Behold... I've invented a new Race... the Furions!!!

Duncan, Bryce, & Arl Howe seem to like what they see...

Female Furions put whole new meaning into the term, 'Red Hot'!
Don't worry ladies, you get your Eye Candy too! Fair is fair!

Hey, what's this? Duncan, Bryce, & Arl Howe seem to be liking what they see here too...

The Furions came from the lands far to the North-East of Ferelden, & some theorize, North of Qunari Lands. They are red skinned, capable of using Fire as a weapon summoned from seemingly nowhere, have incredible athleticism, & above average Physical Resists. Oddly enough, they don't demonstrate weakness to Ice, though it still has effective use on them. They're temperamental & prideful, & can be angered easily. They seem to have poor Mental Resists, & don't seem to commonly get to high levels of Intelligence, preferring brute force over strategy or Wisdom.
The Furions claim that they can't possess Magic, & are baffled by talk of the so-called 'Fade'. They are powerful Warriors, & ok Rogues. They say that their Fire is powered by their inner Rage, that they learn to control as they grow up during their childhood. They are expected to finish mastering their Fire Powers by adulthood, or be scorned, ridiculed, & disrespected by their peers. They place great emphasis on power, skill, & ability, & exercise constant competitiveness with each other over power, prestige, & achievement. They say that in ancient times, it wasn't uncommon for competitiveness to cause bloodshed & murder, but nowadays, hurting each other is normal & commonplace, but murder of their own kind without just cause is no longer acceptable. This came about when they finally realized that killing each other too much left them too often of insufficient strength to grow as a people & maintain defense against other Nations.
Their 1st Fire ability, they start with at Level 1, & is eerily similar to the 1st tier Mage Fire Spell. The Furions demonstrated it in a public exhibition in the desire to scare these foreign Fereldeners into respect for the Furion People, but this went horribly wrong... 5 Templars & a seasoned veteran Templar Commander were in attendance at the time, & when they saw the display, it looked too much like the Mage Spell of similar nature for their liking, & the Templars promptly confronted the 2 Furions that were exibitioning, accusing them of using Magic. The Furions vehemently denied the accusations, claiming that Furions cannot possibly possess or wield Magic, & they never knew of it before contact with Magic-wielding foreigners. The Templars, being the paranoid, thick-skulled zealots they are, attacked & killed the 2 Furions, then declared war on the 'Apostate Race'. Soon after that, the Furions were declared Demons, & the war began...

I think I keep getting the camera too close for the frontal pics. It distorts them. Oh well. As my countrymen would say, c'est la vie. That's French, right? I'm assuming they'd say that. I think I know what it means.

@megalust ~ Sorcha, she is a different design, what skin tone did you use? Outside she looks kind of dead…. Not saying that is necessarily a bad thing, but it is different. Love the scar; also like that you went away from the traditional elf look. I like the first screenshot best. But in the outside shot her eyes look a bit large, maybe a little smidge of squint. Otherwise, nice original looking design. ~You hit it right on the nose w/Isabella, good guess she is a total batsh!t crazy arcane warrior. I love massive armor, and the black runic armor looks really good on female elves and women in my opinion. I appreciate the notice. I dunno if Morwen will go the arcane warrior route, but she is so much fun!
@adneate ~ I like your new City Elf, he looks tough and a bit shifty… like I would need to watch my purse around him. On a physical level, his eyes seem a bit high set to me, but it could be the camera angle. I also appreciate your feedback on Morwen, it helped a lot, and I am much happier with her now.
@StrikeSaber47 ~Some of us do use the Morrigan slider, sometimes I will use a little of her and Leliana, now that my toolset is patched up. It never hurts to put out a question, please don’t be afraid to ask.
@Nowshin~ Oh my Garrett Hawke, we may need to start a thread just for him if there isn’t one already. I think there is something just a tad off, his chin is good as far as I can tell I can see where you were going with the nose, so I think it is the eyes, maybe they need to go down just a bit? I think he looks like Hawke. Well done!
@Ibaru88 ~ I like Silver, but I can’t see her beautiful face!!! I am a sucker for the bright eye textures, so cool eyes, nice mouth, and eye brow. Maybe you will redo the morph someday with a different hairstyle and repost.
@Ashaman X ~Roxanne is very girl next door who can probably shoot lightning bolts at you, then cut you down with her longsword… that said, I actually like that hair color on her. The hairstyle you chose for her suits her face as well. Her facial proportions are good, eyes a little large, but that is ok, (some of us like larger eyes!). She is quite nice. Thanks for posting.
@AvatarHunter~ Kazuma and Taki look much more like pirates than Isabela from the Pearl. Maybe you should re-
do her? Ezekiel, the spider tattoo is a nice touch, it borders a bit on a prison tat though. I have to agree with Nowshin on the body mod when getting screenies with that robe/skirt, the vanilla body is HORRENDOUS! ~Thanks for the compliment on Morwen. I wanted her to have a different look to her. I do posses the ability to make soft looking elves with cute little heart shaped faces. I have one that I did and everytime I load her up to screenshot her for this thread I just hate on her! Elves should be fierce and beautiful. Thank you also for the link to those ehem mage robes.
@LadyAly~ Rufus, he actually looks like Russell Crowe to me, from Gladiator, well a bit anyways. He looks very sad, but formidable. Good work and he looks very different from most of the other man morphs that get posted up here. ~Since you so graciously shared your Morrigan with me I would be honored to share my Alistair with you, should you so desire!
@Neveri ~Morriana is stunning. If you ever did put up .mops you should put her up as a poster child, she is really beautiful, and even though she is rocking Leli’s hair cut she doesn’t resemble her. Excellent work. Mellaneth is also a stunning piece of work. I really love the eyebrows. I wish I could make elves soft like that. I agree with the blood mage thing, not all are bad, some just want power.
@mochen~ All I can say is Wow. Your forgotten templar is bad@ss.
@KenzeKillah~ She is a good start, but I have some suggestions, there are others here who are better at the
“softer elves” so you can play with this and see if you like it. Her eyes are very large, I would defiantly squint them some, also move her nose up some narrow her chin a bit, lighten her eye makeup a bit, it is a bit overwhelming,(it could just be the screenies though) also maybe thin her lips just a touch, not much. She has a nice look to her, but it is a bit masculine. I hope this was helpful, and like I said, my elves are not exactly the best so check out some of the other’s work and see what you like and tweak her from there.
And here is my Elven Arcane Warrior Tanna in the Dead Trenches, just for fun!

I hate how the Underworld Armor clips at the neck.. only complaint!

@Zeleen and your Leli is pretty good, too
@apdewil I like such screenshots
@Tyrax Hehehe - sounds a bit like my Dryad Nymphs - I would suggest you use petehogs new underwear on the females - the vanilla ones are so ugly.
@Bitterfoam Dwarfes not easy to make. I would suggest to narrow his eyes a tad and make them a hair bigger. His nose seems to *eat* the moustache. Consider to lower the mouth a bit.
@Saerwen - Thank you - I tried to get some more muscular body - but I can't get the DA:O Modmanager to work. At least it fits in his *who cares* thinking. And now that you mentioned it -
Tanna is so beautiful IG !
@Chairon HAHAHA - a good decision to take Hawke *rofl*
@Petehog The angry version is the one in the trailer as he is nearly defeted and suddenly he has flashbacks and turns into a mighty magical berserker - I suppose.
Both versions are excellent anyway - and the clown behind him is the WIN !!!
I worked - after some requests - on another Dryad Nymph. Casseia is the huntress and caretaker of the wildlife in the clan.

WHY MUST YOU INSIST ON KILLING US WITH YOUR INSANELY CREATIVE AWESOME CREATIONS?
Seriously, I was SO glad I wasn't drinking something when I looked up this thread....Male! Morrigan is niiiiice (though the jae/chin could use some more tweaking), but Female! Alistair is a work of art. Museums aren't worthy of a creation as EPIC as this!<3 Shows that Alistair will be hot even in parallel universes
@Lynn01: Your CE is pretty good in the proportions department, but the makeup needs some work. The eye color is too intense, and cnsidering her BG the tattoo doesn't work very well. Maybe try a different one? Also giving her more colorful lips might help setting her lips well apart from her skin color
@megalust: hahaha! Ikara is rocking that outfit
@Neveri: Your morrigan is pretty <3 Don't agree on the eye color choice, but that's personal preference. And I agree with you about the saing the best for ourselves thing. After working for hours for others we deserve a little selfishness  I was quite confused whether I should include my lesbian crush Ephy in my presets mod, and though I did it I kept the "improved" awakening version for myself
@Tyrax: Don't worry I didn't mind, I as just curiious:P Furions are awesome!
@Saerwen: Wow Tanna's deep trenches screenie is AWESOME! :)how did you get her to do that?

@Petehog: I think I'm in love...^^ But I actually liked the first version better. He's tough enough for me, the second version overdoes it a little for me
@Chairon: She looks cool, but it would be great to get some close-ups of Tempest's face
@Neveri: Mellaneth suits your description so well, and that second screenshot is just... wow! I'm usually not fond of the really slim eyebrows, but with her they look simply spot-on. Great job!
@Kenzeh: I really like Dristyn's mature feminine look, she has a sort of 'sad diva' accent to her which is great!
@Bitterfoam: Yeah, you're getting there!
As for your dwarf, maybe try lightening up the tattoo - the colours are very intense (what with the hair and beard and all^^)
@Lynn01: I think you could optimise the colour combination... You've combined quite a few different colours: you've got the red hair, the green eyes and make-up, the brown eyebrows and the light brown tattoo. Maybe try tinkering with the colour palette to get a better flow in there... fewer colours that complement each other often look better
@Schratty: Your Femstair is... incredible! I love the whole composition, and the wider nose is IT! Another proof that small flaws makes the characters so much more real and exciting
@megalust: The one thing that bothers me about Ikara are her eyebrows. They're very thick and round, and they seem to clash with the tattoo.
@madmaxx: Thanks for the compliment!
Your AW is nice, but he's got quite a feminine touch to him... I guess it's due to the thin eyebrows and the very light eyes. Maybe try to give him thicker eyebrows and see how it works...
@Saerwen: That first screenshot is very cool, she looks very pretty
@LadyAly: She looks great from the front, and the colours and the tattoo are gorgeous! There's just one thing... that side view is bothering me a little... Her chin and nose are both very prominent, maybe try scaling down one of the two?
Now for a small contribution on my part. I actually tried making a male mage, but I seriously suck at men, dunno why.^^ So I abandoned him and made another 'her' (yes, boring, I know. Sorry.)
Anyways, here's Calista. Quiet, calculating, keeps to herself, specalises in Entropy (will probably become a SH/BM, not sure yet). I'm still not 100% happy with her, and I wanted to hear your thoughts:

I decided I'd try my hand at making a male Aeducan. Dwarves are interesting to make, aren't they?

Either that or I called you all a bunch of lemon muffins.
Nice. I'm liking that dwarf. I've taken a crack at making a dwarf a couple of times, but unfortunately they end up not looking like dwarfs, but just more like little fat humans. (not sure if that makes any sense...)
I got a craving for playing a full blown evil character in DA so I decided to make an evil elf mage.
I thought a mage would prove good since as a mage you are gifted with this "super human" power, and gives you this ability to play a character that can just look down on everyone else because of this immense power you possess without being shackled by the chantry and the circle.
I also thought an elf would compliment that well seeing how they have been held down and been mistreated for a long time, and that is excellent fuel for the hatred and malcontent the character has towards other races.
So, I made Ryzel... I just started playing him, but I'm so happy with the thought process that went into this character and just the feeling that goes with playing this type of character that I am sure as hell going to play the game through with this character.
Anyway, here he is...
I included 2 early in game screen shots and just 2 screen shots of the face morph from the toolset (sans hair)

I might change his hairstyle though... i'm kinda not sure about it, but I couldn't find anything else that suited him.
If any of you have any suggestions I would appreciate it.

@ Neveri - Another nice Morrigan design there! I've said it before, but it is interesting to see everyone impliment their own styles into NPC designs.
@ Tyrax - haha that is a very eccentric concept! I love how you come up with all these crazy original ideas!
@ Bitterfoam - Cool dwarf design. He looks very noble. Personally I love making dwarven men, but the females I find extremely challenging!
@ Saerwen - Great shots of Tanna!
@ Petehog - Uh, you know, I actually prefer your first version as well. I'm not sure why. Maybe version 2's lower face is a little short and stubby? That might be it. Hard to tell from the angle though.
@ LadyAly - I love these Nymph designs! They are a very cool concept. And the armour you are using works so well!
@ Ibaru88 - I think you've blended his scars and his eyebrows together nicely. Yeah, I'm not sure about that hairstyle either. Try a few other and see what happens.
@ Caladhiel - I think your design is stunning! Maybe her makeup is a touch on the heavy side though? You could perhaps lighten the blush a tad?
Ok! I just made my first tattoo! and it is...*drum roll* - a black dot!
haha, actually it's supposed to be a beauty spot. In the same place Marylin Monroe had hers. Not much of an attempt I know, but maybe it does add a little something extra to a design?

@Neveri With Mellaneth's clear skin, dark features, and rosy red hue of lipstick she carries about something of a goth pin up girl appearance to me. Hmm I would say think Dita Von Teese to get a better image of what I mean. I also think she is a great example that sometimes less is more. It looks like you and the toolset have a flourishing relationship in the works! I see you drenched your morrigan in personal preference as well, she's got that cold and sexy look working for her indeed.
@Bitterfoam Good on you with the revision of your HNM, he looks very bright-eyed and bushy tailed now. And since you are working from within the CC I wouldn't fret too much on the lip size, that seems to be a feature you have to make peace with, though there are some good presets out there with more proportioned lips and other features to work on.
@Kenzekillah Something that I noticed about Dristyn that I like is that you managed to give her strong proportions but still maintain a feminine look overall. Another thing to add is that I find it interesting that her appearance almost looks like a mesh of your own style and bioware's initial look for elves.
@Madmaxx Hey don't short change yourself, you have two good looking designs posted there in all honesty. I like that overall theme of red/black color combinations for your thief, those two colors together in particular always have had a strong presence to me.
@Schratty Your gender swap companion designs were some pretty innovative ideas! I love when people let their train of thought veer off the tracks because it always takes you to interesting destinations for sure. Excellent work on the your female Alistair because you know how fond I am of said flaws and her nose just gives a ridiculous amount of personality to her appearance imo.
@Zeleen You guys have been going all out with the companion remakes as of late. I have to say it is nice to see characters that everyone is familiar with but through the eyes of someone else. Nice rendition of Leli, you maintained the look of the original but made her in your own light
@Tyrax Hah a new race eh? That is an interesting concept to dive into. I would actually like to see you expand on that idea a bit, perhaps some more character designs for your Furions
@LadyAly Alright first thing i want to point out about your nymph that caught my attention is the coordination of all the elements you chose from colors to armor. All sit so well with one another, even the weapon choice seems rather strategic and contributes very much to her look. Lovely work on this one.
@Caladhiel For Calista I want to say first that I feel you passed on her personal qualities that you wrote in her description well and I like that look in her eye. Since I have no real quarrey with the build of her face I could only suggest darker tones and features. This however doesn't have to be limited to merely darker hair color, but rather be a change in the color of her robe or shade of lipstick. A small contribution of darker tones would make her appearance more bold and highlight her personality I think without giving that overwhelmingly evil presentation.
@Petehog welcome back, nice work on your Hawke design. He looks to have served as a good canvas to show off those cool textures you've got in the works.

@Caladhiel Here's what I would do to your elf, prehaps some of the things I say might be helpful in getting what you want. First I would remove or change the blush, either make it much lighter (below 0.25) or take it off totally. Then for the eyebrows I would arch them upwards, not a great deal but enough to eliminate the slightly depressed look she has right now. I'd also reduce the size of the lower lip to make them a little more balanced, she can still have the lower lip larger than the top but I wouldn't go too far with that. Next would be the nose I'd actually give it more a tip, maybe angle the tip upwards to craft a slightly more pointed "Elfy" nose that should work a bit better on a small and narrow face. The last thing I'd do would be make her ears a bit bigger, obviously they have to be balanced against the hair and not clip through it but I think if they were a bit wider, taller and turned out a little more she'd look real nice. I prefer to put the hair for Elves up or keep it short just to show off their ears. Hope some of that stuff helps.
