However my post was kind of aimed at everyone here. I just want to try and encourage a bit more constructive criticism. It seems people are quite hesitant to pick faults in peoples work now.
If everyone always receives gleaming praise for every morph they make... well, then it devalues the whole thing.
Personally I am always open to suggestions on how I can improve a design. My style has evolved a fair bit over the months, and it's partly down to receiveing useful constructive criticism. Sometimes I will change a design based on comments, sometimes not.
Also, if you are satisfied with your lore designs..then you haven't wasted your time.

@Nowshin I appreciate your critic very much. In fact - ( don't hate me ) I created her with less care and ashamed I have to admitt it was a provocation. I was simple curious who has the balls to say what is wrong ( like the brows *lol* )
I agree heartily with mochen in this case - always saying nice things helps no one and will be only let you make the same fault over and over again.
*hugs Nowshin and declares love to her and mochen*

P.S. Actually I myself started posting here only weeks ago, and I started twuddling with the morphs only 1 1/2 month or so ago. Does that make me a noob as well? lol

I guess I am more noobish than you Nowshin. Before my Toolset was working I had only the CC and my album for that creations makes me still proud if I browse through.
BUT - this designs in CC especially, were only possibly through constructive critic and pointing out into the right direction.
Now I need something to eat *grins*

Whooo, Morrigan's teeth are finally fixed...thank goodness. Off to nexus now. Should I make a redesign for wynne too? Personally I found her Vanilla morph pretty fitting for her character, but does anybody have suggestions?

This is Sara
Great job - I'm just a bit stumped about the resmblance between your avatar
and Sara; mostly eyes, eyebrows and mouth - I don't say that is a bad thing
It would really irritate me if it was like the resemblance between Draconies'
Gheyna (Cammlen's love interest in the 'Nature Of The Beast' dalish camp)
and Draconie's 'Leliana's Song' dlc Leliana override morphs hence this is a
replacer mod.
The way I understood Nowshin's reply it was just friendly teasing
- not a 'don't you dare critizise Draconies!'

Sometimes this happens, I've seen that some good-looking morphs made by the same designer tend to have similarities since our conception of beauty doesn't change.I've felt the urge to put some basic features that I like in every morph that I make, and it frustrates me sometimes.
BTW Chairon de Celeste please download the new aesthetics version at nexus with the teeth fix, it seems better now, IMO.

I don't know anything about the dracomies reference, but if you are saying Sara is the same design as my avatar. Well...they are not.
If you look more closely you will see Sara has wider cheekbones, thinner chin, bigger eyes, different shaped nose, fuller lips, different eyebrows, thinner jaw, more gaunt cheeks, deeper eye sockets...etc. Not to mention hair, make-up and skin tones.
Granted, the faces are similar...but not the same.
However, point taken. I will try something different next time. <_<

and the afaik always constructive criticism
It always helped me too to get at least a day distance between
me, my baby aka character design and constructive criticism.
I just wouldn't want it like what seems to happen to Aimo quite often
I'm glad that doesn't occur here.

1. While capturing screenshots pressing "V" helps.
2. Close up shots are necessary if others are to give feedback on the face. If you don't know how, walking close to a wall and rotating the camera always helps
3. There are some places in DA world where the lighting really, really sucks. Try to avoid posting your screenies in those places.
4. Characters drenched in blood are hard to see, so avoid that too unless you're deliberately trying to make that char look intimidating.
I hope that helps:blush:

@mochen Sara is a wonderful design - especially this amazing dress. All colors fit her well.
@Saerwen She is pretty - but I don't like this eye style on her - or it is too big. Maybe give her a tad more squeeze ?
@Forlorn welcome back - and she is a truely demonic child *thumbs*
@adneate OH - the freckles !!! Faye is so cute - but both designs are very you - I really like the way you create characters.
@awpdevil Yes she looks gorgeous - can we see more of her ?
@Chairon de Celeste Ookay - I guess I need something to say about the *similarity* of pictures/designs/Avatars
Everyone has his own fiction in mind of what is beauty - right ? So mochen's designs are exquisite and branded from her vision and style to make. SO are adneates, Neveris, Nowshin, Petehog - your own - etc etc
So I find it a bit .. mmh.. unfair to criticise that a avatar looks similar to a design. That isn't the point of this thread nor has it to do with design. If you compare the pictures you will always find some similarity due to the points I mentioned. I see it on my own ones - they have a unique style - which I would say it is only my style to make designs.
I guess this is the point who you could hurt feelings or annoy people and change the friendly tone here.
Even if mochen said she has *point taken*
I for myself would be angry - sorry. Its a discredit of the designing style imo.

I think if you centered them on that very top horizontal line it should get rid of the sort of "Floaty" aspect the brows currently have.
The other thing would be colour selection, your Aesthetics version is very dark, black eye shadow and dark lipstick. A really dark colour palette can work but I think Morrigan always works a bit better with a slightly more exotic colour pallette of purples. She's supposed to have an exotic wild quality to her, personally I don't know if black is the best choice to portray something like that.
@Mochen Really cool guy there! what skin tint is that? I can't seem to place it.

The armor is the Armor Of The Pious from the Armor Of The Devout modification - so heavenlly fits
And Mochen - that new character is simply adoreable!

@ Caladhiel: Faye still very much = WIN
@ PanoSmirnakos: Orlesian Warden - He does look very Warden-Commander-y, though he would probably benefit from having his nose and mouth raised a bit.
@ LadyAly: Morrigan - I happen to like the purple make-up scheme. But, I would suggest changing her eyebrows to "regular" and making her upper lip a little plumper. She's a solid start, though
@ Tyrax: Sorry the hair color didn't work for you. It seemed like a pretty intense dark red on my machine, but oh well
@ KenzeKillah: Sxin's a pretty good CC design. I really like your choice of eyes, but yeah, the jaw is maybe a hair on the wide side. Still, good work!
@ Saerwen: Tattoos usually look awful on my designs, but you seem to have a real gift for making them work well on your morphs. That said, I think Isabella's tattoo is crazy awesome. Her eyes are a bit on the big side and you might consider raising her chin a smidge, but those are minor things.
@ Forlorn: Usha's face proportions are very good and her lips are simply amazing. But, as already mentioned, she does seem rather sad for a seductress
@ adneate: Anya - Maybe it's because I'm a big softy who always plays "good" characters, but I prefer Anya to her "snotty" counterpart. Not a huge fan of the lip color, but that's simply a matter of different aesthetic tastes
Faye - In a word? Adorable! She looks like a more tomboyish version of her "sister".
@ Nowshin: You've done a great job on Morrigan. I'd probably like the aesthetic version more than the lore if her make-up wasn't quite as intense. Personal preference; stellar work regardless.
@ awpdevil: She looks very elegant from the one screenshot provided. I'm going to make a request for additional screens, though
@ mochen: Keenan is...well, you already know...I approve
On the other end of the spectrum from mochen's incredibly grizzled and manly Keenan...
I thought to myself, what would happen if Leliana and Ser Gilmore had an extremely smarmy baby...I was going to name him Ser Ponceface, but decided to go with "Luc" instead.
Luc (aka Ser Ponceface)
An Orlesian Chevalier and a smarmy d-bag.

I'm a newcomer here. (bows head)
I unfortunately only use the character creator. The toolset is so complex. But it's so dazzling to see all of these dazzling designs by dazzling people.
Great job everyone!
And high fives!

Well to put it this way - sometimes folks request odd morphs
and sometimes Draconies does them the favor
If you are talking about Dragon Age redesigned, I totally agree. He has like 12 different versions of Morrigan.
I personally am a lore nut so I use his True Lore Morrigan which he released last week.
@Mochen
You post some great work!
@Nowshin and Adneate
This is regarding the comment above made by Adneate to Nowshin. I mean no disrespect to anyone but Nowshin I would keep your Morrigan the same. Changing your design would make yours the same as Adneate's Lore version. And i wouldn't change it. Not saying anyone here is better or bad. I'm just saying...KEEP your style. That is what makes YOU unique. Each of y'all have your own style.
