Not me, I hate playing RPG's as a human character. I play fantasy games to get away from reality and part of it your allowed to make a character thats not human. Now the player is being forced into playing a human character. This is EA telling BioWare what they want in their games.

Time to get the shotgun  Well, I actually prefer playing as a human, but I also enjoyed the replay value offered by the different origins. As has been mentioned by others already, it almost looks as if they're switching to a Mass Effect/Shepard type set-up.

Yeah, I'm being fairly serious about the plain / boring humans. Partly because all this DA 2 news left a sour taste in my mouth, and because I do feel they are boring. In DA, "we're" the biggest jerks in the room I'd argue, and in almost every game, we don't do anything...terribly unique. we're balanced, that's it.



Maybe it's time for me to shut my arse-hole mouth already.

Oh dear - I just think it has nothing to do with a thread who artists playing around - right ?

One thing I'm adding today is a "neutral gloss" makeup.



Because the problem with the ones I've released before is that you can only go darker in color..but you can't go lighter. This should help folks who are looking to add gloss but felt that the colors were overpowering.

@ LadyAly: Tanya is wonderful! I really like how you used a very glossy lip color and thinned eyebrows. Those two things really help get pull off the "girly-girl" look. I also agree with Mochen that the eye color was a very nice choice as well

P.S. Do I need to make you a "Lady Crabapple" character?

I'm sorry but I gotta ask... what does that have to do with this thread? Perhaps you should make a "redesigned"-thread for showing off your tints and changes? This is, frankly, a character show off... not "I made changes to my mod"-thread.

This is an answer to anyone writing things that are very much off topic. I see new replies in the thread - hoping for new cool designs, but when I check it's only off topic talk more suited for wall-to-wall conversation. I'm just expressing my thought here. If you guys wanna keep going off topic then do it.

And peeps who think it was bad of me to post this, please tell me so in a PM, and don't derail this thread more with such things.

My general feeling about the designs are positive tho, you guys are AMAZING creators!

@ Petehog: Where else am I going to find out what's in your latest version of Redesigned?  I don't think it's off-topic. The various textures you include in your mod assist me in creating morphs. And this is the character show-off, so it is relevant.

Besides, I totally went off-topic when I was giving Y.H. a hard time.


On shady elf...I'm thinking maybe I should do away with her blush altogether...hmmm...I dunno...

But mainly wanted to ask, is that one of default game face textures or a custom one? Asking because that lip shading is pretty interesting, and the philtrum looks different, too.

@ tmp: Haha, well...poop. Maybe I'll do a third version that just has a slightly lower blush intensity. We'll see how that works



As for the skin, it's actually a blend of two custom textures - neither one my own. I don't even know what all is involved in making a texture...Virgin Sacrifice? Photoshop? A combination of the two? But yeah, they're both from True Textures.

Ahh, is that available for download somewhere? Tried "true textures" both at BioWare site and DAnexus but it came with nothing...

@ tmp: I'm sorry, I should have been more specific. It's a part of Petehog's Dragon Age Redesigned (which I think is currently offline for updates at the moment). Dracomies True Textures, is the full name, I believe.

well now i've been out of the fray for a bit but seems things are moving right along. I guess i'll try to make up for lost time and post a few designs i have been messing around with here and there. I suppose i'll wade through some of the later posts to see what's what as well.
