Yeah, I'm getting really confused.

I think out of all the designs on the toolset, these designs have been the most challenging. It's like...freaking impossible to design an Asian girl on this thing.

Sigh.

But.....

I feel like I'm so close...to finding a workaround....

If nothing helps try the tip I got from Petehog after my Toolset refuses to work anymore. After this the TS worked fine again.

""Go to "My Documents==> Bioware==>Dragon Age==>Toolset==. 
and then delete "Layouts3" 
it should reset everything back.""

Petehog: Lol, actually, 'Vashidan' is what it always sounds to me like Sten is saying when removed from party as well! That's how I got the idea for the name... I can't help but to wonder what 'Vashidan' is Qunari for! It might be appropriate for a 1/2 breed. It's the kinda thing a 1/2 breed could get stuck with, that could make him have to get tough & durable, or else!

Consider saving all of your Toolset Characters to a USB Flash Drive periodically, in case of such Crashes. I just performed my last routine maintenance just last night. It also might be worth a try to Restore the Computer to an earlier Checkpoint before the Crash. If ya do this, backup your entire BioWare Folder as well, & other DA:O File valuables to a USB Flash Drive as well beforehand.

Or you could look at this Image I found:


a) Asian eye with single eyelid, no crease.
Asian eyelid with crease.
c) Asian eyelid with broken or non-continuous crease.
d) Asian eyelid with partial crease.
e) Asian eye with multiple eyelid creases.
f) Asian eyelid with nasally tapered crease and some widening on the outer end.
g) Asian eyelid with parallel crease.
h) Typical caucasian eyelid crease (semi-lunar).

I'm Chinese and the one's I've mostly seen are A and F. I myself have F and when my eyes are puffy I sometimes have E or G. Just thought I give my opinion here.

Well, I have kept saying I was going to do some more morphs, and throw some more stuff out there, but I just can't seem to bring myself to do it. It's not that I don't have ideas, and don't want to share, I just lost the drive to do it. Now, this doesn't mean I am done with creating for DA though. I am in the middle of figuring out the ins and outs of making classes and specializations.



Hopefully in the next few days, I'll have some stuff out on the nexus.



In the meantime...Riena, my Warden Commander...looking good in the helmet...

@Caladhiel: Your character looks like she can handle some tough business and yet still look 'feminine', y'know? When I try, she somehow manages to come off butch. Very nicely done!

@LadyAly: Surprisingly, Ariana did start out as a brunette.


However I changed my mind and picked the silver/grey color because I always loved the platinum haired characters you always seem to find in fantasy genres. (Sephiroth, anyone?) Also, it made her seem more striking.

@Wyldsong: Your GW Riena does look very good in a helmet! Love how the tatoo draws attention to the eyes.

@Everyone: Thank goodness I wasn't the only one that noticed the Coussland's ADD tendencies.

This is my city elf, Aretha, putting on her most caring face for the humans at the Chantry in Redcliffe. This was one of the few shots of her I could find where she wasn't chopping up someone, or just being covered in blood in general. 
I've not got access to the toolset, so always had to make due with the character creation things, so I do envy all the people here that can make all the shiny creations there. Ah well.

Think my next character will be something more... girly. Hm.

Freya looks amazing with the lipstick change. I would actually like to suggest that you try LOTC s Default Eye Texture too ^^
I think George looked best int he first version, however - I would widen his chin a bit.

She looks like a delicate doll!  I'd suggest widening the tip and bridge of the nose actually :3

You seem to be able to judge anatomy good when looking at other people's morphs, also listen to LadyAly and do whatever YOU feel is right.
On Vashidan it seems to me like you have Brow down, Eyebrow up, and eyes up... so that they clash and the skin becomes dragged out. I would lower the eyes (they should be roughly in the middle of the whole head, right between the top of the head and the chin)

I like the first version the most. The slight smile and the overall look of the face was so much more "alive". The second version was very good too, more asian indeed. The more you tweak her, the more you lose of the original which was amazing. Be careful

@Virus - Thanks=) Riena will always be my number 1 DA girl. As for your Asians, true, they may not have the pureblood look, but I think you have definitely captured and asian feel with them. I dig them quite a bit, but you already know I've always dug your work=)



@Seraphyn - Thanks. Something about the eyes in combination with the facial structure just seem to make the character work. As for Ariana, I think the hair color change makes her stand out quite a bit. It's funny how one little thing can change the entire look and feel of a toon. Good stuff.

@ VirusCat, thank you very much. :> I was going for a bit severe look for her, but still trying to keep her somewhat pretty, I'm happy about how she turned out at least. Huge lips, that I tend to make on almost all of my characters, must be because my own are so small and thin. Ah well. :>

LadyAly: I don't remember the earlier morphs of George, but I've liked him less and less with each revision.



Petehog: if you haven't played it when you get this, I think it's very much worth the $7. still want to know the morph names etc for possible future plays of it.
