Wow, seeing this makes me wish I would have gotten DA on PC

Tried to make a CE rogue that looks like she's lived the rough life of the Alienage. I tried to give her a somewhat haggard and gaunt look without looking like a starved beggar, and a bit pointy faced. And yes, I gave her green hair, I think it suits her, especially since I named her after a type of plants. . Besides, she's got her faced tattooed, she might as well have gotten her hair done green with some plants and shiz. Bit different from the characters I usually make, but I think I like her.

I just uploaded some eyelash textures for the toolset if anyone is interested.



Petehog were you able to mod your own? I'm glad mikemike pointed you in the right direction. Though the file you need is located in Program Files\\\\\\\\Dragon Age\\\\\\\\packages\\\\\\\\core\\\\\\\\data\\\\\\\\textures You can also change the color as well, but I haven't gotten the hang of it yet myself. The color doesn't show up in the toolset only in gameplay.

Yeah, it took some tweaking but it got done. I can't show pictures of them here on this forum. They won't be in 7.2. But I will for sure put them in 7.3. It was a pain.

@AvatarHunter -  Thank you so much! Alessa's hair choice was a happy accident. I wasn't intending to use that hairstyle, but saw that it actually worked better than the others, haha! XD

@LadyAly - I love Reisha's face tattoo! The colors you used work well with the overall design! You can definitely tell in her eyes that she's an evil thing, but gorgeous none the less! :]

@Nattfodd - Haha, YES! I love it! XD I can imagine him destroying wave after wave of darkspawn with some bad*** guitar riffs, ha!

@Neveri - I love how your characters can pull off the longer/thinner faces (and a teensy bit jealous, I might add! :] ) Hedera has such nice bone structure, I'm digging it!

Schratty: I'm not trying to be late getting to the in-game Anri Screenies, it's just i've had a busy couple of days. I think i'm gonna have a busy day tomorrow as well, but if it doesn't end up a bad day, i'll see what I can do.

I agree, blue light for Anri sounds good! It looks like Dalish Origin it is! Maybe a Robe will drop en route to the Pic Taking Area so she can look the Dalish Keepers Apprentice for the Pic. If not, then oh well, I guess Dalish Leather would suffice as well. Oops, oh wait... Robes are Mage Restricted, aren't they?

If I had the option, I would definitely be willing to consider an Arnie Voiced Conan!  (The Player Voice options are one of the few area of this Game BioWare did not 5 Star, but Voice Acting seems to be damn hard for Games to manage to get good at... maybe there's too few skilled Voice Actors in the world. I can imagine Voice Acting being a damn hard skill to master, so I forgive minor Voice Acting quality problems.)

VirusCat: Those remakes are awesome! Good call on making Marjolaine look like an innocent, beautiful woman! Running around with a stereotypical, evil, villainous smirk on her Face everywhere she went would be a hilariously stupid thing for her to do, & wouldn't make any sense! *looks at some of the Marjolaine comments in other replies with an amused expression on face* What kinda sorry excuse of a professional Rogue would run around all over the place intentionally trying to look evil on purpose as their strategy to not get caught?

Nattfodd: I like him, he's unique! If ya hate Staves, seek the Arcane Warrior Specialization. It's possible to use it for just the Weapons alone if ya don't think he would work in non-Robe stuff. I think the closest you're gonna get to a Guitar in Ferelden is a GreatAxe. Or, if ya are buff at the Toolset, maybe ya could make a GreatAxe that looks like an Electric Guitar, & include bonus Electric Damage into it's build! That could be cool to see!

LadyAly: Reisha's great! She looks like an Arcane Noble!

Noir201: WOW!!! Dani's completely, utterly adorable! Though, I request a Screenie of her with a full frontal view, because I can't tell for sure, but there may be a bugger with her Cheeks... but I can't be sure with just that one Screenie...

@Nattfodd - not Black Metal - but Metal and Hard Rock enough to see from where the face is coming from. I know I have seen this painted face on one of the covers. (Behemoth ? Gorgoroth ?) But right - I'm not a fan *lol*
As I said its at least unique.

Hedera is great ! She looks harmed and unhappy - damn good work.
I agree with Tyrax - with the Tattoo she looks more Dalish as a CE.
One little thing is bothering me - is there a possibility to get rid off the strange lines at the hairline ?
I think she looks perfect with that style, but this thin lines ...
The colored hair with plants would fit also more to a Dalish then a CE.

@Nattfodd, it's clear you assume unusual is a bad thing to call a character then. It is not however. As for the black metal music part, I actually dated a guy who was in a black metal band for about 2 years, I've listend to quite a lot of it, and still do at times. Do post pics if you end up giving him an electric guitar!

@Tyrax Lightning, as far as I know there aren't any robes dropping along the route, but you can always just use a armor mod for one? Not all of them are mage restricted.
As for Hedera looking Dalish, you do have a point there. I suppose I could just have her being highly fascinated by them, and thus attempt to look more like them than a city elf? I did make her a Dalish first, but I wanted those tattoos, and the City Elf background. So I'll stick with a high fascination of the Dalish. <.<

@LadyAly, harmed and unhappy was what I wanted her to look, I'm glad I managed. Yes, as I said to Tyrax, I agree she has a bit of Dalish over her, but I'll just have her being fascinated by them. Would fit her story I think, what with being as she is, wanting to be with the Dalish but so far stuck in the Alienage would suit her character. As for the hair lines, I suppose with the toolset you could remove them? I've no idea as I don't use it. They do bother me a little, but I love that hair on her to much. I suppose I can just edit them out with photoshop if I post more pictures of her.

I don't mind SHOWING OFFs of mods, like textures and eyelashes (as long as it is said what we should look at) but I don't like the posts that are like "I made a new mod, come look". I adore the LOTC-mods but I still don't like the pic-less posts about new mods and part of mods (see, I'm even telling my fav modmaker to stop this, it's not only you Petehog). Anyone understand me or am I alone in this? :S

As for Marjolaine, thanks for the comments but Tyrax is absolutely right. Marjolaine would be stupid if she went around with an evil witch-face... right? She's a seductress and someone you trust. Making an evil-face as her neutral one wouldn't make sense.

I would try to smooth out her features a bit. She's an interesting design but all the jagged edges makes her look like she comes from a game with worse graphics than DAO. The design itself is cool, it's just that she might need some tiiiny tweaks for the whole face to be more balanced. Just my opinion as usual

Apart from the ear which is bothering me (clipping?) I like her. Sweet and innocent face, but with something in the eyes that says "I'm better than you" or something O: That's the feeling I get anyway

Thanks everyone for all of your kind words and input about Una's eyes. I did wind up deciding to change them a bit.



Here are the new eyes. Instead of blind, whitish eyes, I went the opposite and gave her dark black orbs. They may still look a bit soulless, but I think it gives her more substance.

I'm not exactly sure where to start - seems they are still a huge corner in the toolset I have no idea about or so.

@megalust Well, yes - this eyes not good for her. Then stay better with the blind eyes.
Thanks for the compliment about Reisha. I'm not sure where to find a fiery or black robe, though.

@megalust, I think you should have kept to the white eyes as well, black doesn't fit with the rest of the design.



@LadyAly, you could download the dye kit mod and just dye a mage robe in the colours you want for her? Could get a black and fiery robe that way if you wanted.

and advices for perfecting this one. it's just about the facial
features.

i just use the external character creator and i don't
have any mods. the picutures are brightened up a little bit because the
in-game screens of the creator are quite dark.

I found the default Marjolaine morph pretty good in this regard. For the DLC it was mainly the matter of making the character somewhat younger (story happening few years earlier) but without making her look outright young since she's got some 10 or so years over Leliana. Well that and the silly makeup

Settings for Reisha's Tattoo Tattoo channel one is red on 1.00
Channel 3 is on yellow with 0.67

SO - I made some changes on her. Tried to soft her features a little bit, made the irises smaller, tweaked the  ears and chosed another skin base aaand - made a black robe for her 

this is the result
