I changed the lips to look more....to my liking. Then I went back and actually made a customized eyebrow structure. Then I changed the skin color a bit.

First version is on left. New version is on right. It subsequently made her look a bit meaner...ha ha.

The one on the right feels like there's more character to her, but this could honestly be just difference in the head tilt influencing things here

Would it be possible to choose a different location so that we can see the eyes, nose, and mouth a bit more clearly. The lighting from Dragon Age Awakening isn't exactly the best for making character decisions.

I get the impression that my explanation didn't cut it. it was a new prototype format for explanation of the typing of the BBCode for what ya seemed to want. A pal of mine, melkathi, does a better job of explaining stuff like this here.



Petehog: I think the Eye Width still needs to come in still a bit more. & what the buggers is a 'double Eyelid'? I've heard of it before, but don't know a thing about it. I don't see any Eyelid difference between the Example Asian gals, & other People Pics i've seen before.



drewj1988: #1 looks ok, except for an overwide Nose Bridge, #2 looks good... But... Have I seen her before...? & in who's Post...? #3 will be spiffy once the Jaw &/or Cheeks are narrowed a bit.



Overall, i'm gonna put my vote on #2's Face + #2's or #3's Hair.

It refers to so-called epicanthic fold which is rather common feature for East Asians and results in less prominent crease on the upper eyelid. Compare the images:

I think for now...... I will come back to it in about 2 days. I find that I can get a better feel for what works and what to fix when I come back to it later. Looking at the same face begins to confuse me.

Petehog: Funny ya should mention that! It tends to take no less than 2 days minimum for me to get feedback on my Design & plan my next move, when I don't get stuck. I agree with that strategy, I do that for other stuff too, including sometimes for double-checking the coherentness of my Posts if they're kinda large, & therefore error vulnerable.

Vashidan V2.0:



Softened the 'bulge' of the Nose Bridge, raised the Eye Height & did what I could with the Eye area, this is as good as it seems to get & it's correctly serious in look, modified the jaw, Chin, & Cheek settings, reduced Eye Size a bit, trying out a new Eye Texture, trying another idea for the Forehead, & trying out a differnt idea on the Cheekbones.

In mid-build, I also took Screenies of the 'Eye Problem' that the Qunari Morph is suffering from:


It might not be easy to see, so this one highlights the trouble area:


This one was took when I was a large way through done with the build, & I had finished my tweaking of the Eye area. I think the Eyes would be ready to go in all respects if it weren't for this 'Eye Problem', this time, it's easy to see without any highlight:

This still irks me, but it doesn't look like there's anything I can do, except having the Brow, & Eyebrow at the lowest setting to 'hide' the problem, but this makes a sad, sorrowful Face, & Qunari don't do 'sorrowful'.

How is Vashidan doing now?

I scrunched the eyes together some more and scrunched the rest of her features too.  I kept the MRH of the old copy just in case.

Is it just me, or is the Toolset 'Eyebrows Back/Forward' Slider bugged? It seems like it's Setting from -0.01 to -1.00 is bugged & non-functional. Those Setting Parameters don't seem to perform any action on the Morph at all.

drewj1988: Between these new Choices, i'm going #2. I'm a sucker for the cute, tomboy look, & #2 did it best, even though that Tattoo looks more Rogue than mage.

I've always liked the tattoo, and my main is a Mage I wanted to use the tat but on my main so I got a tattooed mage lol.

The eyebrow setting isn't bugged but you have to adjust the entire face for the brows to work properly. Try working with small features first and then gradually increase them to see at which point the distortions begin.

@Axelkix   First I had to figure out what "effeminate" means - ( is still giggling ). I'm always surprised about words I never heard before. 
But well yes -  its maybe not the jaw - He needs all in all a bit more aggressive touch, I think. Even if he is a spoiled, selfish  Dandy. It was far to late yesterday for another change  - so I went to bed.
Damnit - its not easy to create a half-decent Man (  see I a similarity to the real Life here ?? ) 

@drewji Version2 is sweet - but maybe lighten the Tattoo a little bit ? If you wish to keep it ?
I agree with Tyrax  - the tat looks more rogue-ish. But all is a matter of taste  

@Petehog My favorite is a mix out of both. Keep the cute nose and  the very good mouth ( round and full ) of Nr. 2 and add the  scrunched eyes to it.

@Tyrax - this looks indeed  strange. Like two styles blend in each other or so...maybe there collides a base texture with another mod ? BTW - Vashidan V2 looks pretty good    

@SeraphynAngel Ariana is very very cute - don't be jealous of Toolset. My toolset is finally running since a couple of days and its highly addicting. But before I made a lot of Characters only with CC - you proof again it is possible to make wonderful designs with

Petehog: If this is for normal Morphs, then that's gonna be a snotrag, but i'll see what I can do on my next Anri go. If this is for Vashidan, I still think it's a Qunari Morph Design Flaw.

The info about the 'Styles Blend' is interesting... Since he's gonna be a 1/2 breed, I wonder if this works awesomely in his favor...? Oh, i'm interested in how the Eye Texture change works on him as well.

Relshar: I know how ya feel. I'm sure ya've been seeing all my floundering around. We're lucky to have a cool community here! Anri's gotten so much help, that she almost feels like a Community Project now! Dang, I shudder at the thought of what it woulda been like trying to Toolset alone...

If only I had been a tad quicker, I coulda Paused to spin the Camera around for a better view... But it took everything I had to get this Screenie as close as I did. This is still kinda cool though, the sorry sod I head lopped was an Arcane Horror!

The Robe was sold less than 2 minutes after donning this Armor. I wish I coulda burned it... & the Mage Hoods are worse... (The ones i've seen thus far. The only decent one i've seen was in a Screenie in this Thread, it looked ok, but seriously uniformish & overformal. It at least would work on formal & mature Characters... maybe.)

His 'Helm Eyes' aren't nearly as scary as Ghoulia's... Pfft! Some Tank he is!

Salona is joyful that she completely utterly escaped ever having to touch any Mage Hood, ever! On the other hand, now that she's in Massive Armor, Alistair might have trouble keeping enemies's attention off her for awhile... So it's a good thing she's packing some Steel now!


I have a feeling that her Ankles & Feet are gonna be killing her by the end of the Journey...
