Neveri: Silviara looks quite the beautiful, mysterious lady... I bet she could do well at finding villainous uses for the Spirit line of Magic.

Petehog: Maiden in Black is awesome! Though she's not meshing together. She's got a Mage job (I see her Staff) & Mage clothes, but her appearance & Tattoo look Roguish. If ya wanna keep her Face & Tattoo, then I think she would work better as a DW Rogue, rather then as a Mage. She feels to me like a beautiful, dark Assassin. If ya wanna keep to this current plan, then she's definitely gonna wanna go Blood Mage or BM + AW.

Schratty: Barbarossa has 'Don't cross me!!!' written all over him! He looks the part of a Ferelden Pirate!

Salona's met Zevran now! I can see now why some love him & some can't stand him!

This line he fed me cracked me up!

LadyAly: the DWBH hairs are those two or three elaborate human only ones right? I think they're called hf_har_jx001 or something similar. When you open up the hair selection mini window, you should be able to get rid of the filter at the bottom, if you didn't already know.

@LadyAly Alright! Good to see some more non lore characters, fun isn't it? That white hair and tat really give Glacy a luminous, in your face look. The ice mage theme is making it's presence known here. I also backtracked a bit and had a look at Thekla, she definitely has that aura of a woman who has lived a rough and tumble life in the slums of the alienage. The scar on her cheek was the icing on the cake, nice touch with that choice.

@Mochen Yet again there you go doing what you do best, you did a fine job with your big burly bearded warrior Arshavir.

@Zeleen Nice work with your dalish elves there, I especially like Elvirah's eyes that is an interesting hue.

@Neveri I said it before but I really like your style of elves, they have their own personal look that sets them apart to me. Silviara's pale skin, hair, and eye color made for a nice composition, good decision on that combination.

@Schratty Well first I will say that it's interesting to see you take on a rough and rugged type design. Barbarossa is certainly a different look from your existing characters and I think you did  well with capturing a good bad ass look

 Well now after asian men I figured it would only make sense to try for a female design while I'm in the midset for it and since I don't have any. Not to mention I need some balance, can't have men without women lol, this is Orihime.

You add the "t1_stb" as prefix to any hair tint which doesn't have name beginning with "t3_har". This applies to most of the custom hair colour from what i saw.

If the hair tint does have "t3_har" at the beginning of the name, then you replace that with "t1_stb".

(also, you don't need to tweak the chargenfile for that if you just want to fix the white hair roots issue. The chargen file tweak is only needed if you want to have the custom colour available for the stubble/eyebrows, i think)

Neveri..  Thank you.. I did want Elvirah to look tough.  I posted the link to Blayz's robe above this post.. I thought I was lucky to find it to fit her personality..  I hope to be able to whip robes and weapons and armor someday.. but right now I can't get past simple copy and paste LOL!

The new file can sit in anywhere in the "override" folder of your Dragon Age installation (this is typically "BioWare / Dragon Age / packages / core / override" directory in your Documents folder)

The custom hair tints will be hopefully in separate sub-folder somewhere in there, and you can keep the newly created copies in that sub-folder, it should work from there.

I really like Barbossa. He has a very tough look. Here’s a suggestion that might change his look a bit…Obviously you want to save a copy of your older version because this might not be the best fit. But there are certain things that can give a HM a more....intimidating presence.

It's marquiseondore's awesome Eyebrow Presets.Once you have installed that to your override, choose the "thick" eyebrow instead of "regular"Next make the hair color redbrown, which is slightly darker. And put stubble to the max. Also try the Duncan beard. I personally like it better than beard1.

You can get it by:

02. Part Selection==>Beard==>Push the arrow down==> Choose All model files==> click on hm_brd_duca_0
That should do it.

As for your question earlier, the bald guy doesn't replace an NPC yet. Still figuring out who he should go on.

@Petehog That's a very nice asian design you have there as well. From my own personal observation I found that alot of asian women usually have full lips and large corneas so I focused on that in my design. I think also aside from the eyes which will generally give a character the asian look other supporting details like the right hairstyle or even eyebrows tend to push the look more. With that being said good choices on the features you went with.

badboy64: Hair that shows up 'Blue' in the Toolset is more easily worked with in the CC. It shows up normally in the CC.

Hmm....I would say make the hair a bit darker. More brownish. I would go with..t3_har_rbr. Something with less saturation..

If you are looking to give him red hair,  go with "pt_har_re4" from Pineapple Tree's colors,

Also my advice is no different from anyone else. Everyone here is very helpful and offers great advice.

Ok, next step. It looks like you have the white line on the head. here's the fix:



1. Open the *.mor file of your character with the Toolset.

2. Go to MORPH_TINTFILENAMES and change the content of line 11 to the color you want to use.

E.g. if you're using the tint "pt_har_bl4" for your hair, you have to change said value to "pt_stb_bl4".

@Petehog I don't agree with Tyrax for a darker skin. The Asian style is very difficult - there are Thai - Chinese, Japanese - all having some different features. I guess there is no ALLOVER Asian style,
But she looks indeed a bit like a Leliana with a touch of asian style - which means nothing is wrong with her - but nothing special.

@Schratty XD !! That is Barbarossa the King I can imagine - great work *thumbs* 

@Zeleen Orlando needs a bit darker features I would say - darker hair and brows. But he is a very good design

@LadyAly I am actually rather amped to see the other mages you have in store because now that makes us allies in the non lore fantasy character movement that I just now decided to proclaim lol. After staring at Botis and Zagan for a while, I think I will continue with my fantasy character designs as well. Cheers!

@Zeleen Hey Orlando is a well rounded looking guy to me and I like your choice of facial hair, it seems to fit very well with his overall look. Maybe trying a darker hair color like Lady mentioned would be a good idea, although to me sometimes personal preference prevails when dealing with hair colors so long as it compliments the skin tone.
