HELLLPPP!

I am working on my first Dwarf.. he's a Noble warrior.. so far I do like him but,

I can't get his beard to fit! It looks like he's eating his mustache . the toolset will not let me lower his mouth..

if I do and then put the beard on.. up his mouth goes.. what gives..







I know he needs more work besides the beard issue

@mochen - I say go for it, if you want to! Your characters have such a natural beauty to them, I'm quite taken with them!

I was going to post another character to try and get some feedback, but decided I didn't like her and scrapped it. Then tried making an elf...then scrapped THAT.  D: Hopefully I'll get another design up on here by work tomorrow, heh.

You have to set the value of Oghren a bit lower. That will fix the beard problem.

@Tyrax Anri is looking much better, the tattoo is very busy but if you're set on it then that is your perogative to do so. An adjustment I can recommend would be to try and balance her lips out a bit more, either expand the top part or draw up the bottom. Don't be too hard on yourself though it takes time and it's almost a constant cycle of revisions, I've redesigned characters many times over. My Spirit Healer Ama is probably the result of nearly 30 versions and 4 total redesigns, experience with the sliders leads you to develop more advanced methods of facial shape generation.

@Mochen If you want to I say release them as .mor files. In that state you retain control over your work but allow others to enjoy it as well. I released a few of my designs a while ago as presets, and dispite the constant requests for the actual morphs I didn't find it too bad overall. I think one time somebody ripped off my entire mod right down to how I did my pictures but they got banned before I even really knew what was going on. Even for a relatively limited designer like myself (all my characters are female!) I've got over 600 downloads. If you wanted to release your characters I'm sure they'd find an appreciative audience.

@Petehog I would say Version D is the better option. Sketch is a quite unassuming person, a nervous mage without anywhere else to go. He should very much retain a sort of neutral appearance without appearing overly masculine.

As for your Leliana morph, honestly I wouldn't bother myself. She's only a few years younger in the DLC and I used your version 11 SA Leliana in the DLC and she worked just fine. I can see an alternate hairstyle version, the one you picked would work quite well but facial geometry changes are risking it since she's still Leliana at the end of the day.

@DrewJ Your characters looks good, in general I'd warn against over complication of faces. It can be hard to balance agressive scars and elaborate tattoos, since they tend to really catch the eye. This can work to your advantage and disadvantage, personally I think the more simplistic designs I saw earlier for Sangaril were superior to the current direction you've taken her in. I thought the more harried look with the hair over her eyes, suited your mage better than the chasind-morrigan-witch look of her latest version. There's an old saying that in order for great art to be made it takes two people, an artist and a person to knock him out when it's done. That's not to say the new version is bad, but she already was fantastic and I don't know if I like the new one as much.

Leonie looks well done, an older bard from Orlais I'd say. As for Elissa I need a better shot of her face, I think she looks good but I can't really get a clear view. Your males look great, but I can't in good conscience give you advice since I don't think I'm any good at male characters.

The second one has to be one of my favorites, yet I can't ever get it to work with any of my faces! D: I dunno if it will work in this case though.
I'm also thinking about lowering the brows a bit, to make her look more stern/determined/angsty!

I like the dwarf rendition you've made. It's well done.

In my opinion, dwarf males are the most difficult race to redesign. I haven't been able to design them with ease. I just hate that it resets the cheeks, mouth and jaw when I put a beard on a male dwarf.

I like the look of Duran. He has a unique look to him and he doesn't look like any male dwarves I've seen so far.

Regarding Alim, he looks cool. Facial hair is a double-edged sword. It makes the design look more unique and makes them more aggressive. But it gets the disdain of those who are into lore.

@ Noir, Christie looks very good, I love her eyes, she looks very confident.

@Zeleen, I think your dwarves are very well made, I love Vorand, I'm a sucker for a well groomed dwarf, hah. Loryck looks quite the ladies man, and a bit.. trustworthy. Your elf looks good as well, and yes, I can very well believe it took you hours to get that far, males are hard to make. :<

@sailorsaturnz, she looks very lovely, I think she looks good in both hairstyles, but the long one is a bit more unique.

@drewj1988, some nice designs there, but I think my favorite among the bunch is Duran, a different take on a male dwarf, and well made.


I tried to make me a human gal last night, something I rarely do, it makes me hate the character creation screen quite a bit most of the time. 
I ended up getting heavily inspired by a character from ''the Wheel of Time'' series, Berelain, a quite awesome noble woman, at least I think she is. 
Personally I'm quite happy about how she turned out, especially since I normally don't make humans.

I like her features, but the very dark eye make up draws too much intention. I would lighten that a little bit

@ LadyAly, hm yes, I supposed Annabel does have somewhat misty eyes in those shots, they're not though, more, golden'ish. She looks the part of fragile and vulnerable, but she's more unstable than Aretha ever was. I blame the taint, it got to her brain before she got cured. <.<

As for Berelain, It's more the light that makes it look that dark, and seeing as I don't have the toolset, I can't go about changing things after it's made, and I've already gotten somewhat far into the game with her.
