. shields and barrier (shield piercing upgrade), plus it has one of the highest base damage-per-second values in the game.
So the locust is outclassed vs. barrier, and outclassed vs. armour. Just sayin'
Personally, I use the shuriken. 'cos it doesn't really matter which smg you use, pwnage isn't all that much faster with slightly higher-dps.

I suppose you mean the Infiltrator on Horizon video.
I used the cloak at 0:19 for the damage boost. That way, I could take down the Guardian with the second shot without a cloak. It's better to use the cloak on the first shot to start the cooldown earlier.
As for not using Locust, it does about the same base damage per clip and DPS as shuriken at point blank range, but thing is, shuriken has a higher multiplier against barrier. I admit that I didn't think about it, I just chose Shuriken because I knew it was adequate for the job. But if I had thought about it, I would've chosen shuriken anyway for the above reason.

They have different utilities. Tempest up close, Locust if you don't use SMG up close. That's because Tempest deals 700 base damage with a single clip, Locust only 500.

Tempest does more damage and you really don't need the locust if you have an AR. Of course you don't need the tempest if you have a shotgun either, but I don't think we're talking about a soldier.

You should at least pick it up. For NG+ it's nice to have and squad mates don't have accuracy issues so squaddies are better, in my experience, with the Tempest over the Locust.

There are enough armored bosses at every mission in the game.Of course you could advise your squadmates to use heavy pistols then, but i dont bother with this when i got the locust, that is the only smg that has a bonus against armor. Told them to use "uneffective" powers and force them to use good cover is annoying enough.
I still dont know really why i had to advise for example mordin to use incinerate on shielded enemies when all enemy techs did this to me.

You need to mod coalesced.ini. If you're familiar with how to go about editing it, you need to find the [SFXGame.BioSFHandler_PartySelection] section, and under that, the line "InSquad[insert-team-member]". Replace that line for two available squad mates with a dummy entry (for example, InSquadGarrus could be replaced by anything that isn't InSquadGarrus). When you select two edited squaddies for a mission, they won't show up.
How does that affect cutscenes or the comments made by squadmates during missions? Will I witness voices coming out of nowhere?

On most missions, you won't hear any squadmate dialogue. The only mission I can think of where you do hear is the Collector ship, but only a couple of lines. Also, some parts of the game are bugged if you don't have squadmates; some dialogue or a cutscene may be skipped altogether; in some parts you cant continue without saving and loading, and some parts require you to edit your savegame to have at least one squadmate with you, so that dialogue will be triggered and you can continue.

Sounds like too much fuss tbh. Just send your squaddies ahead of you to stand in the open. You'll be on your own soon enough.
Nah, you'd have to do that before every single fight, and they'd manage to do some damage for you. It'd be a pain, IMO; much, much easier to just mod the game. There are only a couple of instances where you have to go back and edit something.

Horizon was really easy with an Adept (didn't thought it would be). It takes more time to complete the last battle with an Adept than an entire run with a Vanguard, Infiltrator or Soldier, but its fun.
Asari Shepard at Horizon
Lvl 13 with no upgrades worth mentioning, lvl 1 SMG, HP and Biotic Damage.
The double Scion fight requires patience. First you gotta deal with the husks, they're easy to kill, but you have to know where the two Scions are all the time. There two corners where you can get out of sight (Scions won't use shockwave if they can't see ya). With the Husks out of the way the painstaking 'wear down the Scions' begins. I managed to get them close together so I could use Singularity to keep them at bay and shoot them. Ammo was a problem though, so I switched to Warp to finish the job.
The Collectors are pretty easy, just use cover and take them down.

After beating the Collectors at Horizon nothing happened, no Praetorian. I think this is one of those occasions when squadies are needed. <_<
